I've eaten a lot of Thai food in Arizona and One Pot Fusion is doing something different. Instead…read moreof the standard pad thai and curry menu, they specialize in Thai street food and hot pot, which you don't see often around here. We got the personal size Tom Yum hot pot and the broth alone was worth it, full of squid, shrimp, and mussels. From the street food side, the Khao Mookrob (crispy pork with Chinese sausage) was the standout, crispy on the outside and juicy inside without being dry at all. We also had the Yum Won Sen, a vermicelli salad with seafood, refreshing and delicious, and the Khaomangai, their take on Hainanese chicken, which comes with a Thai sauce that's nothing like the usual version. Drinks and dessert were solid too, the Thai tea slush was not too sweet and the mango sticky rice is a must order. This place is in the Asian district in Mesa, so it's an easy stop if you're already out that way for grocery shopping. Everything was delicious and we're already planning to go back. If you want real Thai street food instead of the usual Americanized menu, this is worth the visit.

I wanted to try out a new spot for hotpot and thought to give One Pot fusion a try…read more The restaurant is very small and the menu had more than just hotpot. It had Thai dishes like beef larb, papaya salad and silver glass noddle salad. I only had room for hotpot. I ordered the Tom Yum soup with beef, soft tofu, napa cabbage, enoki mushroom and vermicelli noodles. Ordering the items to be in your hotpot is all a la cart and it's not how some other hotpot places soups have set items and if you want more items you can add on. In my opinion I would rather like the soup to have the items and you can choose additional items. You don't know how much is in each item, so you're thinking you're ordering enough but as you can easily under order like I did. The soup was ok missing a little flavor as it was a little bland but the sauce made it slightly better. I know eating soup in 100+ weather in Arizona isn't ideal but I love eating soup during the hottest weather. This specific time was uncomfortable to eat soup in hot weather because the restaurant did not have their AC working and there was one portable fan that didn't do much. Sweating while eating soup isn't the most enjoyable feeling. I can see the potential in this restaurant, I might come back and give their Thai food a try.

Any waiter that hears the bell comes to your table to assist. The response never took longer than 20 seconds most of the time. To start the appetizer tray at the beginning is an awesome touch that I'm not used to in other places I have tried. It kind of took the guess work out of ordering in my opinion so I only had to focus on what meat or dish I wanted since my sides were already selected and refillable for free through the course of the meal. We ordered the seafood sundubu, beef bulgogi, and sweat and spicy korean fried chicken wings. The portion size was very generous on the wings and on the crispier side which my wife prefers. The seafood sundubu was delicious and was pleasantly surprised to see a decent amount of tofu and seafood types in the dish. The beef bulgogi was also tasty and as I said before just scratched that korean food craving that we had. This has been added to our rotation of date night locations for us! Oh also the bathrooms are very clean.

I ordered the kalbi and cold noodles for $26.00, and both were absolutely delicious. I had gone a few days without meat, so it was especially satisfying. I also enjoyed the banchan, and I finished everything except the fish cakes, which are just not my favorite. Overall, I really appreciated the meal and the experience. I'll definitely be back soon to try the kimchi stew.
