What a plate of food! The meat sauce was not skimpy at all....lots of beef and flavorful seasoning. The noodles were soft while still firm enough to maintain the shape. The generous portion and the really soft bread were a great dinner to bring a long day to an end. As a lover of Italian food, I plan to visit several area restaurants over this weekend. The last couple of Friday's the pizza was a little dry. So, this past Friday, we ordered the X-large build your own, which included 3 toppings. We usually only add one topping and half of another on the pizza. In the comments, I asked if we could get a little extra sauce with a question mark. While I was driving to pick up the order, I saw an additional charge pop up for $1 that said customer requested. When I walked up to pick up my order, I asked about the charge. She said it was for the extra sauce. I asked if extra sauce would be counted as one of the 3 toppings and she said it wouldn't and a charge for extra sauce is automatically charged in their system. I said it seemed it would be covered by a topping, but ok. As I was walking out, I saw the owner walk up to the checkout person and I heard her say, "he's just mad we charged for extra sauce." I didn't appreciate that being said because I didn't raise my voice or do anything other than ask and say I thought the extra sauce should be covered since I was charged for a 3 topping pizza. I wasn't rude and I didn't use a negative tone. Overall, this was disappointing for a business we frequent. I'll know next time about extra sauce.
