Victoria and Ricardo came to measure our backyard and later provided us with a detailed quote. Victory construction even created a rendering of our backyard. They were incredibly patient with us as we occasionally changed our minds and revised the quotes accordingly. A portion of the backyard has already been completed, including a pergola constructed from pavers, a paver pad for a potential outdoor sauna, a paver walkway, grass, an irrigation system, a couple dozen + of hopseseed plants, and some other plants. As we got closer to the completion date (January 2025), we began our search for landscaping professionals. MDG was recommended to us from an architect we've been following on Instagram for several years. Between that recommendation, MDG's own Instagram portfolio, and their online reviews, we thought this might be a fit. We initially worked with Andrew, who was super accommodating - first working with us over email and Zoom, then meeting us at the homesite in person when we flew out here for progress checks. He was great working with two people who have never had any outdoor space (former apartment/condo/townhouse people) and were mostly clueless about what we wanted other than some Pinterest inspo photos. And he was also just so perfect for us specifically - he is a former east coaster himself and a dog-person - so he knew to explain things we wouldn't know (e.g. window reflections can melt turf in this Arizona heat) and how to prioritize our dogs' needs (e.g. our pool has a ledge so if a pup falls in, they're not far from safety). There was never any pressure - to go a certain direction, to exceed our budget, or to hurry up with decisions. Andrew was always prepared to talk in detail about options, tradeoffs, and pros/cons - and to let us see how those different things would look using his design software. We eventually landed on a design that we loved, that met our HOA requirements, and that met state and local requirements - all of which MDG took care of (e.g. HOA application info, county permits, etc.). Eddie and the teams on our property to complete the work were great. Everyone was kind, everything was kept as tidy as possible throughout the work; someone even came over on their day off because of a big rain storm - just to make sure everything was put away. Our project wrapped on time, on budget, and on expectations. We had a super informative final walkthrough - letting us know how to work everything, when to maintenance things, etc. And then we've heard from the team a few times since - just checking in on us. Our backyard is our sacred space - we LOVE it. All our guests love it. We've caught neighbors taking photos as inspo for their own yards. It's very simple because it prioritizes our view and our pups, but we've seen much more elaborate work MDG has done - so whatever your project, we would highly recommend MDG!

It was a smooth process working with Andrew, Eddie, and the entire Meise crew. Andrew was very attentive to our questions and concerns. He got us involved in all of the decision making by asking us questions and laying out all options over and over again, so we could come to a solution that was suitable for us. Andrew was always available for us throughout our project. At times I would text him as early as 6:00AM and he would respond right away. Their quality of work is undeniable. They pay attention to every detail, as you can see in the attached photos. I felt there pricing was fair. We had a few cost overruns but this was because we wanted a few upgrades- Not because he changed cost midway thru the project. Not only was he…read moreextremely professional and detail oriented but he came in surprisingly competitive in pricing compared to other quotes we had for companies that did not have anywhere near the experience or professionalism he had. So we decided to move forward with him. Not only did the job turn out perfect but he actually ended up getting everything done sooner than planned and he went above and beyond to make the job look as good as possible including throwing in a couple nice touches at the end that we didn't expect just to make sure it looked the best it could. Fast forward to late August.... This is where I'm very grateful we chose Mirage Landscaping. This year was brutal with the heat and unfortunately our beautiful new plants took a beating. I contacted Tony and he was out very quickly to look at our yard and evaluate everything. Without hesitation, he replaced nearly 1/2 of our plants (which was a lot) with no questions asked and didn't try to nickel and dime us or put the blame on us. What a relief! His warranty is as good as his word and his product! After he saw the yard, he had someone out in 2 days and everything is now replaced and beautiful again. I cannot stress how important that warranty was and him honoring his warranty. I've had other landscaping companies in the past that don't honor their warranty and it's very costly to have to come out of pocket to fix and repair their work. He probably saved me well over $1k-$2k by honoring his warranty and replacing my plants instead of blame shifting like most companies would and have done to me in the past.
