Read through all the reviews before you go with Marble Systems... You can see lots of quality control issues if you actually read the reviews (which we did not). We ordered marble slab for our kitchen counters. When the marble slabs arrived at the fabricator and were cut into, they were not the thickness that was advertised and so we had to start all over, which caused a meaningful project delay. Most importantly, the manager at Marble Systems took no responsibility for the stone defects, saying that they received it that way "from the factory" and had no way of knowing. No discounts, no apologies, no accountability. Leaving a review so that others don't make the same mistake we did! read more

While the choice of stunning marble can be seen online, words cannot describe the unparalleled customer service that I experienced from Olivia and Melissa! Olivia worked with me tirelessly to find the tile I needed from various stores across the United States, she found them, ordered them, had them shipped to the store and then held them for me until i could drive out and get them. When I forgot a product at the store after paying for it, Melissa drove it out to me so that I didn't have to drive the 1.5 hours rt to get it! She also worked to help me find the correct grout and caulk. I came in today to look at granite slabs in a white/gray tone. I had been at several other distributors and had no problem finding options but I wanted to see what this company offered as my installer recommended them, boasting about their plethora of options. When I walked in, I was a little taken back that every sales associate sat at their desks were not wearing their mask. It made it difficult to walk around the show room to look at tile. When I was paired with an associate to walk through the granite slabs, I told him what type of granite I had been looking at, in which he replied with a scoff "that is now discontinued." This may be true for their place but that is not true for three other locations that I have frequented. As we walked around the warehouse, I felt that he wasn't listening to what I asked for; he showed me slabs that were neither white nor gray. Reminding him of my color preferences, he showed me two more slabs that were located outside, which we viewed through a dirty window. I shook my head at these as well since they did not work with what I was hoping. Having been with him for just under five minutes, he made the comment that everybody wants marble without the marble price and proceeded to comment about another type of stone. I expressed for a third time that I was only interested in granite. I added that if they did not have other options, then I was happy to proceed to a different showroom. Overall I found the representative I was working with to be rude. My recommendation fellow yelpers is to take the drive out toward Chantilly to visit other marble/granite/stone distributors. Not only will you find more options, but you will also find more friendly staff that truly care about their potential customers. read more

I have purchased Tile, Granite and many other products from Marble Systems. I am in love with their choice of designs, products. It's hard to find a supplier with so many options. I love the fact that, they have displays, where you can actually see how the Product will look. It also gives you design ideas. I would recommend working with your contractor and designer. It's not ideal to directly work with Marble Systems as they are a large distributor to many local Granite Fabricators and Tile shops. They have great staff, but it's 100% recommended that you go through your contractor to get the best results. As for their quality and price- you can't beat the choices, quality and price is reasonable. I love their choice of Granite - no shop have that many Granite - In my last visit, Evren Sarac was very helpful and he made great recommendations for our new built home in Vienna. I would recommend Evren for anybody who wants to get personalized service with attention to detail. Remodeling, building is not a fun job, it's for sure stressful and takes lots of organizing, shopping, spending -- be patient with yourself and I am sure you will enjoy the result Best of luck! read more

I've been coming to Marble Systems for years and have purchased various tiles and countertops for my homes throughout that time. It has always been my go-to as they carry beautiful tile and slabs. My most recent experience made me rethink using this company again. Quality control does not exist here. When I received numerous items that were broken or had issues, they gave me a very hard time about replacing them. In fact, they refused to replace some despite their own negligence in inspecting their products. It's a shame that they would make a customer feel bad about wanting a product in new condition that they paid for. This business practice is quite baffling. read more

I found a sample wood-like porcelain at Marble Systems that I loved. Our contractor ordered it to install in our basement; however, when it was delivered, it was not what we had ordered. Luckily I caught the error just as they were preparing to install it. I am not sure what happened because neither the contractor nor the people at Marble Systems would acknowledge the error or take the tile back even with proof of what I had requested (in an email). I told the contractor that I would go out to Marble Systems and bring back the sample so we could compare them, and weirdly when I arrived, the people at Marble Systems seemed to be expecting me and the sample I had been interested in was no longer available. There seemed to be some sort of deal between the contractor and Marble Systems. In the end, the contractor did acknowledge the error with a credit, but Marble Systems made no efforts. My best guess is that they were trying to clear inventory somehow. read more

I must break my "never write bad reviews" rule to share about my immensely frustrating and unprofessional experience with Marble Systems in Fairfax. The positive is that Marble Systems carries gorgeous slabs and tiles in their massive Fairfax warehouse. The owner Zuhtu has a keen eye for high quality and beautiful natural stone products. In the past, it was my "go to" for anything natural stone. Early last spring, I ordered honed Carrara tiles for my primary bathroom as part of a large scale addition and remodel. I splurged on these tiles for my forever, dream bathroom. Jose helped me in the showroom and placed my order. I was very specific in my email detailing my request to ensure no mistakes were made and that the tile would arrive on my builder's preferred timeline, so I wouldn't delay the project. When the tile arrived, I immediately discovered Jose had erroneously ordered polished Carrara tile rather than honed for my bathroom. Febrina, one of the managers, took over when it was discovered no honed tile was available in any of their warehouses. Febrina, on behalf of Zuhtu and Marble Systems, offered to have the tiles honed at their expense. An associate of Marble Systems honed the tile for $1000, which I paid. When I followed up with Febrina about reimbursement, she was "on vacation" then she "had to look into it" then she "was really short staffed." I extended months of grace and waited patiently to receive my $1000 check from Marble Systems. I've been ghosted all summer and feel I must warn other potential customers about Marble Systems that careless mistakes are made and not resolved in a professional manner. We all make mistakes. I believe in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt and opportunity to make things right. Marble Systems failed to fulfill their promise in this matter. It's not only deeply disappointing but dishonest as well. read more

I have never experienced worse customer service. I had the misfortune of going to Marble Systems on several different occasions, largely because the fabricator we were going to use is located nearby and Marble Systems is their main supplier. Instead, I would recommend Dal-tile. They have a large selection of granite and tile, and actually appreciate their customers. Staff at Marble Systems act like they are doing you a favor and don't seem to realize it is their job to assist people. My guess is that because they distribute to large hotels and businesses, they could care less about individual buyers and will give you an attitude and make you wait, regardless of whether they are busy or not. When I went to get some design help for a backsplash during the week in the middle of the day, the receptionist was adamant that I needed an appointment, despite the fact that a designer was available. She assured me the designer had been in a consultation for two hours and so could not wait on me for 15 minutes, unless I had an appointment. It didn't matter that I wanted to ask a few brief questions as I was on my lunch hour and couldn't spend hours at the warehouse. I ended up going to Mosaic Tile down the street and they were friendly and helped me in no time and had a pretty good selection. Don't waste your time here. read more

Did I get a good deal? Yeah, it was ok. About 10% less than other local specialty show rooms. Worth it? Probably not. My purchase was stamped as a final sale supposedly because the tile was special order. This is ridiculous because it was the tile that was in stock in their warehouse. Nonetheless this was enough firepower for the company to refuse to deal with a request for return or exchange. If you are a professional in the industry and can talk them into some flexibility, certain salespersons were willing to give about 30% discount off a marked up price tag. If you know what you absolutely need, it's probably ok. But as a homeowner with a small project this is a big risk with horrible customer service (called the salesman the day after purchase and never got a response to my voicemail). Disappointed. Those reviews on google are inflated probably by family and friends. read more

I worked with Angie and she quickly understood my design concept for a master bath and made insightful suggestions that improved upon the design. She is a quick study, extremely experienced, very conscious of my price point and I felt I was in exceptionally skillful hands. Strange customer service technique - ignore the customer and become annoyed when customer asks for help.

They are very accommodating when trying to sell you something but after the sale they are too busy to answer questions or return phone calls. Was told if a box of tile was unopened it could be returned...unfortunately they only give you 10 days. Seems a waste to not be able to return something that someone else could use. I went to Marble Systems for granite and a backsplash in July. I had excellent customer service when we bought the granite (which was on the expensive side.) I received a quote for the 1st set of tile we looked at (around $1600.) As we finished the kitchen, we decided we wanted a simpler (and less expensive) backsplash. I went back to Marble Systems and found things we liked, but since September I have not been able to get a quote from them. I've called, emailed, etc. Someone always says, "We'll get a quote by the end of the day" but it never happened. I finally found the tile I wanted, ordered it online (for MUCH less) and had it delivered to my home in 4 days. I am not sure if the customer service was so bad because our project was too inexpensive for them. I did spend many thousands of $ on granite and was prepared to spend another $1000 on tile. I guess they just didn't need that business. I gave them 2 stars instead of one because they do have beautiful tile and granite. Just be warned if you have a smaller project. read more
