Another GREAT experience at this Donatos Pizza!! Casey helped me and she was so sweet and kind! The pizza is AMAZING and so fresh and delicious. Honestly, one of the best pizza places I've ever had (and I am a huge pizza person!). Thanks, Donatos!! read more

Thank you Donatos! In a region overrun with Dominoes (sp?) Pizza places it's nice to have a Donatos nearby! After a day of watching football, the hubs did. It want to cook and I didn't either! Donatos takeout for the win! The pizza was delicious with the focus on the toppings and a thin crust which I love. So many pizza places' crusta are too doughy for my liking. Delicious, hot, fast and accurate! Thanks Donatos! read more

Employees don't know the menu and the restaurant puts religious quotes on the receipt for some reason, which is against the teachings of most religions. Matthew 6:1-4, "not to practice righteousness in front of others." Matthew 6:5-6, "when you pray, go into your room." Romans 14:22, "keep between yourself and god." Good job , I won't go back. read more

I never liked a thin crust until I ate theirs. They made a fabulous pizza, was quick and on time delivery. Only con was the price seemed a bit out of step compared to other pizza places. read more

OMG. Can it be any worse! Jump on the site to order and it shows you 30 minutes. Then order and it shows over an hour. After waiting 90 minutes I call and they say it's on the way. No shit...after 90 k min. I may get it in two hours. Order elsewhere. They suck. Crappy service. Ridiculous waits. Do not order from this Donatos! read more

We frequent this Donatos often for carry out, and the occasional dine in. Inside is always clean and pizza is always hot and fresh. Exceptional customer service e this most recent time. Kid got stuck in traffic so we started eating without her. By the time she got here it was cold. They were super sweet to reheat it for her so it was warm when she arrived. Sweet tea is sweet, not mid. read more

They get a one rating because it doesn't let me do a zero rating. I've eaten there multiple times and tried delivery several times.whatever you order for delivery, they will be out of. They are always out of the gluten free crust and usually out of the cauliflower. The cauliflower crust is pretty bad. The gluten free is decent. Really I've never had better than marginal food there, and typically it's bad with bad service. I'd just advise avoiding it and trying something else for most people. For those of us that require a gluten free diet, just pass it by at all costs. Don't even think about it. No pictures because it really doesn't deserve any. read more

The service here is amazing. I ordered from the website and it didn't capture all my order. When I showed up, the team was quick to fix the problems and was so accommodating they just won me over. Great job team!!! read more

food cold by the time we got it home. pizza had black like it had been overcooked. they forgot our drink; took a 10 minute phone call to get a refund for the drink. how do your workers not double check someone's order when they come in to pay and pickup the order? overpriced and we will not be back. read more

Pros: I ordered a calzone online, then called to request extra sauce. Both of these actions went well, as did the delivery. In fact, the delivery was 20 minutes earlier than estimated, and the delivery gentleman was friendly and professional. Cons: The delivery was to a hotel, and no flatware or napkins were included. The calzone was ok. The crust wasn't like the normal fresh pizza dough I'd expect. It didn't rise. There was plenty of pepperoni inside, but very little mozzarella cheese. No ricotta that I could see. And they put sauce inside, which was odd to me. It wasn't amazing, but it was edible. They could stand to improve this recipe. . read more

I had to repeat my order twice and yet they still didn't make my pizza right. On top of it, I ordered a small and it was $15. And they didn't tell us the price had changed until we noticed it after we paid wondering why we were charged so much. The pizza was the worst pizza I've had in my life next to Totino's. I asked for half cheese and half chicken bruschetta. All they did was take off the top sauce on the other half with all the toppings. And $5 for 2 drinks. That's expensive. With a good attitude, we returned our pizza and they refunded our entire order with a good attitude and even apologized. I was more than OK with paying for what we ate. However, they went above and beyond to refund our order. For that, I am giving them five stars for respect. This place may not be for me but others may still like it. Solid 4 out of 5. Good pizza. I've had better, but I've had lots that wasn't as good too.

Ordered for delivery. Took about an hour and a half to show up. Pizza was good but not $27.00 good for a medium pizza.

My family of 6 ordered several pizzas. We didn't like the recipe they use. They use a sweeter sauce which we aren't partial to & ingredients don't seem very fresh. We got a serious cheese, sausage /mushroom & a sausage, spinach mozzarella. Also they don't deliver to my area even though I live only about 11 mins away & they are very over priced. This pizza seems similar to alfys. so if you like alfys, sweeter sauce & a larger price tag you may like this place. read more

Lunch May 5 Yeah yeah I am a pizza snob and I am extremely biased toward thin crispy crust - toppings to the edge - square cut pizza. SO seeing there was a Donatos Pizza only a few miles off my I-65 journey south, I thought - YES, call it in and go eat some Ohio Style Pizza! This pizza was the exact Donatos from Columbus OH that I know and love. So refreshing to get some pizza like this outside of Ohio. I only hope that those in the Huntsville area are giving this pizza a try as t is going to be different that your normal New York Style pizza you are used to! The Italian Salad complimented my PSO Pizza (that's Pepperoni, Sausage & Onion - for those that don't know) Emma at the front desk was awesome! Keep smiling and being kind, young lady - it will take you far in life! read more

Donatos Pizza - Large Thin Pepperoni Sausage & Onion Pizza with a side Italian salad! YUMMMMM - Pizza Near Me - Madison, Alabama

Very poorly managed and extremely overpriced. With better management/training/policies, they could justify their higher cost. Two basic pizzas will cost you over $30. But the inconsistency of the experience is frustrating. We always order our pizza pie-sliced. Otherwise, they cut it into tiny squares (which might be fine for sharing with a little league team, but really awkward for adults.) It is RARELY cut correctly, in spite of the order taker assuring us that they understood - PIE sliced. When it comes out wrong, the staff never seems to care. They might offer to make you a new one (not always), but that means standing around for 40 minutes or so. (You'll be lowest priority if you go this route. And with the horseplay in the kitchen, you doubt they'll do it right the second time.) We always order "Hand Tossed", which, if you order from their website, apparently defaults to pie-sliced. Even going this route, and adding custom option for pie-sliced, they get it wrong. We make this mistake of giving them another chance every 6 months or so, hoping they've improved. They never do. read more

After attending a graduation ceremony we drove around to see what eateries were open. Hard to believe so many places closed at 10pm on a Saturday night. Happened to see the lights on at this shop and made a U-turn to get there. Since all the other shops were closed there was plenty of parking. When we walked in there were no other customers and it appeared that they were cleaning up. The manager took our order and even gave up an upgrade.. a medium for the price of a small. Our pizza cam out quickly. Service was excellent. Manager and the other staff were friendly. The price was good. Pizza was delicious. Wewould return again. read more

I used to love donatos. Haven't had them in about 8 years. I don't know if they changed vendors on certain ingredients or what. But they don't taste like they used to. But everybody has their own taste. read more

I was in town for an evening graduation. Everything for quick eats was closed by 10pm on a Saturday night. Lucky enough I found this pizza place still open. I got a cheese medium sized pie. The wait wasn't long. Shop was empty so no line because they close at 10:30. Good customer service. The pizza seems like Chicago style deep dish they way the pizza is cut. It's not really thin crust. So maybe between NY style and Chicago style. Fresh pizza and hot! The a good variety of toppings. Seems closer to an authentic pizza place the ones you find across the country. It's inside a shopping plaza and easy to find. Parking there's plenty. That atmosphere is family friendly from I could tell. The place is clean. It's good for small groups. The staff are friendly. I also noticed they offered delivery. I would go back if I'm back in this area. read more

Honestly the worst pizza I have ever had... don't listen to other reviews they're just used to bad Huntsville pizza. The sauce was literal ketchup and I couldn't even eat more than a bite read more

Ordered Donatos last night for delivery and while my overall experience was good, I simply didn't care for the taste. Thin crust pepperoni pizza - arrived a little cold but it was a colder evening. Overall didn't care for the sauce and the pepperoni had no flavor. I will say that this would be a great pizza for picky children. The meatballs - also arrived cold but in contrast to the pizza, the meatballs had great flavor. Asiago garlic cheese twists - I wanted to love these. The flavor was ok but the real problem is that they were completely raw dough. I probably will not order again. read more

You know I really feel bad giving this location a one (1) star rating... In reality it should be a one and one half (1 1/2). The taste, quality and ingredients were without par. However the process to get it was horrific! My spouse called in the order, and upon my arrival to the store I approached the counter and confirmed that my large pie would be easy sauce and cut in regular pizza slices vice small squares. The young lady, who was very friendly assured me that t would be so. I went next door and made some grocery purchases. Upon my return the pizzas were ready, I picked them up and went out to my vehicle. I opened the pies at my truck and regrettably the pies were improperly cut and the requested double toppings were not provided as ordered. I went back in and relayed my concerns. I experienced a whole lot of apologies but my time was ticking away and wasted. Half way through the process I was asked if I wanted the other pizza remade as well? Really? I don't know, you tell me. After spending $30.00 for two (2) pies would you want a pizza that was sitting under a heat lamp for almost 30 mins? NOT HERE. During my wait I saw numerous customers come in and experience a plethora of issues, wrong name on order, wrong order etc... Forty five (45) minutes later I was out the door after what was supposed to be a simple call ahead pick up pizza. Donatos Senior Management I am not telling you how to suck the egg, but I will tell you that your staff is lacking in leadership and guidance which ultimately is affecting the customer experience. I welcome your thoughts if any... read more

Plain and simple review. Their pizza and calzones are grossly overpriced for the quality/size they produce. Ordered a delivery pizza and the middle was undercooked. Mushy dough that fell off when picked up. Calzone was light on topping/filling based on price. Well-below average fast food pizza. read more

You can order a great salad from here. Most pizza places have just lettuce and the salads are bland. They have great flavor and great portions. Mine even had spinach leaves mixed in! Great thin crust pizzas and subs. I think they put a garlic butter on the bread for the subs, which gives it its own unique flavor. Delivery is fast, friendly, and food is always warm. They even called us to let us know we had a $10 off coupon added to our order, just because we are a recent customer. I appreciate the customer service. read more

I've always liked the pizza. The service at this Donato's is almost always poor. Today, I ordered online with a desired pick up time of 7:15. I arrive at 7:20, and the pizza wasn't in the oven yet. read more

Great food but service is nowhere near par. I've been to Donatos twice and both times it's taken 25+ minutes for food, and even people who order 10 minutes after I do get their food way before me. And not to mention it's extremely understaffed. Don't go on lunch hour. P.S. I've actually had to go up to the counter to complain. And it hasn't helped. read more

Donatos Pizza was recommended to my husband and me from our movers who are from south AL. They said if you want New York style pizza this is the place to go. We had a place that we went quite often down the street from our place in Dallas and were hoping Donatos might fill our pizza void. Their large single topping pizzas were about $14.50 but they had a special for a large single topping pizza with either cheesy garlic bread or cinnamon twists for $12.99. Not a bad deal. We got a hand tossed mushroom pizza with the cheesy garlic bread. It was ready when we got there but the cashier seemed to have a bit of trouble finding our order. The food was tasty but not quite what I was expecting for NY style pizza. Maybe we need to try the thin crust instead of hand tossed next time. read more

Order a medium Veggy pizza and it was so good. Toppings were evenly laid out and the crust was good. Order 10pf wings. They were baked well done like I asked but overall they were evenly tossed in the sweet chill sauce. Sweet chilli sauce was not spicy just a bit of a tang. Will be getting again. read more

Been eating there about once a year for the last 15 years. I can tell you from experience that they have not remodeled the interior since the day this place opened! All the pictures on the walls have had all of their colors bleached out by the years and years of exposure to the fluorescent lights. Other than that it's really delicious pizza. I never order the subs or anything like that. Strictly pizza. It's moderately expensive. Which is why I don't eat there but maybe once a year. But it's always good! No complaints. I recommend "The Works" pizza (it's their version of Supreme) read more

Pizza was pretty good, and the staff seemed friendly... but still the service... I ordered in advance online. When I went in to get the pizza I told them the two names it might be under. They then needed the phone number to find the order so I could pay. I sat there for 15 minutes and when I went up and asked for water while I waited they asked for what types of pizzas I ordered again. They needed the names of the types of pizzas after already being given my name, number and the pizza types as I paid earlier. Turns out they were sitting on the counter getting cold the whole time (as I paid they were already sitting there, why didn't you go look at the two pizzas as I paid to see if they were mine? That's what pizza chains do)... Maybe I got someone in training? They did look younger. Friendly but... That is still frustrating. If you see an order that looks like yours, flag someone down and see if it's yours and don't expect them to check. read more
