We had a really easy time exacting a used car purchase with a really quick turnaround.

Benchmark service. No BS, no games…read more I'm a car guy. I've bought and wrenched on enough vehicles to know how the used-car game usually goes, so I came to Houdek skeptical. Ryan changed that from the first email. He answered every question straight, sent the Carfaxes without being asked twice, pressure-tested the cooling system and checked the CVT fluid when I asked, and provided receipts for the work they did before selling me the car. No pressure, no runaround. The day after delivery, the alternator failed. That's the moment most dealers stop returning calls. Houdek replaced it free of charge, and the owner personally apologized. That's not policy. That's people who actually care about the folks who buy from them. We bought this Outback for our family, and Houdek treated it like it mattered as much to them as it did to us. If you want a used car from people who will tell you the truth and stand behind it, ask for Ryan.

He insisted I call him if there was an issue despite their policy (and the age of the vehicle). I felt nothing but excellent and personable customer service!

I was genuinely shocked by the level of unprofessionalism, the unfriendly attitude, and the way people spoke during my interactions with this dealership. The way the salesperson conducted themselves was unacceptable, and I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing coming out of their mouth. When you deal with a car dealership, you expect basic courtesy, professionalism, and respect. Buying a vehicle is a major financial decision, and customers deserve to be treated with dignity--not made to feel uncomfortable by rude behavior and an unprofessional attitude. What really gets me is that customer service should be one of the most important parts of selling cars. You would think a dealership would understand that how you speak to people matters. Apparently, that wasn't my experience at Dave Wright Nissan. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience. There are plenty of other dealerships out there that deserve your business, and I strongly encourage people to shop around before giving Dave Wright Nissan their money. You work hard for your money, and you deserve to deal with people who actually know how to treat customers with respect. I walked away extremely disappointed, and this experience left a terrible impression of the dealership. No matter how many cars a dealership sells, that doesn't excuse rude behavior or a lack of professionalism. My advice: Take your business elsewhere. There are other places to buy a car, and you do not have to put up with this kind of treatment. A dealership should earn your business through respect, honesty, and professionalism--not leave you wondering how people can get away with speaking to customers the way they do. I would never want someone else to have the same disappointing experience I had. Shop around, explore your options, and think twice before choosing Dave Wright Nissan.

Yesterday, January 16, the car revved up to 5000 RPM's, would not shift, and would not go over 35 mph. It also does not shift into reverse now. We've had this car 10 days. We have not even received the title in the mail yet even though they cashed the check more than a week ago (they said they would send us the title when the check cleared - it doesn't take 8 days for a piece of mail to travel within the same town). The car isn't even in our name yet and it's useless. We were also told upon purchase that the price included a 30 day warranty, however, nothing in our paperwork indicates the car has a warranty. I called and spoke to someone this morning and was told there was nothing they could do because their cars are sold as is. I was told "It doesn't matter if the car lasts 2 days, it was sold as is." I was also told that there's no way they told us there was a 30 day warranty when we purchased the car. They offered to look at the car, however, I would not trust that they would be honest with anything that was wrong or fix things correctly after this. This place will scam you out of your money and take zero responsibility for any issues you may have. For the sake of your wallet, look for a car somewhere else.
