Called about selling my well maintained car. Told them about everything going on with my situation and about my car. They said they could work with me and to bring in the car to appraise it. Showed up and they never even looked at the car. Adam went to the counter for 10 min and came back and told me they couldn't get to what i wanted. I needed 18110 in order to sell and I had no control over that number. Kbb trade in showed 16500-19600 as a trade in range. Which tells me they just wanted to low ball me. What an absolute waste of everyone's time. At least look at the car. read more

NOT Recommended. These guys baited and switched vehicles on me. I was told about a 2020 Camry that I was going to buy. I drove from Dubuque Iowa to buy the car. I arrived at my appointment time and these guys sold the car right out from under me. I had to sit and listen to another buyer get my car. I will certainly NEVER shop here ever. To "remedy" the situation they then tried to sell me some junk cars they had out in the lot rotting in lieu of the Camry. What a deal! AVOID AT ALL COST. I asked to be reimbursed for my mileage and wasted time and was told "I'm dreaming" more reviews to come. I'm spreading the word- If you read this and heed my warning I feel I am being repaid for my wasted time and expense. Here's the front lot. Very disappointed with our experience at Cassill Motors. I regret having to leave negative feedback but Communication was terrible--conflicting information, no follow-up, and a refund that was mishandled. I want to say this though Roger Cassill seemed genuinely apologetic, fair, and understanding guy but the team under him failed us in every way possible.It felt like once the sale was done, we were just a box for them to check off and ignore in the end. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing here and we were left with the stress, frustration, and distrust. This should never have happened in the way it happened. I won't name names because they know who they are who failed us, and each did so willingly and that hurts. I am done. I no longer recommends this dealership. read more

so April 2022. I bought a silverado 2017. paid 36 grand for the truck. 60 thousand miles. thought great deal. had to replace the battery right out the gate.250 bucks. then the transmission went out. had a warranty it got covered. started to reconsider and upgraded check in on it. ended up holding on to it. transmission gose out again. they canceled the warrant. now I pay 5 grand plus 1 grand in car rentals. coming up on 100,000 miles. they tell me at my oil change. everything will need flushed, shocks are bad, brakes are bad. plus transmission get to the same point. I go looking to trade up at another dealership. I was informed 3 years later my truck worth 16 grand. it had been in an accident before I owned it. 3 year 20 grand down the tubes. I won't buy from a dealership that not upfront. ask for a carfax or know the history of a car. Cassill sells junk that is over priced. read more

Absolutely infuriating! I had everything set--vehicle picked out, purchase agreement signed and sent to both me and the bank. I had a 9:30 AM appointment today to finalize the deal. But then Cassill calls and tells me they handed my vehicle over to someone else so they could have their mechanic inspect it. And instead of honoring our agreement, they said they'd let me know after 10:30 if that person decided not to buy it. When I called them out on it, all they had to say was, "There's nothing we can do." Nothing?! They blatantly gave away a car I was in the process of buying! And then, as if that wasn't enough, they had the nerve to offer to find me a similar vehicle at auction--but wouldn't even guarantee the same price. Unbelievable. read more

I bought a car there last fall. I am a senior and had to sell my cadillac because I couldn't afford it. I was kind of fragile and salesman was rather pushy. Everytime I mentioned a concern, he would dismiss it. I thought the steering was loose. "It will tighten up after use." It hasn't. Brakes were tight. "You'll get used to it." Good tires. Not true. I know I shouldn't have been swayed but I really dislike it and dislike I felt taken. I would never come back here. read more

I had purchased 2 cars from Cassill in the past but no more! Recently I saw a car they had listed that I was really interested in so I called to see if it was still available and was told that it wouldn't be available for sale until the following Tuesday so when I called back to see if if I could come in and look at it I was told it was already sold!!! They didn't have the decency to call me and tell me it was available to purchase instead sold it out from under me!!! Didn't even call me back to say they were sorry or try to make it up to me! Needless to say I won't be back! In fact I found another dealer that was so much better to deal with!!! read more

My rating reflects a specific facet of my experience today. Stopped in today for an oil change and was disappointed/shocked/mad that not a single employee was wearing a mask. We are 8+ months into this pandemic and just... WTH. My family and extended family have been LONG-time Cassill Motors supporters (I can count 15+ cars purchased over the past years from our family alone) but honestly, this simple act of 'service' could be a game-changer. If 2-year olds at daycares can wear masks this week....because it's the right thing to do, I think customer service employees can be too. So frustrating. read more

This dealership will not give you what your trade in is worth. I purchased a vehicle from them and traded in a vehicle. Two weeks after the transaction, I checked the dealership website and found they were reselling the trade in for $8,495 more than they gave me for it. I was assured during the deal I was getting "top dollar" for my trade in. I know dealerships have to make money to stay in business, but a 200% mark up is a bit much. I'm review number five and if you look close, the positive reviews were over five-six years ago. The bigger they become, the less likely they are to take care of you. First the lifetime engine warranty. You have to have them change your oil. Great, except that they no longer schedule evening appointments. When you live and work out of town, this doesn't give you much of a window of opportunity for getting an appointment. So, even with proof of oil change, you're out of luck. Second, they don't seem to stand behind what they sell. Suddenly that fix that you would imagine falling under your warranty (the purchased one), because after all, the only thing not covered is "consumables". As they explained it, tires, windshield wipers, etc. Yep, who would have thought that wheel bearings would be something that you would be replacing on a regular basis and that they aren't covered. Service department doesn't communicate very well. Told me that they would have to pull of the wheel and look at the bearings to see if it was covered. Told that they would have to do this in order to see if it was covered. Ok, but then when my husband picked it up they told him, well it wasn't covered anyway. If it wasn't covered and you knew it, why did you bother running a test? Long story short. Even though we were looking at purchasing our next vehicle from Cassill Motors, we will take our dollars somewhere else. For all intensive purposes, they might as well be McGrath Motors. read more

I bought my first car 1.5 years ago from Cassill after looking everywhere in the Corridor. It was a very easy process. A year later I totaled my car and Cassill had me out the door by the end of the week with a new one. Again, super easy. I've had a few issues with used cars (because used cars never come perfect) and they have done an amazing job covering it or getting me to a place that it will be the cheapest possible. I took my 2004 Buick Ranier in for service due to repair major problems with the front end. This was my first visit to Cassill after using another company in town that provided very good service, so my expectations were high. My vehicle repair was completed on time. All the work that was completed was explained in detail as we went through the bill. The drop off process is simple and they had the car washed prior to me picking it up. I contemplated buying a new SUV, but decided to get the Buick repaired. Its been driving perfectly, so I'm glad I opted to get the car repaired. Update.....so just took my 2013 taurus for another oil change. (Gotta keep my lifetime engine warranty. So I pay them to do my oil change regularly like a good girl. They made sure to tell me i needed new rear brakes but didnt bother to do the usual fluid check. Couple weeks later, i have no heat. Turns out, thanks to google, i had zero coolant. Seems odd that they wouldnt check the fluids right? Smh. If my engine is damaged it will be covered at least. Nice going Cassill. -older review-- Service dept. scheduled appt for oil change bec I had to leave town today for a long road trip. The oil change is early but if I waited until I got back, I'd be 200 miles over Not such a huge deal unless it voids your lifetime engine warranty. (Which would happen in my case)So I made an actual appointment because I'm on a tight schedule today. Well I've been sitting here for 55 minutesI went to check on when they'd be done. Hadn't even started yet. Please tell me, what's the point of making an appointment if they can't manage their own schedule? Soooo pissed! The only reason they got 3 stars instead of 1 is because the gal in the svc dept actually came an sincerely apologized. And is trying to make it right. Doesn't change anything though.
