From the first consultation to the final finish, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly detail-oriented. Our pool deck was worn, cracked, and faded from years of Arizona sun, and they completely transformed it. The resurfacing looks brand new, the texture is perfect underfoot, and the color came out even better than we envisioned. They took the time to explain the process, provide options, and make sure every detail was done right. What really stood out was their reliability and craftsmanship. They showed up on time, kept the work area clean, and stayed on schedule -- which is rare with outdoor projects. The crew was respectful, efficient, and clearly takes pride in their work. Living in Arizona, having a quality cool deck surface is essential, and AZ Deck Pool & Patio absolutely delivered. Our pool area now looks high-end, stays cooler, and has completely elevated the look of our backyard. If you're considering cool deck repair, resurfacing, or a full refresh, I highly recommend AZ Deck Pool & Patio. Excellent service, beautiful results, and a company you can trust.

Choose a less expensive, more established company. We specifically selected AZ DECK because they…read moreheavily promote their "engineered" process and the fact that the owner is a chemical engineer. We paid a premium believing their system was superior and would properly bond to our pool deck concrete. Unfortunately, this has been the worst decking product we've experienced. Over the many years we have lived at this property, we have had a pool deck resurfaced 3 times. AZ DECK was the least durable, for a product they sold as the best. The decking is pealing and cracking where it has never done it before !! The surface cracked and peeled again, leaving us with the same failures we were trying to avoid by choosing a higher-priced company. Despite the claims of a specialized chemical bonding process, my wife and I never observed any visible concrete treatment or preparation beyond what appears typical for standard resurfacing. Whatever process was represented clearly did not result in better durability. The premium price did not translate into premium performance. I strongly recommend homeowners look elsewhere. I contacted the sales rep and the company. Crickets. checked the BBB. "This business is NOT BBB Accredited"

I contacted Michael, the owner, who came out to inspect the damage. He told me he would repair it, but also said it was no longer under warranty and claimed the underlying concrete was the reason the cool deck was cracking. This was frustrating because they knew the condition and type of concrete before they completed the installation. About six months after the repair, the same area began cracking again, and this time the damage was even more noticeable. I reached out to Michael again, and it took about two weeks to get a response. When he finally came out to inspect it, he told me his crew would not return because the work was no longer under warranty, the repair was "too small," and the concrete--not their workmanship--was the problem. He also said his crew would rather redo the entire area than repair the damaged section because the colors might not match, and suggested I hire another company to fix it. When I explained that I believed they should stand behind their work, Michael became argumentative. He told me he didn't have to repair it because it was outside the warranty and that his company doesn't do touch-up work. The conversation escalated to the point where he began yelling, using profanity, and eventually hung up on me. This experience has been extremely disappointing. I invested a significant amount of money expecting a quality product and professional customer service. Instead, my deck began failing within a year, I received little support when problems arose, and I was ultimately told to hire someone else to fix their work. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Altra Home Improvements. If you are considering hiring this company, I encourage you to ask detailed questions about their warranty, what happens if the product fails after installation, and how they handle customer concerns. I regret that I now have to pay another company to repair or replace work that should have lasted much longer.

We just had a pool put in our yard, and while it is beautiful, our RV Pad and patio have seen better days. The house was built in the 50' so you can imagine what shape the patio concrete was in. The father and son team were on site each day and explained what the steps were. They fixed the cracks one built up a couple of sagging areas, and matched the pool deck so it is now an extension of the pool area. The did the same with the patio and front walk way, but with a smooth texture to make a distinction between the patio area and pool area. Included is a before picture of the RV Pad and an after.
