We go here for breakfast every weekend and they are just super friendly, they always remember our order and have our drinks on the table as soon as we sit down. The food is always delicious and the biscuits are huge! read more

The service on food is very quick. I wasn't a fond of the salad, it looked old and poorly made. The country fried chicken was very good, next time I would less on the gravy because it tasted sweet to me. The dinner portion was good with the three sides. Lastly their orange sprite freeze was very good and refreshing, it lasted very cold in their silver cup. I had to take the rest home. The only outcome was the server hardly check on me because they had a full house, but the food made up for it. Seems like a very busy place. read more

This place cannot be beat for service, knowing what you usually order, and quick service. They really care about their business and their customers. We order breakfast burritos and they're enough for several meals. We usually do takeout. But if we walk in they know exactly what we usually order and greet us with a smile. They are extremely quick with service. read more

This place was on my wife and I's weekend breakfast rotation. We went in for breakfast a few weeks ago and I found what I thought was either an onion or a piece of fingernail. I sent the food back. The cook ,who is now buying the business, came out with a new plate of food. She proceeded to loom over me blocking me from exiting the booth. I quote" I cook a lot of onions on that grill and one got in your food. Next time expect it". I will never set foot in there again and do not recommend it to anyone due to the rudeness of the owner. We sure miss the previous one and are sorry to lose a good diner that was one of the few left in town. read more

We've been going to Maridon's Café for over 22 years. It is often a breakfast or lunch go to for our family. My wife traditionally takes each of our children out for a birthday breakfast to Maridon's and has done this ever since we moved to Forest Grove 22 years ago. We've known Janet Who runs a clean business, has clean restrooms, and a devoted clientele. Prices are good, quality of food is good, and quantity of food is also very good. Their service is friendly and efficient. I think their pancakes are very excellent and remind me of Cafe's from when I was a child. Can't beat a burger fries and chocolate shake though. read more

Outstanding breakfast two mornings in a row. Friendly service and reasonably priced too.

Visiting family in Forest Grove, we've eaten all over the area and stumbled on Maridon's Cafe. We asked her to make a special BLT with egg over medium for breakfast. She didn't blink, and moments later, produced this breakfast masterpiece! It came with a side of homemade Beef Vegetable soup- and honestly, served on china plates, I feel like I'm at home in Mom's kitchen. The ladies who run this wonderful diner couldn't be nicer, and welcome everyone with a big smile and great service. Highly recommend a trip to Maridon's! read more

Maridon's Cafe - BLT on sourdough with an Egg Over Medium - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Forest Grove, Oregon

Use to be the best place. After the new owner, it's a real shit show. I have been in and ordered a taco salad. With tickets up, the cook needed a cigarette break. Upon returning to his job he decided that he had already prepare the orders and dumped the tickets. After about 20 minutes he got around to starting my food. Today I ordered a BLT. It was so burnt that the bacon desentegrated when I picked up the sandwich. I slid it down 2 seat from me on an empty bar. The waitress proceeded to tell the owner I through the plate. If I wasn't worried about an assault charge, I would have shown her what throwing a plate looks like. I have also been verbally assaulted by a customer because I wouldn't let him pray for me. WTF! I won't be going back. read more

First time coming here, let me first say pancakes are great and they are huge! Waffles not so much, an eggo waffle from my toaster would have been better. I got the veggie omelette, it had jalapenos, mushrooms, bell peppers and cheese. It was ok, but was missing some salt and pepper, and the cheese could have been more melted! Came with hash browns and those were tasty. I probably will be back here and try something else! The staff was nice and it did not take long to get our food and the place was pretty busy. read more

Really, I never knew this place existed until my friend brought me in once. It resides directly across from Safeway, in the same plaza, and next to Jade Green. It's difficult to notice since the sign outside is extremely worn and blends into the general dinginess of the facade. Perhaps this merely speaks to the longevity of the business and not the lack of attention to upkeep? I got the chicken fried steak, per usual. (That's pretty much my meter stick for any breakfast joint). I don't remember much about it, so it must have been serviceable but not amazing. The biscuit, however, I do remember. It looked magnificently large and buttery and full of promise. I was excited to try some homemade biscuit! But it fell far short of my expectations. Rather, it was cold, dry, and crumbly and made me sad. I don't like being sad at breakfast. read more

Tasty breakfast, reasonable prices, courteous staff... what's not to love? Both the chicken fried steak w/ home fries and the Denver omelette w/ hashbrowns we ordered were excellent-- and each also came with a huge home made biscuit! The coffee was pretty good, too, and the family that runs this cafe were all very friendly and attentive. Great little cafe! read more

New owners- not good! Food came out fast and cold. Order over med eggs, came out hard. Bacon was pre cooked and cold as well as the sausage. Hashbrowns cold. Order sausage gravy never got it. Probably a good thing. Feel bad for the original family who worked so hard for many years to grow a great restaurant. Unfortunately we will not be back. read more

I've been going to this restaurant off and on for years. I've never been disappointed. The food is good, there is plenty of it, and it's not overly spendy. Staff is freindly and efficient. Food is homemade, coffee is good, atmosphere is the typical small town everyone-knows-everyone. Food is served quickly and is hot and fresh. Highly recommended. A hidden jewel. read more

A really enjoyable experience at a home-style restaurant. I would definitely return for the tasty food and their perfect hospitality. Staff was amazing and it was obvious that they enjoyed working there and their focus was on giving a good experience to the customer. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place. The food is delicious and super affordable. The entire staff is SO sweet and personable. They are on a first name basis with several patrons which is so rare and special these days. It's family run which I also appreciate. I will continue to give these sweet people my business and eat their delicious food forever! read more

Delicious, fresh squeezed OJ!!! Best breakfast in town. Possibly in the country (I travel for work, and am tired of sunny D from a machine being passed off as orange juice) Family owned and the atmosphere reflects this fact. Stayed open and kept rockin' take out during the height of COVID shutdowns. Delicious food and large portions. Two thumbs up from a trucker who knows a good diner!!!!!!!! read more

Love this place! Have never had a problem, wait is never too long, if we need to wait, and the family that owns it are the ones who are serving you and they're always in a good mood. And their biscuits and gravy is the best! read more

Family owned. Very friendly staff & service. Always the freshest food, very good breakfast, have been here before, will return again.

What a wonderful little gem tucked away in Forest Grove. Only open for breakfast and lunch they offer a wide variety of meals. The menu is all day long. The staff is friendly, courteous and genuinely appreciative. I am from the mid-west and am very familiar with diners and this was certainly a great diner. The coffee was hot and the plates generous. I had the farm scramble and my wife had the chicken fried steak breakfast. The biscuit is homemade and tastes delicious and paired with the homemade gravy both are worth the visit. The waitress asked how well done I wanted my bacon. That hasn't happened in a long time. To wrap up, we will return and whole heartedly recommend to anyone looking for a home cooked meal at a reasonable price. read more

As far as I can tell, this is pretty much the only place to get breakfast on Sundays in Forest Grove - one local explained to me, "Forest Grove sort of rolls up the carpet on the weekends." For this they probably deserve another star--after a few desparate incidents of staring into darkened windows at a deli and at Maggie's Buns. Heaping stacks of food for average prices (FOUR bacon slices with most of the breakfast choices!), very friendly staff--seems to be family run, and a wide variety of breakfast and lunch choices. Large post-church clientele of bluehairs too. It felt very much like the Platoni ideal of an American diner, down to the comfy, overstuffed bar stools along the counter. read more

We love Janet and her family, they make a point to remember your name and order, even after just one visit! Limited seating, so avoid typical breakfast hours on weekends, unless you don't mind waiting (we don't!) Very family friendly Primarily basic diner food, so please don't bash them for not carrying hipster fancy dishes! Good, solid comfort food in a welcoming atmosphere. read more

If you are a foodie, this restaurant is not for you. It has traditional American breakfast. Eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns and coffee. The biscuit looks like a large piece of tan colored cornbread. It comes with packets of fruit jam and whipped yellow stuff (not butter). It lacks flavor. Bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly as ordered. read more

This place is easy to miss in Forest Grove but it's my favorite place for breakfast. The service could not be better!!! The family that run it are friendly and kind. I just order ham an eggs and coffee nothing fancy but it's always fresh and good! Thank you maridons for adding so much to our community read more

It's ok. The food is just ok. My salad was cheaply made and looked it. My lettuce was literally that bag mix of iceberg lettuce and was half brown. The tomatoes were old and slimy. Only reason they got 2 stars is because they are super nice! The owner is always very sweet! But food is just ok... read more

I love this cozy little restaurant. The environment is simple and familiar. Not bad, not great. Had biscuits and gravy, which was a bit on the bland side. I like actual sausage in my gravy.
