Second time I came here, got crowded really fast, glad we came earlier. Really enjoyed this spot! Quick service, and the ramen is great. Spot is a decent size and is busy so it gets a little loud, but that didn't bother us. Would definitely come back!

As soon as I walked in, the server had my water, menu and chopsticks/spoon ready for me. Broth is delicious, flavorful and has a little bite. Although a small bowl for $18, it does taste good, especially on an October evening. Restaurant is nice, small, dimmed lights and background music (perfect for my Ramen slurping-and yes, a sign of a tasty flavor). Recommend and would return. Thank you.

Got the kara miso ramen. The broth was deep and flavorful. Pork belly was well seasoned and tender.

The pork jowl ramen pork is incredibly tender and flavorful. The service is still so fast!!! This place remains so underrated.

Perfect spot to go to on a cold winter day. I went here during my lunch break and it's nice to sit and people watch with a bowl of ramen. I recommend their signature Aka Nom Nom. The service was excellent and it was relatively quiet being closer to the front of the restaurant. I am glad I gave this spot another chance (I had a mid takeout experience, but that's what I get for getting ramen to go).

Okay. I stopped by this place on a Sunday evening while on a business trip. My general rule of thumb is to not judge a restaurant based on Sunday or Mondays. That being said, this restaurant is the exception to the rule. I had the pork belly buns and the aka Ramen. The flavors in both of these were amazing. You should definitely give this place a shot. The broth in the Aka Ramen is simmered for 36 hours! Also, prices were very reasonable. The restaurant itself is on the smaller size but nicely appointed. The server was efficient and attentive. Can't say enough nice things about this place.

Nom Nom is my go-to ramen place when I'm around the center city area. I raved about the Aka nom nom ramen to my family and they all ended up ordering the same thing! We loved the rich broth and the flavorful chashu. I wish their aka bomb (spicy seasoning topper) was a bit more spicy!! If I'm not mistaken, their aka bomb is milder now than it was years ago. Or maybe I'm just a spice fiend LOL. This is a relatively small place and when I went, there was only 1 waiter/host. So service is a *bit* slow when it is busy, but worth the wait!

Often, I find it challenging to locate a good ramen spot in highly populated cities. Near Center City, Nom Nom Ramen provides a comforting bowl of ramen to warm you up on a cold Philadelphia day. I ordered the Aka Nom Nom. It is their signature ramen. The noodles were great, the toppings added great flavors to the broth, and the broth was light enough to finish and empty the bowl. The service was excellent! They always greet you with a smile, and the staff is attentive. I never had to ask to refill my glass of water. Very relaxed atmosphere. If you are looking for something quick and easy to eat, try this place. Let me know what your experience. I hope you enjoy the pictures. Stay healthy!

Nom Nom ramen is a great spot if you just happen to randomly crave ramen. I ordered the aka nom nom ramen with pork and it tasted great. I would say it's nothing special, but again it does satisfy that ramen urge if you ever happen to get it and you're in the area. The broth was pretty rich, but a little watery. The noodles were good, a bit too al dente, but still good texture. The pork was very good lots of rich flavor. The interior was nice and had great lighting, but the tables were a bit small, we had a party of 4 and a booth felt a bit too tight. I would probably order take out only if I got Nom Nom Ramen again. The service was excellent and the server answered all our questions well and gave great recommendations.

Cute little place found on a side street by our Hotel for lunch. Loved the Ramen though mine was mainly all noodles. Very filling out group of 4 really enjoyed our meal and lunch. Small restaurant so if you are going during a busy time would recommend calling about reservations. We went for a late lunch and were promptly seated. Definitely a great place for Ramen if you are in Philly.

I ordered my usual ramen and two sushi rolls to split with my partner, and ordered through here on yelp through DoorDash. Because of a system issue, my food was ordered twice (after paying it said there was a system error and it couldn't be completed and my cart was still full and after it happened twice I figured something was really wrong.) I had a sense something was weird, and had my partner call ahead to assure there was only ONE order, and otherwise cancel the second immediately, which he did. When I got there there were 2 orders, and the restaurant smilingly said it was already made and wanted to give me both bags. They REFUSED to cancel an order or to talk to DoorDash directly. I insisted on calling DoorDash in the store to make sure I got a refund because I couldn't afford to pay double for my food and risk it (what would be $84 for one bowl of soup and two sushi rolls.) After 45 minutes on the phone, and now cold soup and warm sushi to bring home, I was assured I would get my money back in "a few days." It has now been two months and I have not received a refund. I have been going here for years, and very upset on this lack of oversight on the restaurants part. I think they mostly interact with college students that are passive and they can manipulate. The restaurant said it was my fault because I used the ordering service they provided through yelp like I should have known better not to use it (and again, I've ordered online here many times!) They made my favorite ramen, but the countless hours I have now spent on very expensive cold soup and warm sushi-- I will not return until this is rectified. Other comparable restaurants that make ramen in other areas of the city of the same size will send me a full refund for a drink just for sending me the wrong flavor! it's so loud in the restaurant to even have a conversation or be on the phone to communicate when the issue happened (again college scene and club music.)

Came on a Sunday evening and about half the small restaurant was filled - the space is super cute, with an inviting dark blue color scheme and cute posters and photos of inspirational quotes and dogs. We ordered the Tofu and Eggplant taco and Mushroom and Zucchini taco to start - both were delicious. The mushroom and zucchini one actually had slightly more flavor, but the sauces on both were really tasty with good contrast in flavor, and the veggies were fried just right. For mains I got the Vegan Miso ramen with egg noodles and my husbans got the Vegan Spicy Kimchi ramen with egg noodles. I LOVED my ramen - the broth was deeply savory, the corn added nice pops of sweetness, and I really enjoyed the soy patty - it was chewy and had a great bite. My husband also enjoyed his ramen and said it was one of the best in the city - the kimchi flavor was very different than any ramen I've tried before. Service is good and overall I will definitely come back to Taco & Ramen and maybe try a new item. Yum!

literally best vegetarian / vegan sushi in the city…read more okay to start, if your friend/date/family member is vegetarian or vegan, take them here. you both will have options. inside is cozy. service is really thorough and like a well oiled machine. for the vegetarians: The lime sinko roll is a classic avocado cucumber roll with a pickled vegetable layer on top and a thin slice of lime. the roll itself is great, simple, and a classic. my sister really likes the pickled vegetable and lime on top. I however, just peel it off. it's good but I prefer without it. the veggie on fire is what you need: probably their best roll on the menu. it's a cucumber avocado roll with a spicy zucchini sauce on top and crispy fried onions. it's messy. it's spicy. it's delicious. the sauce is orange in color, has tiny slivers of zucchini in it. I was hesitant to try it at first, but it's my favorite roll now. the vegan tuna roll: it's marinated tomato in place of tuna. i've never had fish or tuna, but it definitely tastes a lot more fishy. I guess that's the marinade. texture is kinda slimy? mushy? I feel like this might be the roll for someone who liked the taste of fish but went vegan and wants a replica. Not for me, but well made nonetheless. Appetizers The veggie gyoza: the gyoza itself is green, doesn't taste different to a non green dough, but visually that might matter to some people. sauce they serve on the side is very good. comes with a lot, at least 6 I think. tastes good. I don't recall any mushrooms in it and if there is they are not noticeable as i'm not the biggest fan of mushrooms. The Spring rolls: new to the menu, no meat, interesting? they are more soft inside than expected. not a lot of veggies. tiny. cute little app to share and try. they come with two. no mushrooms. I typically prefer a more veggie heavy and crispy spring roll but i'd order them again! Samosa: currently off the menu I think, but in case they add it back, this was very good. i'd order this over the spring rolls. they were crispier and I think it came with three. Miso Soup: it's a fine little bowl of miso. I typically always order miso at every Japanese restaurant to start my meal. i'm not picky about miso, but I will say, it's not my favorite miso. I still order it every time, just not the absolute best i've had. It has small little tofu chunks and some green leafs which I find are in most misos but I have no idea what they are. small little bowl. perfect to order first. edamame: very good I always order in the beginning and I have a bad habit of also ordering another for dessert. the veggie bun: I don't like mushrooms, but if you do you will love this. my sister loves it. it's not often there is a vegetarian option for a bun, so i'd get it. the sauce on it is very good. comes with two. Karaage: This is chicken, but my dad gets it and it looks very good and crispy. if I ate meat i'd order this. avocado salad: okay so the ginger dressing is a little different than typical ginger dressing which I like. it's unique and very good. the amount of avocado is amazing! it has to be a whole avocado. always fresh. the green leafs are a little big, so this can get messy fast if you're on a date and trying to be demure. this is a must order for three people in my family. every time we go it's three orders clock work. I tried sharing with my sister and we determined we cannot share this. honestly bigger than I expected and more filling than I expected. has some cut up tomato's and cucumbers inside as well. mochi: must get. one order is one mochi cut in half. so two people could share one mochi order. i'm team chocolate, but I heard strawberry is good. I think I tried all of their flavors but honestly can't remember them. I'll update as I try more of the vegetarian/vegan rolls
