Dino and his crews were great! Our backyard was transformed in 90 days. Every contractor crew that came out was friendly and efficient. Communication was good, we added on to our initial plan quite a bit and Dino got every added request done. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. We had a very good experience with Maricopa Pools and Landscape. The Pool build was exactly what we were wanting and expecting. The build timeline was exactly what was told to us. We wanted a custom design with a sunken kitchen/BBQ area for a swim up bar and they made it all come together. Dino was always available and helpful for all our questions throughout the build. The only hiccup we had throughout the build was inspections with the city because of the special design with the sunken kitchen/bbq area, but Dino got it all figured out with them. Dino and his crew did a fantastic job. They had to take down the gate and part of the wall. When done it was replaced. The pool and landscaping where complete in a relatively short time. He took calls/texts with lots of questions and last minute concerns. Trust his experience ... Do plan to have your landscaping reset when construction done. Pros: Attentive and follow up on concerns, Provided knowledge and guidance on different parts of the jobs. Find a sample of the rocks in your landscaping. My builder gave me the wrong version.. oh well Very efficient in getting things done. Followup to make sure that things are corrected if needed. Cons: Make sure to get your cables buried... my cable was only 6" down... reburied after repair in a steal pipe.. Also plan on loosing your watering system if it cross under were the equipment has to go through. Manual watering can help the plants last. read more

However, we received an excellent recommendation for a local business named Maricopa Pools. The pool construction was timely, quoted cost did not change, received good advice on source of financing, have a great pool and landscaping, in addition to concrete pad for trash and recycle cans. One of their best attributes is willingness to communicate in a timely fashion. This is a major project and major expense. We can't express how happy we are over the outcome. Dino was recommended to us by some friends who just had their pool done by Maricopa Pools. We had met with and received a few quotes from other pool builders and Dino's was in the middle as far as expense. His company was ready to start and the others were months away or didn't return calls. His assistant Ryan was very personable and helpful with the design and with communicating building phases as they happened. We opted for a heated salt water pool and electric spa - which in hindsight we should has opted for propane because the spa does not heat up enough in the fall months. It didn't get above 94 degrees. This was rather disappointing as my husband was looking forward to a hot soak after a long day at work - he will have to wait until the spring for that. We should have looked into that more. Our pool was completed in October so we have not swam in it yet. We will test it out again after it warms up and also test the heat to the pool in March- April. As far as pool decking we decided to go with a concrete coating that flowed with our back patio. We love the look and were happy that Dino was wiling to let us go that route. This team also completed side driveway concrete work and a sitting area with artificial grass and pavers- excellent work. We had an exceptional experience having our saltwater pool and attached spa designed and constructed by Dino -owner of Maricopa Pools and Landscape Design. In our preliminary research, we visited a number of larger pool builders with showrooms and pool "parks," to get a sense of what was available in our price range. We knew we wanted an inground pool at least 5 1/2 feet deep on the deepest end with an attached spa. We knew we wanted salt water and cool decking with a modern clean design. We were quoted prices ranging from $78,000-$100,000 and informed that the process could take from 6 to 18 months because of a "shot Crete shortage" in Arizona. (There was much conspiracy talk about shot Crete from the show room guys, I later came to realize this was how they could avoid entering into agreements about construction timeframes). Our budget was $60,000, all-in. We started looking closer to home and found excellent reviews about Maricopa Pools and the owner, Dino. Rather than a hard sell and unsubtle negging of our priorities and limits (ahem Presidential) Dino came to us, learned our expectations and budget, found a way to meet each of our requirements, connected us with a highly responsive (similarly no BS ) financing person, and established a three month timeframe from contract signing to completion. We signed on October 3 2022 and it was done before Christmas. It is absolutely beautiful. Dino was responsive and in constant contact with us as well as with the subcontractors at all times during the process. On-time, beautiful quality and functionality, and within budget. Requested an inspection on a pool in a house that I am planning on purchasing. Pool guy went to do an inspection. I requested an invoice on the costs of repairs needed after inspection was done, I was told " he is not onbligated to provide me an invoice" and that by texting me and emailing me what his thoughts on what repairs are needed is acceptable without any itemized lists of what each repair costs? I was told by me asking of this that I may not be someone he cares to do business with anyways becuase of my requests. i cannot speak to the quality of their pools, but how their time lines and how they treat the houses and neighboring homes is ridiculous. Our neighbors have been in process of having their pool built since the fall of 2021 and it's still NOT done. Their workers broke our property line brick border without any regard and have not fixed and they have left a kiddie pool out front full of scraps and concrete for months. it looks so trashy. i called the company but of course no one answered and their mail box is full.
