If you are craving sushi but don't want to sit down for long and feel overwhelmed by options, go to Mari Mari. It's super casual and especially great for beginners. Items are on display which is super helpful. Prices are fantastic! Sushi comes out pretty quickly, the piece sizes are perfect, they're not overstuffed with rice. I loved the furfake that came with it too! The inaris were a bit overwhelming and heavy on the respective sauces. I don't know if it is just a personal preference but I personally will be sticking to the sushi when I go back.

A small place to stop by for a quick lunch! Went with a group of 5 and nearly wasn't able to sit down in this small establishment but made some space. The spicy udon was quite good and the 3 inari options chosen were delicious! The scallops were creamy, the eel was cooked well, and the crab was tasty. It was surprisingly very filling and overall an enjoyable lunch.

This was my first visit to Mari Mari, and I look forward to returning! I liked seeing all of the display of their different Inaris. However, I found my salmon one to be a bit bland. I may try the garlic shrimp or mushroom next time to make my final call about Inaris. I think Mari Mari is a great option for sushi and non sushi lovers alike. It's a great intro for those that are freaked out by raw seafood, as the majority are cooked options such as chicken katsu, calamari, beef bulbogi etc. I opted for the raw salmon +1, katsu and calamari. The rolls were formed well, rice seasoning good, all around a solid 3 roll combo for appx $14 including tax. The yuzuade was good for a "treat yourself" day, but I'm not usually one to spend on drinks. For $5 it was okay, but not something I'd get again. I look forward to returning because they actually have chicken based ran tan miso ramen which is super exciting for me since it's always offered with pork and I personally don't eat pork !

    - Service: Friendly staff. They prepared my pick-up order very fast. - Ambiance: Nice and clean store. However, it's pretty small and doesn't have much seatings. - Food: We were hyped up by a nice concept of Korean-Japanese fusion kind of sushi/inari they have here, but we unfortunately ended up being disappointing. The tofu skin of the inari is so sweet that it overpowers everything else. The rice base is insanely sweet, which it made us bored of the food really fast. The rolls are small and mediocre at best. Most of the ingredients here just don't feel fresh at all (from the chicken, salmon, bulgogi, etc), everything seems like it sits in the fridge/case for a long time. $50 for all of these (which included $5 off from the discount we had already), which is pretty fair I'd say. I would not come back, but to each their own.

Love love this ramen x inari shop in Center City! It's the perfect place to grab a quick to-go dinner (highly recommend a box of their inari - sushi rice stuffed into fried tofu pouches with yummy protein toppings like garlic shrimp). Also a great spot for a casual sit down ramen with friends. You order at the counter and service is pretty fast. The seating inside is limited but haven't had a problem getting a table (but might need to wait a couple minutes).

I stopped by Mari Mari while in Philly and really enjoyed it! It's a Korean-Japanese fusion spot with a really cute interior. There are cozy table seats and even a little bar area if you want to dine in. We ordered to-go and tried a few flavors of their inari. My favorites were the salmon and unagi - super tender, flavorful, and fresh. The scallop inari is made with dried scallops which I wasn't expecting but the flavor was good. The mushroom garlic was also an interesting inari flavor but it worked. Everything was packaged neatly, and the service was quick and friendly.

Watching the chefs roll while I waited for my food was great. I didn't have to wait long for them to get the food to my table despite there only being three people behind the counter. The lighting isn't harsh in here and I love how everything is set up so comfortably as well. Everything that I ordered was delicious, 10/10.

$11.95 for three rolls of sushi is almost unheard of these days! Mari Mari came through with the deal and I was enticed to stop by for lunch. Everything on the menu looked excellent, especially the Inari. I'll be trying that next time. For now, I want to focus on what I got. Sweet potato, spicy tuna and Philly avocado rolls. All incredibly delicious! Philly avo was my top favorite and the sweet po came in second. The employee at the counter was kind, as I informed her it was my first time visiting and she provided a quick breakdown of the menu. There's a great variety of beverages at the front, too. The seating and flooring appeared to be clean and well-kept. I should have asked for more soy sauce, as they only provide a small container of it. Other than that, everything was nicely packaged and traveled well in the bag. I'll definitely be returning!

Mari Mari is one of my favorite places to go to for a quick meal. I love that they offer sushi with purple rice. There are many options but my favorites ones to order are with spam and bulgogi beef. The yuzu drink is also really good and it's purple too!

cute and easy spot for a quick mid workday lunch! they have a lot of variety here, but the flavor choices for the rolls are a bit unconventional and not appealing to me. i ended up ordering x2 of the salmon w scallion, and x1 of the chicken katsu. the chicken katsu roll was dry, and honestly it just felt like it shouldn't have been made into a sushi roll. the salmon w scallion was better, but i would have preferred avocado over scallion. there honestly weren't very many fish options which was quite disappointing, even the tuna looked like it was canned tuna instead of fresh raw tuna. i also got the salmon tataki inari which tasted exactly how i expected. it was quite flavorful and much better than the sushi rolls. service was good and fast, the cashier was very friendly and brought my food to my table. this is a good spot for a quick solo lunch, several people (including me) were eating by themselves, so i didn't feel awkward or alone.

Food was so good, Services was really good, and the place was so clean and nice. This a 10 out of 10. A must try if you're in Philadelphia.

Ahhh, where do I begin with this great place. I'm pretty sure I came here 3 days in a row. I love this place. What I love most about it is their menu. This place is the place that introduced me to inari's. Imagine how sad I was when I realized I spent most of my life not knowing about it, lol. It's a tofu pouch filled with rice, meat or veggies, and variety of sauces. It's soooooo good. The best part is that each one is under $4. The chicken, spicy crab, Tuna mayo, and garlic mushroom inari's are all $2.95. So you can get 3 for less than $10. My girl also loves the ramen here (yes, they have ramen, too). I tried it, and it really is solid for a place that isn't exclusively a ramen spot. They also have some solid sushi. I tried it and liked it too. The service isn't bad at all. If your going to place an order for pickup, it usually takes about 20 minutes to be ready. I'd recommend doing that. There's seating inside but not a lot. Additionally, if it's packed, it can get pretty warm cause they have like a fan and a portable air conditioner.

I ordered my usual ramen and two sushi rolls to split with my partner, and ordered through here on yelp through DoorDash. Because of a system issue, my food was ordered twice (after paying it said there was a system error and it couldn't be completed and my cart was still full and after it happened twice I figured something was really wrong.) I had a sense something was weird, and had my partner call ahead to assure there was only ONE order, and otherwise cancel the second immediately, which he did. When I got there there were 2 orders, and the restaurant smilingly said it was already made and wanted to give me both bags. They REFUSED to cancel an order or to talk to DoorDash directly. I insisted on calling DoorDash in the store to make sure I got a refund because I couldn't afford to pay double for my food and risk it (what would be $84 for one bowl of soup and two sushi rolls.) After 45 minutes on the phone, and now cold soup and warm sushi to bring home, I was assured I would get my money back in "a few days." It has now been two months and I have not received a refund. I have been going here for years, and very upset on this lack of oversight on the restaurants part. I think they mostly interact with college students that are passive and they can manipulate. The restaurant said it was my fault because I used the ordering service they provided through yelp like I should have known better not to use it (and again, I've ordered online here many times!) They made my favorite ramen, but the countless hours I have now spent on very expensive cold soup and warm sushi-- I will not return until this is rectified. Other comparable restaurants that make ramen in other areas of the city of the same size will send me a full refund for a drink just for sending me the wrong flavor! it's so loud in the restaurant to even have a conversation or be on the phone to communicate when the issue happened (again college scene and club music.)

Came on a Sunday evening and about half the small restaurant was filled - the space is super cute, with an inviting dark blue color scheme and cute posters and photos of inspirational quotes and dogs. The mushroom and zucchini one actually had slightly more flavor, but the sauces on both were really tasty with good contrast in flavor, and the veggies were fried just right. For mains I got the Vegan Miso ramen with egg noodles and my husbans got the Vegan Spicy Kimchi ramen with egg noodles. I LOVED my ramen - the broth was deeply savory, the corn added nice pops of sweetness, and I really enjoyed the soy patty - it was chewy and had a great bite. My husband also enjoyed his ramen and said it was one of the best in the city - the kimchi flavor was very different than any ramen I've tried before. literally best vegetarian / vegan sushi in the city…read more okay to start, if your friend/date/family member is vegetarian or vegan, take them here. you both will have options. inside is cozy. service is really thorough and like a well oiled machine. for the vegetarians: The lime sinko roll is a classic avocado cucumber roll with a pickled vegetable layer on top and a thin slice of lime. the roll itself is great, simple, and a classic. my sister really likes the pickled vegetable and lime on top. I however, just peel it off. it's good but I prefer without it. the veggie on fire is what you need: probably their best roll on the menu. it's a cucumber avocado roll with a spicy zucchini sauce on top and crispy fried onions. it's messy. it's spicy. it's delicious. the sauce is orange in color, has tiny slivers of zucchini in it. I was hesitant to try it at first, but it's my favorite roll now. the vegan tuna roll: it's marinated tomato in place of tuna. i've never had fish or tuna, but it definitely tastes a lot more fishy. I guess that's the marinade. texture is kinda slimy? mushy? I feel like this might be the roll for someone who liked the taste of fish but went vegan and wants a replica. Not for me, but well made nonetheless. Appetizers The veggie gyoza: the gyoza itself is green, doesn't taste different to a non green dough, but visually that might matter to some people. sauce they serve on the side is very good. comes with a lot, at least 6 I think. tastes good. I don't recall any mushrooms in it and if there is they are not noticeable as i'm not the biggest fan of mushrooms. The Spring rolls: new to the menu, no meat, interesting? they are more soft inside than expected. not a lot of veggies. tiny. cute little app to share and try. they come with two. no mushrooms. I typically prefer a more veggie heavy and crispy spring roll but i'd order them again! Samosa: currently off the menu I think, but in case they add it back, this was very good. i'd order this over the spring rolls. they were crispier and I think it came with three. Miso Soup: it's a fine little bowl of miso. I typically always order miso at every Japanese restaurant to start my meal. i'm not picky about miso, but I will say, it's not my favorite miso. I still order it every time, just not the absolute best i've had. It has small little tofu chunks and some green leafs which I find are in most misos but I have no idea what they are. small little bowl. perfect to order first. edamame: very good I always order in the beginning and I have a bad habit of also ordering another for dessert. the veggie bun: I don't like mushrooms, but if you do you will love this. my sister loves it. it's not often there is a vegetarian option for a bun, so i'd get it. the sauce on it is very good. comes with two. Karaage: This is chicken, but my dad gets it and it looks very good and crispy. if I ate meat i'd order this. avocado salad: okay so the ginger dressing is a little different than typical ginger dressing which I like. it's unique and very good. the amount of avocado is amazing! it has to be a whole avocado. always fresh. the green leafs are a little big, so this can get messy fast if you're on a date and trying to be demure. this is a must order for three people in my family. every time we go it's three orders clock work. I tried sharing with my sister and we determined we cannot share this. honestly bigger than I expected and more filling than I expected. has some cut up tomato's and cucumbers inside as well. mochi: must get. one order is one mochi cut in half. so two people could share one mochi order. i'm team chocolate, but I heard strawberry is good. I think I tried all of their flavors but honestly can't remember them. I'll update as I try more of the vegetarian/vegan rolls
