I needed 18110 in order to sell and I had no control over that number. Kbb trade in showed 16500-19600 as a trade in range. Which tells me they just wanted to low ball me. What an absolute waste of everyone's time. At least look at the car.

My experience with D.J.'s couldn't have been more professional and pleasant. We bought an older vehicle with very high miles (over 300k.) The price we negotiated was more than fair. They let me drive the vehicle several times. I looked it over top to bottom and went for it. The battery was shot so they replaced that along with all the clamps for free after we negotiated the price. They had me sign the "as-is" document. Mark explained the meaning to me, that there would be no returns and no "Lemon Law" benefits. I had my eyes wide open. I've been driving the beast as a daily driver for going on 5 months now and am exceedingly happy. The vehicle has ended up (so far, knock on wood) with only one pretty significant "wart" that I'm working on fixing (that they couldn't likely have even known existed). I'll be able to fix it (to the tune of about 25% of my purchase price) and still be way ahead of the book value on this vehicle. I am a very satisfied customer and wouldn't have a problem referring friends. It's a used car lot. They sell used cars.

I went to many places including but not limited to Motor Works (They only wanted to sell me cars that would break down). I get when a car sits on a lot things happen from not being used. Things naturally break down, but what I experienced at Mortor works scared me. I wanted more then I was seeing. I wanted something dependable I could trust going distances. As an Ambassador I have to travel a lot off and on giving speeches, setting up programs, working on legislation, and so on. I am sure you get the point. I went to Wheelz a couple times before I purchased. They were so very kind to my daughter, myself, but even guests I had brought. They helped me get into a car that was not only safe for my daughter and I but also stylish at a great rate. It was a car I could feel safe in no matter where I needed to drive. This means tons to me. What a difference, from what I had been dealing with in looking for a car. They made us feel comfortable, and they were straight forward and honest. I really liked that. Even after I purchased the car, the owner and company stood behind their word and sale. I am very impressed. I had only one minor issue come up with the traction system, Wheelz mechanic fixed it right up, no problem, no hassle, just fixed it. Women sometimes do not want to deal with the hassle's with a car breaking down, we just do not know what to do, what a headache. But with Wheelz it was quick and easy. I just told them what was happening and they quickly took care of it. I did not have to call anyone else, waste time figuring out who to take it to, Wheelz took care of it. I would not dream of anyone else working on my car at this point! They do top notch work going above and beyond what any used car dealer does these days!! The owner of the transmission repair shop we took it to said given the condition of the transmission and fluid, it would have given significant indication that it was failing. When we contacted the owner at Wheelz, we were told their vehicles are sold AS IS, and they do not warrant them. It cost us $1700.00 to fix it. We have also discovered several other things wrong with the thing. I gave them a chance to do what's right, and the owner chose to tell me that once you drive it off their lot it's your problem. Just checked out their website and it uses words like RELIABLE, FAIR and HONEST. Not from where I'm sitting.

On the website you can enter a price as an offer. I entered the price of $19,000. This was a little low but I was hoping we could negotiate. A coworker recommended this place to me. I visited the dealership and was late due to the construction (they didn't tell me!). I was given a salesperson who did not know anything about a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited! What's the horsepower? "Um, don't know, I'll have to ask" Is there hill descent control? Is there hill start assist? What is the engine? What are the tires? "Um, I'll have to get back with you about that". The guy was nice and there was no pressure. But really, he couldn't answer any of my questions. I told him about my price offer and that I had done research and thought it was pretty reasonable since the car is not new but used and there are better offers in in the area. He asked me if there were any other cars I was interested in. I said a Subaru Forester. He said he would go look and see if they had any on their other lots. He disappeared for some time and then returned with the manager. The manager told me there was no way I could get a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited anywhere around here for $19k. He said he looked at all of McGrath's lots and there was just no way. He showed me some computer paper which had a price of $25k which he said was the price they bought the car. Are you kidding me! What a bunch of malarkey! He said he would go down $500 but no more. Well, I thanked him for his time and walked out the store. I never did get the info on the Subaru or any of my Wrangler questions answered. It's probably for the best since I doubt the salesperson I was with knew anything about a Subaru either. They should have just told me they couldn't meet my price instead of wasting my time. The whole time I was waiting for the salesperson to find out about the Subaru, they were in the researching if there were any Jeep Unlimiteds for $19k? Really?! Why didn't they just come out and tell me straight up they couldn't meet my price but they could help me find another car? Instead they made me look like I was a liar! I guess it's okay for the salesperson to lie but if a customer is lying, then the management will spend 30 minutes doing research to find out if the customer is lying. Iowa is not a good place to buy a Jeep since they are overpriced here due to their popularity. Chicago is the best place to go to find a fair price. It's not as popular since most urbanites want a fuel efficient car. This experience left me really bad impressions of McGraths and Jeep. Only go here if you want a car that is overpriced and you are not willing (too lazy) to go to Chicago for a fair price.

Recently, I took my Subaru Forester into a chain service garage for an oil change and was informed, by the mechanic, that my left front wheel bearing needed repair! That seemed unlikely as Craig, at Road Runner, replaced them about a year ago. Turns out that someone (at the other garage) had loosened a part a smidge which, had I not checked with Craig, could have cost me about $700!! Instead, Craig tightened things up, checked my vehicle thoroughly and sent me on my way free of charge. The guys here were really relaxed, answered my questions and avoided anything that felt "used car salesman-y". Prices were the best I found in a wide radius and they were very willing to haggle a bit on price. The physical building wasn't much to look at, but in the end, I'm much more interested in a good deal than in paying for someone else's expensive overhead. The car came with a 30 day, 1000 mile warranty from the dealership as well - it was nice that they actually stick behind the cars they sell. In the end, the experience was good enough that I will be looking here again the next time I'm looking for a new (to me) vehicle.
