My friend and I got their Mimosa flight special, Pina Colada, Strawberry pancakes, surf and turf, and Madres Chilaquiles and all were a 10/10! They even had music playing in the background and it was a vibe! The interior was very pink and they had beautiful murals all throughout the restaurant. Just a couple of weeks ago, my friends and I were considering our options for where to have brunch to celebrate one of our friend's retirement. Toast was one of the names I dropped in the metaphorical hat, and it won the vote of a few. My friends were surprised that I had named a spot I hadn't yet tried since I'm usually the "foodie" of the group. However, another girl in the group who had been here before vouched for it. I'm glad I finally got to try this place this past weekend, and I cannot wait to return! There were so many things on their menu that I wanted to try. A couple of the ladies ordered green chilaquiles, the friend we were celebrating ordered the Spanish Omelet, another woman I'd met that day had the bacon and eggs, another one ordered the Biscuits and grave with a side of bacon that looked perfectly crispy. I wish I had taken pictures of the plates as it all looked so lovely! I didn't even take a picture of my own food haha. I had my eyes on an omelet, one of the Benedicts or the Chicken n Waffle. In the end, the chicken and waffle won. It comes served with a little container of maple syrup with bacon pieces. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The waffle was delicious, though I did request for some extra syrup on the side. To drink, a few ladies ordered mimosas, one ordered an iced caramel coffee, and I ordered the Carajillo. I fell in love with this drink last summer in Mexico and do not often see it on the menu. I love the subtle citrus notes the Licor 43 adds to this espresso drink. It is very similar to an espresso martini, and theirs comes topped with a toasted marshmallow. I honestly wanted to try almost every item in their Tipsy Barista section of their drinks. I'll just have to come back that many more times :) Plenty of parking in the mall lot. It does get pretty packed during peak hours. Fortunately I had called ahead to put our group of 6 down. We went in on Saturday around 11:30. It slowed down a bit while we were eating, but started to get busy again after 1. Otherwise, we might have been forced to honor their 90-minute rule. All in all, a great experience from everyone in our group. No complaints on the wait, service or food. That certainly deserves a toast. Great job, Toast!

The other dishes pictured here are items my family members ordered just to show the food aesthetics. Overall, I like it it's a great place to meet with a group of friends or family.

The salsa had the right amount of flavor in it paired with some potatoes and beans. I also felt it was a very big portion of food, especially for what we paid. I would say I definitely want to come back to try some of the other items on the menu here. The menu was massive with so many different things to try and it all looked really good. Everyone right down to the owner and the Bussers were super friendly and said goodbye to us as we left. It was a very heartwarming experience and that type of hospitality goes a really long way!

First of all, how does this place only have a B?! The health inspector must've been in a bad mood or had a personal vendetta against this establishment. We got the breakfast burritos, he had a coffee and I had a latte -- all was great quality and FLAVOR. In my personal opinion, I fully believe they need to be regraded by a new inspector! We got the blessing of meeting the kind business owner, Aya! Aya was a very sweet Filipino/Mexican woman (I bring up race due to the terrible posts about this establishment being racist! My friend and I ordered the camarones tatemados, tried them, and simply didn't care for the dish, so we asked our server to send it back. She quickly walked away. A manager, Alvaro, came over and stood silently behind me while I was mid conversation until my friends pointed out that he was there. When I turned around, I greeted him, and he asked what was wrong with the shrimp and why we didn't like it. I explained that we just didn't care for it and didn't want it. He then asked whether I had ever had the dish. When I asked what he meant, he clarified that he wanted to know whether I had ordered it at another restaurant before, essentially questioning whether I knew what it was supposed to taste like. As a Black woman in a Latin restaurant, the tone and implication of that interaction made me extremely uncomfortable. I've sent food back before and have even been asked whether I've tried a dish before, but never in a way that felt as condescending as this interaction did. I told him that I had eaten it before and briefly explained what I didn't like. He reached over me, took the plate without a word, and walked away. What bothered me just as much was what happened afterward: no one spoke to me again for the rest of our visit. Alvaro never came back. Our server never checked on me again. No one asked if I wanted to order something else, apologized that I didn't enjoy the dish, or even acknowledged me after my plate was taken. Not liking a dish happens. Maybe it was prepared exactly as intended and simply wasn't for me. My issue is how I was treated for saying so. A simple "I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it, can I get you something else?" would have made this an entirely different experience. Also, our group was told we couldn't order drinks at the bar or pay for them separately at the table, which made something as simple as ordering a drink unnecessarily difficult.
