The one critique I have for this place is this: when a customer orders extra cheese or extra extra cheese on a steak and cheese PUT THE CHEESE ON IT!!! I so want to like this place but I'm always disappointed. The souvlaki is just wrong. Too much feta, not enough tzatziki, tomatoes or cucumbers. No lamb option. Would love a place to get a real Gyro (like Zo center plaza). The pizza is meh. Alfredo is flooded with sauce. The physical space looks nice but the food is just not great. read more

We have already gotten it a few times since it opened and have been quite happy every time. We have mixed it up and ordered some different things with the same positive results each time. Maria's Kitchen has opened this week on the corner of Centre and Maple St. The welcoming owner's name is Dimitrios. He has done an amazing job building this restaurant space..it is impeccable and beautiful! The food is absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. There are several tables but we ordered take out. My father had pork souvlaki with roasted potatoes and salad. I had chicken souvlaki with rice pilaf and grilled vegetables. Each also came with delicious pita bread, lemon wedge and tzatziki. Very nice place, clean, spacious, with TV's. The baked lamb is tender, braised with onions and garlic, and served with grilled pita and a good amount of rice pilaf. Nice, fresh Greek salad. I'll be returning. The Greek omelette sub looks interesting. read more

We've been here a few times and it's a hit or miss. The burgers aren't that great- very dry and tasteless. However their burger club is delicious. The subs are ok could be more sufficient. The pizza is very salty for my liking. The fries are tasteless. Onion rings are very crispy and delicious. The wing dings are good but a little salty. Steak and cheese sub was most fat and lacked cheese. Salads are pretty good. Their chicken in the calzones isn't very good quality. They have more specials listed in the restaurant than they have online which I hope they change. The specials should be at night too. read more

I've ordered from Maria's Kitchen 3 times this week! I honestly can't say enough about how delicious their food is! We've ordered the souvlaki, pizza, pasta, salad, calzones, and onion rings and have not been disappointed! Not only is their food delicious, but their prices are SO reasonable too! My food is always fresh and hot when I get it delivered and the delivery guy is super nice! This has become our new go to place. I can't wait to try more items from their menu. This place is brand new and it looks great. It is super clean and socially distanced. Great spot for a casual meal. We had quite the spread of food of and it was all excellent. DO NOT ORDER!!!Will never order here again. We tried two nights in a row to support this new local business. Last night we put in order then 29 minutes after placing order we received a phone call telling us that one of the pasta items on the menu is not actually available as "it is not popular". I asked why it was on the menu and was told they hadn't had time to remove it. Then they informed me that they hadn't put rest of order in yet because they were hoping id substitute a different item and wanted everything to be ready at once. Makes sense but how about an immediate call rather than 20 minutes before customer is expecting delivery! We cancelled entire order and said we'd try again. We tried again the next night. After waiting one hour with no delivery (we live 1.5 miles from Marias) I called. Was told driver left some time ago and should be arriving any second. Another 15 minutes went by and I called again. Was told the same. Asked to speak to manager and response was "I am the owner" he then proceeded to tell me he was the one that spoke to me earlier and said the driver would be there any second. I told him he told me that 15 minutes ago. He put me on hold told me he was going to call driver. Waited again 7 minutes on hold. Same man came back and said driver is on way. I could have walked there and back in the wait time. No apology no explanation no 10% discount no nothing. Very rudely told me "cancel order of you don't want it " and then he hung up! Driver arrived at 730. Food was ordered at 535. Food was cold. Called to ask for refund and was told " we don't do that" and then I tried to re- explain last night, tonight and was hung up on again. A simple I am sorry would have gone a long way. We were genuinely trying to support a new local business. Will take our business elsewhere. Very disappointed. The one star is for ease of reading online menu. It ends there. Buyer beware! read more

Wow, expectations exceeded ! We both got dinners to go. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection. Great flavor and very tender. The chicken kabobs very moist and tasty. Very very generous portions. Both dinners paired with rice pilaf that tasted home made from scratch. Soft opening so far but when this is up and running at full speed this will be one of the best and busiest restaurants in the Parkway Area. West Roxbury just got a winner! read more
