spent 10+k on a work vehicle from here 3 months later my transmission is blown. Not too happy

I previously posted a great review on Yelp after purchasing a Nissan altima. It was a great experience it was fast Brad the salesperson was very informative. The issue is I was told that the brakes including the pads and rotors front and back were brand new. Within a matter of days there were many squeaks and grindings. I had to take time out of work to take the vehicle back into Houdek for the brakes to figure out what the problem was. They did not see a problem whatsoever. I drove off and the noise continued the grinding noise continued. I purchased this vehicle in October I believe. This week I had to take the vehicle into a mechanic to have the front brake pads replaced I could not afford to replace the rotors because they were warped. So I unfortunately had to pass on replacing the bad rotors on the front. The rear brake pads, rotors, calipers, and brake lines had to be replaced. The total cost to fix the brake on this Nissan Altima that I was clearly told we're brand new cost me a little over 1,100! I was sold a vehicle with bad brakes. That is a big safety issue. I would never recommend Houdek to anyone. They give misinformation and sell unsafe vehicles. read more

They are absolutely terrible. Don't buy from them. I had issues almost immediately. Like they turned off the check engine light temporarily so i could drive off the lot and it came back on 2 days after I bought the car. They acted like they'd try to help me since it was immediate and they did nothing. Rob is the specific person who sold me my car. I hate this business more than i ever hated anything in life because I know i was a new car owner/ buyer and it was my first car and i also know they took advantage of that to sell me probably the worst thing they had. They just sold my daughter a 2014 santa fe 2 months ago, she was planning to travel to a job she was offered after graduating college, they knew this car had multiple problems prior to selling her the vehicle. When my mom's car was totaled in a car accident I ended up at Zimmerman-Houdek getting her a new one (new to her). The salesmen were very professional, helpful, and friendly. I have to admit I am not the type to negotiate with car salesmen. If you tell me the car costs $10k I will pay you $10k. I'm pathetic like that. Since the insurance company for the at fault party in the accident was actually paying for the vehicle the claims adjuster called Zimmerman Houdek and talked them down a few hundred dollars since we'd be paying cash. The gentleman we worked with told my mom to stop by if she has any issues with the vehicle and when her new plates come in she can come in and they'll put them on the car for her. This might not seem like a big deal but for someone in my moms position it means a lot. If I ever need a used car again I would definitely start my search at Zimmerman Houdek. read more

These people were rude and laughed at our question and didn't even look at our vehicle or test drive it. I don't know how they have stayed in business but we ended up selling our truck for 26,000 exactly what we wanted and getting a new Denali for 7,000 less than them and 30,000 less miles. After we purchased a car from this place it started having all sorts of problems but they wouldn't fix it saying that it wasn't part of the warranty and it wasn't there problem. He wasn't willing to lower the price on a 6 year old car, he sold us a broken car, and made us have to spend even more money for a broken car he sold us. The problems included all kinds oil leaks,broken seat levers, and we later found out the Hubs were all rotted out and where disguised to look like they weren't. read more

I have a review for both sales and service. Bought a 2001 Subaru with under 100K miles at a really good price. There wasn't any pressure during the sale or during the loan process. The check engine light came and it started misfiring while in their warranty period (the warranty on the vehicle we bought was 50% parts and labor for the first 30 days). I took it in and asked if they would be able to look at it, and they gave me another car to use while they looked at it (which they were under no obligation to do). It turned out to just be a bad spark plug and a bad knock sensor. They fixed it up for me and had it back to me the same day and didn't charge me for it (I was expecting to at least pay my 50% for parts and labor). It's running great now. They went above and beyond and took great care of us. (Thanks Kelly!) I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. read more

This place was amazing! Not sure how those other bad reviews are even on here?! We went to Houdek looking for a new car for my wife as her car had just took a crap on us unfortunately. As we were looking at a car we liked Corey Houdek came out to talk with us and was very professional and very nice! We took the car for a test drive and it was a great car, a 2016 Chevy Cruze Limited. We noticed during the test drive that the heated seats weren't working. When we got back we told Corey and he said they would take a look at it first thing tomorrow and see what the issue might be. They ended up having to replace a module in it, they had to order the part but we needed a car right away so they got us financed with an amazing interest rate and let us take the car home. Within a week they will have us come back and replace the module for free for us even! The price on the car was even better! With only 88k miles it was a pretty good deal!! Corey even knocked off a couple hundred dollars for us to help us out! Overall this was an amazing experience and my wife and I would definitely recommend anyone else here!! read more

We are very disappointed in the service we got from them. They sold us a vehicle that the brake lines are leaking and could have resulted in a major accident. Also center roof console was removed from the time we test drove it and then we bought it. read more

Stay far, far away from this dealer. Our experience started last Spring when we purchased a vehicle from them only to find out a week later that it needed a whole new engine. The engine light "somehow" had been disabled and the only way we found out was it was leaking oil. We took it to our mechanic who discovered the engine light had been disabled and that it needed a whole new engine which was more to fix then we paid for it. Houdek was unwilling to get us out of our contract and said it was not their responsibility to know any of this!! I have never in my life met such unprofessional people. We couldn't afford a lawyer to get out of the contract so we swapped out for another vehicle from them, they were also very stingy to negotiate the price on the other vehicle. They felt no obligation for what had happened. Now this vehicle needs a new fuel tank!!! NEVER NEVER purchase from them!!!!! read more

i recommend everyone stay far away from this car lot .they have caused me and my family emotional distress .they put my family thru alot since the day we bought it .called the car lot the following day and told them all the issues we had .fully loaded to me means everything works i didnt know fully loaded car meant nothing works .they did false advertisment .they lied to my face just to get a sale .its very hurtful and upsetting that i trusted this place and they let me down .they have put me thru alot and the only reason i told them i was looking for a bigger vehicle was for my disabled child who suffers from cerebral palsy who cant walk and has a wheelchair and other medical equipment ,i would not wish this nightmare on anyone and now i have to figure where else i can take it and pay more money to get it checked somewhere else to get this issues fix .if i knew it had lots of issues i would not have purchased this vehicle .shame on you .i would stay far away from this dealership if u want good honest service . read more
