Just moving to MB from Texas, my wife and I had a hankering for some authentic Mexican food. The place was packed for lunch. Wife had enchiladas, which she said were good but the sauce wasn't. I had a carnita lunch plate and I enjoyed it. Simple and flavorful. Service was rushed which I'm not a fan of, but I understand. So...the overall consensus of Yelp about this place is TOTALLY WRONG. Margaritas is what's up! My girlfriends and I were in town for a girls weekend and it was National Taco Day so we decided we HAD to have tacos. It just so happened that this restaurant was one of the places our hotel shuttle (Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort) would drop us off for free so, despite the Yelp reviews, we decided to risk it and we are not mad!! We arrived and ended up sitting at the bar to avoid a wait. We sat with two regulars (Christian and Carlos) and they had plenty of recommendations, which was appreciated. We got the house margaritas and they were super good. I ended up getting steak tacos and they were delicious!! With the complimentary chips and salsa and the tacos with their sides, I was completely stuffed and happy! Everything was so good and appropriately priced, to boot! Being the huge Latin trap music fan that I am, I ended up asking them to play some Bad Bunny and they played his entire album throughout the restaurant! Talk about customer service! They also made some strawberry margs and had leftovers that they gave us in little shot glasses. The food and service were superb and we honestly had the best time! I ordered one of the combos with a tamale and enchilada, and my husband ordered the 2 enchiladas and taco combo with salsa verde on his enchiladas (good move), they were delicious. Just got back from eating there. This was my second visit. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit. We had a German cockroach crawl up the wall of our booth. The waiter used rolled up silverware to swat it off the wall. Then, another one crawled right out from our booth. I'm so disgusted right now. We just saw a health department score of 88, but as far as I'm concerned, they need to be shut down until they get serious about getting their roach problem under control. I will be calling the health department and making a complaint on Monday. We will not return. Ever! read more

Very tasty and highly suggest the steak burrito's they are 10/10 they automatically give you chips but you have to ask for cheese which is also 10/10. I will be back here everytime I visit my inlaws. Worst experience ever. After waiting longer than anticipated my party of seven did not get to sit together even though three other tables were open and would accommodate my party. Our food took over an hour and the waitress did not check on us once to see if we needed anything or to update us the food. Within that hour many others parties came in, ate and left. My wife had a Stuffed Poblano and it was excellent. The child's taco was large enough for an adult and our granddaughter said it was the best she's had in a long time. It brings me no pleasure whatsoever to give Margarita's a 2 Star rating; however, this establishment is essentially lackluster on many fronts. Service left something to be desired as we noted that our waiter was not nearly as friendly or responsive as other waitstaff within the establishment. Quality of food was adequate though it did not stand out compared to other establishments. Lastly, upon leaving the establishment, there was NO way around the wall of cigarette smoke of 5-6 smokers seated and standing around a bench directly outside the only entrance and exit to the restaurant. Honestly, this was offensive, especially as o7r country exits the coronavirus global pandemic that begins as a respiratory illness before an all on assault of every body system. Thus far, this has been the single most disappointing dining experience of our vacation thus far. I highly recommend that you consider other Mexican dining options before deciding to dine at Margarita's. PS I do NOT recommend their margaritas. Seriously, go somewhere else! read more
