There has been a series change at this place in recent months. The service and atmosphere is still amazing. But.....they have started skimping on toppings and garlic sauce cups. I ordered a 1 topping with 2 other pizzas and it appears they used 1 mushroom. (See pic). Then, even if you order multiple pizzas, they will only put in 1 garlic sauce cup even if you have requested one with each pizza (didn't notice until I got home). 3rd time this has happened so it's not a one off. These are the reasons I stopped going to their competitors.....stop short changing folks otherwise I'll have to go elsewhere. read more

I ordered the Italian Sub and it only had one paper thin piece of ham on it. Plenty of Pepperoni and veggies galore but not near enough ham. We moved from out of state. Our Marco's pizza back home was great every time. For this store in Athens, AL; the pizzas have been awful. This is our third time. Each time, the pizzas were SUPER GREASY, very short on toppings, and just tasted awful. Our last two pizzas (same order) had about 3" of just crust around the edge... I mean, 3" of nothing but crust, no sauce, no meat toppings. This place makes any of Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, or Little Caesar's look great --- even the ones around here which are worse than in other cities. So far, we haven't found a decent pizza in Athens, Decatur, or Madison, Alabama... We're better off getting a Jack's or even a Totino's. Yes, even those two are better than any of the pizza stores in this area. This was our very last attempt at Marco's in this area. read more

I ordered a pizza and they lost the order. They tried to recover quickly and gave me an under cooked pizza. My advice is to never tip in advance. Make them earn the tip through decent service. Bottom line, I will go somewhere else in the future. read more

Was my favorite but they keep fooling around with website ordering and there are so many ad on costs I don't know now. Lost my order today because the website is laid out so crappy. Absolutely the best pizza in Athens, Alabama. I'm not sure who their manager is, but hats off to hiring pleasant, kind individuals to work the window when I pick up. I have never had a bad experience and have ordered many times. For the best pizza, order the "Old World Pepperoni". These are crunchy, small pepperonis that no other pizza place has. We usually order extra cheese, extra "Old World Pepperoni" pizzas. Would give a 6 star review if possible. Our favorite! read more

As much as I hate to leave a bad review, here goes....we've been eating Marcos pizza for a while. I believe the website for the Athens store was designed by computer school dropouts. I have never struggled so much just to order an ordinary pizza. The website is bad enough for me to get in the car, go to Pizza Hut to get the exact pizza I want in less time than it takes to beg Marcos website to work properly. Another problem I have is you are given rewards....or coupons. So I went to the website to order a pizza that happens to always be "on sale", and you can't order it not "on sale"....so to use the coupons or loyalty rewards you can't buy what you normally would if it is on sale or is a special. Just so happens, most things on the menu are "on sale"....well played Marcos....Coupons are useless. The pizza is good, it tastes great - so it's sad to have such a successful recipe and great employees who are always attentive and have a website that appears to be built by a competitor. read more

After Pizza HutT decided that it was going to change its delivery zone and no longer deliver to our house, we decided to fry out Marco's. I love their pizza. Well, I love the toppings! Their old world pepperoni is crispy and delicious. Their Italian sausage is bigger than other pizza places and is juicy and full of flavor. Another good thing is that they are priced very well. I get an XL for $24 with pretty much whatever I want. It also gives great deals through the rewards program. I got 20% off of my order tonight. I use the website to order. Very convenient. The app isn't up to date, but the website works just fine for me. I hope this helps someone else in their decision on what pizza place to order through. read more

The pizza here is pretty good..I like their salads..I did ask today for them to change the TV as both TVs were on same channel on tennis...the person first asked me what I wanted to watch, then he walked away...He came back and said he had to find out what he could put it on..he said he could put it on football..He asked if he that was ok..I told him well I dont like football, but I guess it doesn't matter..he changed it to football and walked away. read more
