Sushi Ya was pretty solid on their 3 roll lunch special, with tax it's $15. The miso soup is standard with all of these take out style sushi spots. It's okay, bland ish, and had ONE tofu in it. It's a pet peeve of mine that all these places skimp on the cheapest ingredients, both the seaweed and silk tofu are pennies when you divide it into a soup. The peppers, onions and rice werent that great and I didnt even swallow My first piece of steak. Spit it back out (as shown on the plate on the right side). I then picked out all of the pieces of "steak" and put them on the side so I wouldnt mistakenly put anymore of it in my mouth. Then, after I was finished with most of the rice, peppers and onion, the plate sat in front of Me for another 15-20 minutes while I watched tv. Six (6) pieces of sushi on rice, and a spicy tuna roll, served with a green salad, and my expectations were exceeded. You have a choice of soup or salad. Desert: I'm a stickler for a traditional tiramisu but I love their tiramisu cake, so light and delicious! But, their chocolate slice is to die for! It's rich but as soft as a could. I enjoy the green tea mochi for a light treat. It's so refreshing and tasty. Same goes for the Taro boba (bubble tea). Edamame (3/5): Cooked fine but missing salt. Spicy Kani Salad (4/5): This is a quality dish with nice flavor and texture combo between the kani and cucumber. Would have been nice to have this over a larger bed of lettuce and greens. Tokyo Dumpling Soup (3/5): The miso flavor is nice but the vegetables sadly have little flavor. The dumplings fell apart a bit and the inside of them were alright. Spicy Scallop Avocado Roll (5/5): Wow -- they don't mess around with quantities. This roll was overflowing with scallop and avocado! Both were incredibly fresh. Philadelphia Roll (5/5): Similarly, this roll was packed with fish and avo plus they include a nice dollop of cream cheese.
