OMG. I did exactly as the Marco's Pizza commercial did. Two guys driving pizza sitting in the backseat and can't wait to get home to enjoy it. Yup. Yup. The aromatic from the box. Mmm... I wish I lived nearby. I sure enjoyed the fresh tasting pizza first thing when I got home. Looking at the toppings on this pizza slice... Tomatoes, onions, chicken chunks, crushed bacon and cheese are well defined. That means the ingredients are fresh and they do taste fresh. The employee who took the order was a patient man. Being my first time here at Marco's Pizza, I carefully studied the menu beforehand. Unlike other chain restaurants, the menu is clearly displayed at the counter. I don't have to stretch my neck to see it. There are few well-worn seats accompanied by bistro tables in the tiny "dining room" by the window. This is mainly takeout restaurant. But I get to catch up with my news sitting here while waiting for my pizza. For those reviewers upset about no one answered the phone or didn't deliver on time, consider this... We ordered the Italian Chef Salad and 2 Pepperoni & Sausage Pizzolis. The salad was fresh and there was a perfect balance between lettuce, tomatoes, meat and cheese. The pizzolis were a generous size so there is lunch for tomorrow. They were accompanied by marinara sauce. The dusting of parmesan cheese on the outside and the cheesy filling made this a fantastic alternative to pizza. Really delicious! read more

Been calling this location for delivery for an hour now since 10pm they keep putting me on hold for 8-9 min so eventually I get frustrated and hang up wait a bit to call back and they keep putting me on hold for long periods. First off, this location is a bit of a drive for me and I go quite often so that should tell you something. I've been coming here for a few years now and it is the one pizza place in town I have never had even one bad experience with. Been a long time patron of different Marco's around the Houston area, depending on home/ work location. This particular location has been very good to me for the past three years. Knowing that not all of Marco's are owned by the same people, I attribute this mostly to the team they had working there. In the past year, I've seen a complete turnaround on all of their employees. All of the old faces that were nailing this day in and day out Have gone away and the new team has never been able to rise to the occasion. It's been a noticeable decline in quality and service. In my last two visits my pizza was greatly undercooked. The first time I didn't say anything because stuff happens. The second time I made sure to check my pizza before I walked out and identified the same problem. I brought it to the attention of the people working and I was told that it was done correctly and that they're not doing anything different. I told him that the final result is very different from what I usually receive and from what I expect, and they need to look into why that is. I'm a chef and one of my specialties is pizza. I have been making it for over 25 years from scratch, and I also teach cooking in several capacities around the city. After a long hours of working, I often just do not want to have to cook anymore in my day. This is why I come here. I was patient and thoughtful in the way I expressed myself, and the manager on duty, Steven, continued to be combative with me in telling me that there was nothing wrong. Any situations, employees should lose the idea of ego, and do everything they can to help the customer. I did not feel like I was heard or that they cared about my concerns. He put the pizza back in the oven and baked it longer for me, after it had been cut already. This made the edges dried out and crusty in between each slice which was not a pleasurable eating experience. I was already tired and hungry and didn't wanna wait around for another brand-new pizza to be made, or have to coach him through the process on making it correctly. I asked him who I could talk to besides him and he said the other manager had left for the day. Then he told me just to fill out the survey on my receipt. He wouldn't tell me anybody's name to ask for if I called back and he was completely uncooperative. I immediately went and filled out the survey and expressed myself in detail so that the company could know everything that happened as it was fresh in my mind. I received an email from a district manager, Ronnie, and he requested that I call him. I called him, and he was driving and asked if he could call me back later that day, and he never did. Granted, this was the Fourth of July and while most food and beverage people like myself will work on the Fourth of July, I give the benefit of the doubt that he had commitments for that day and was not able to get back to me. It's now three days later, and I've still heard nothing at all. I won't be patronizing this location any longer, and there's not an any location close enough to me that I'd be willing to drive out of my way to patronize them anymore. However, the location on dairy Ashford has been decent in the past. It's a real shame because I always gave major props to this location for making some of the best pizza in the area. It's not the absolute best, but it was convenient to our neighborhood and I always appreciated the personalized service I got from the last team that was there. Unfortunately I don't know any of their names, because our interactions were always so brief, but my wife and I always jokingly called them the headbangers ball, LOL. Just a bunch of long-haired guys making pizza perfectly and taking good care of their customers. Something's missing from the equation of this location, and I'm not sure what it is. Maybe new ownership, maybe not enough hands-on from the owners or from the regional, or maybe they just don't care anymore. Whatever it is, I'm not going to try to figure it out anymore, but I wanted to share my experience. I decided to stop in because I'm always interested in what a new pizza spot can bring. So when I arrived I was greeted by Perry. He was such a nice man. He provided me all pizza options and encouraged me to try the garlic butter crust. It was very tasty. It definitely doesn't taste like any other pizza thar I've had in Houston. I'm giving them a 5 star rating because of the service. I will definitely return the staff was friendly over the phone, I was provided coupons and a menu when I was leaving. Perry also encouraged to take the survey because you get free cheese bread. I will be back to try other things on the menu. Overall give then a try it's worth it. read more

Best pizza I ever had from a chain! It's even good staight out of the fridge. The dough is great and we liked the flavors, but didn't like that they use canned mushrooms and wish they had an option to add basil when ordering on the app. The sauces that come on the side were a bit of a disappointment; the pizza sauce is a bit bland and needs oregano/basil imo and the garlic butter sauce just tastes like butter flavored oil with a hint of garlic. It's tough to give a full review as most of my issues are service based. My wife and I ordered Marco's after getting a mailer in our mail. We figured the other chains are nothing to write home about so we'd try something. We ordered 2 pizzas, a thin crust cheese pizza and a normal crust pizza with sausage and ham. After ordering, we were given a delivery estimate of 35 minutes. Unfortunately it took a little more than an hour for the pizza to arrive. By the time it arrived the pizza was cold and we didn't get a real fee for the taste. I think it could have been good but I couldn't tell since it wasn't piping hot. I don't want to disparage a place over one time and we do plan to give it another try but I think 2 stars os fair for now. Best pick-up pizza ever. Good bye Papa Johns/Dominoes/Pizza Hut I discovered Marco's when my co-workers introduced me to it, and thought it was really good. Lucky for me there's one close by my apartments so I can have some when there's an event or game going on. For the last two times we've got the chicken fresco. Geez I can't believe every time we picked up it was hot, fresh and ready for us. The pizza is so tasty and the cheese strings coming off when you pick up the slice is just amazing. Why 5 stars though? Because of how awesome the staff are. Everyone from the person that picks up to the phone to the one giving us the pizza. We order multiple pizzas on a regular basis for work from this location I order pizza so regularly that I get 2 plus coupons a month for 50% off your order emailed to me from Marco's however, on yesterday when I go to pick up my order and handed the gentleman my coupon for 50% off I was informed I can't use the coupon because the have new management.?? This is unacceptable this regular customer and our company will no longer give you our business for our meeting etc!!! First of all, I don't give 5-stars to many places but this place deserves it. I agree with the Yelper before me on that they don't skimp on cheese. :) I ordered two pizzas, one thin crust pepperoni/bacon (9/10) and one regular plain cheese (10/10) as well as their cinnamon dessert (11/10). Their pizza was amazing and very hot when we got it, even if it was delivery - that is amazing in itself. Now, for my favorite part of the meal - the dessert! Their cinnamon squares are TO DIE FOR. I can't describe it anymore but it was fresh, warm and buttery. The thing that gave this place the five stars it deserves is that the delivery lady was beyond friendly, even at the end of the day she still had a huge smile on her face and greeted us like she knew us. So I had been wanting to try this place for awhile. Unfortunately, I had to walk out because when I walked in I immediately noticed pizza's were being prepared by people not wearing gloves and wiping their hands on their very dirty uniforms! It literally made my stomach rise! It was completely unsanitary, especially in this day of a pandemic. The location of this place is not very inviting either.
