We found The Hardworkers through Yelp projects. We were looking to extend our driveway a bit, as well as raise the height of our block wall. I got lots of quotes and had 5 6 or so companies come out to provide estimates for the scope of work. Jason, owner of The Hardworkers, was the last estimate I got,. We initially had concrete in mind, but Jason let us know he got of out concrete and primarily does pavers, as they look better and are stronger. We honestly just assumed pavers would be out of our price range, but opted to get a quote to remove a few sections of our walkway to add the driveway, raise the wall and then a quote to pave around our shed. Though the quote may not have been the cheapest, we also added a project and the over value and product could not be beat. I also truly believe you get what you pay for and Jason and his team do awesome work. Their prices are extremely reasonable for the quality, attention to details and efficiency his team provides. Not to mention were well in range of some of the basic concrete other companies were going to provide, It took about four days from start to finish. We will definitely be calling his them again for any future projects and highly recommend for any projects you are looking to get done! read more

We hired The Hardworkers to design and build our backyard after an extensive review of multiple highly-rated landscape companies. While Jason was not the cheapest bid, his prices were quite reasonable and he provided us with a model of what he planned to do in advance, which really helped us make sure we both had the same design in-mind. You may think you've explained something to someone in a way that leaves out no detail, but having Jason's visual design for us to work off of gave us peace of mind we didn't get from any other offer. The work he did was very clean, and he was detail-oriented across all of the steps of the fairly massive project. We had a retaining wall, border, stone planters, irrigation, gravel, and a custom-made stone bench installed, and he engaged us at regular intervals to make sure things were the way we wanted and on-track. Occasionally we would have small changes, and he worked with us every time to fit them in with no issues. One moment that really stood out to me was early on in the project. We had requested the planters be made out of a semi-porous construction, and Jason brought to our attention that, after a couple of years, these would probably start looking rather dingy. He recommended an alternative design that was much cleaner and more what we were looking for- even if we didn't know it initially. Despite the added complication for him to adjust to this new planter design, he still worked with us to get it in and looking good, when he could have just as easily not said anything and left us with the design we wouldn't have liked in the long-run. THAT is someone who is invested in the customer experience of the work they're doing, and we really appreciated. Overall, we were quite happy with how our yard turned out, though it did end up taking a few weeks longer to finish than we were originally quoted. Part of this may have been due to some of our own mid-process tweaks (like the planters), and at no point did it feel like the team was slacking. Jason does much of the work himself, and clearly put in the effort every day. We will definitely be going with The Hardworkers for any future landscaping needs we have, and I've already got some ideas in mind! read more

Aside from being The Hardworkers they are, they are also just downright wonderful and compassionate people! While I can't speak 100% to their craftsmanship, I can with full confidence attest to their generosity, honesty, competence, patience and cooperation. I had the pleasure of making a food delivery to Jason while he and his coworker were getting a landscaping job done in Tempe, and I unfortunately locked myself out of my car along with their lunch! While that might say a lot about me, it also says a lot about the heart that Jason and his coworker have because not once did I feel reprimanded, unsafe, or stupid for the situation I had now put us in. Jason did everything in his power to come up with solutions as well as precautions, let me use his phone, and made sure I had the right tools to get back the access to my car and belongings. He cracked jokes, made sure I felt at ease, and made sure I had plenty of water while I waited to get help - all while getting their job done! I don't know about you, whoever is reading this, but more often than not I find it hard to find this kind of professional who you can trust. While other competitors are out there phoning it in or doing the bare minimum, Jason and his team are without a doubt willing to put in extra effort for a job WELL done transparently. They can turn any frustrating bumps in the road into a scenic detour that you'll enjoy AND gets you where you want to be. That's the kind of professional I would hire in a heartbeat. We had a great experience with Jason and his crew..! Our backyard cut is one of a kind in our community and he did a great job from the initial visit, design, quote, materials, etc. His quote were all reasonable and even go above and beyond with everything. He even throw in lots discount and freebies to make sure we stayed within our budget with a little flexibility. The gravel/rocks itself were close to 150 tons but he did a great job of making sure we spent our money of its worth. The switch to put travertine instead of a regular paver were spot on and all worth it! The firepit is "FIRE"...! The turf was crazy beautiful and the sand pit for the kids was to dive into! The most important part of the experience is that we became friends along the process. He will treat and take care your property as if he owns it. I highly recommend him and his company! I'll not think twice getting him again in our next backyard project pretty soon. read more

Jason and Joel, with The Hard Workers, just completed a renovation of our back yard. We had no fewer than six bids for this pretty major project. Jason came over at the time he said he would. He walked us through his vision, took some measurements and got back to us that night with an estimate. Jason was not the least expensive but was very reasonable. After agreeing to work together, Jason assisted us in selecting materials and mapped out his approach. The end result was better than we could have every expected. Each cut of the travertine, the care taken when acid washing the pool, the seams in our new turf, the perfect lines and grading of the new paver walk way...every detail was important. We could not be happier. These guys cleaned up every night before they left, could not have been nicer and more respectful to my family and my dogs, and frankly they became like friends. Came out to my house in November and took up quite a bit of time looking at the project area in my backyard. Then, tried to get me to buy a full CAD design for my backyard in order for them to provide a quote. After I said that I just wanted a quote, he explained why he charges for a CAD design. I asked if he could provide a quote without it and he was hesitant but still said he would. I never heard back from them. It seems like they just wanted money up front. It would have been nice to know this is how they operate BEFORE they wasted so much of my time. read more

I am not one to publish reviews often, but, when the work is outstanding and the results are exceptional, I have to take the time to acknowledge the work. The Hardworkers are just that, hardworking young men with who get the job done and do it right. I searched for a company to install a new walk with pavers along the side of my home in Gilbert, AZ. I got a list of companies on Yelp and contacted three of them via email detailing the job and asking them to contact me for a quote. Jason from The Hardworkers, was the first and only one to answer my request. He came to my house, reviewed the job and gave me a quote via email that evening. I agree to the job details and the price and Jason returned to my home to have me sign a contract for the work. He explained that the pavers were hard to find and that finding ones that exactly matched my existing driveway was not possible, but he would do his best. That he did. He sent me pictures of the ones he had found, and they were close to what I have but a little darker. I was pleased with them and he purchased them and delivered them to my house. The Hardworkers were engaged in some other major jobs when they took mine on so I expected to wait for the installation, but within a week, they were are my house and doing the work. The work was started in the morning and the crew worked tirelessly in some real heat (105 degrees). They installed the pavers, including a good size pad for my trash cans, in less than eight hours and I am very pleased with the work. The professionalism, detailed work is evident in the final product and I could not be happier with the quality of the work and the price I paid. I highly recommend The Hardworkers.
