She easily handled my order checking for nearest retail center and warehouse. She worked with me on delivery dates and followed my order throughout the process! Horrible!!!! What you order is not going to be what you receive. Be ready to be disappointed if you shop here. While the service at the store was nice..... However, our experience since has been disappointing, to say the least. (images attached for support). Buyer beware... Shop at your own risk... To this day, we have not even received an apology. No ownership of the mistake, they have taken no responsibility. Shady business. We notified the tile shop that one of our boxes of tiles arrived damaged. Justin responded stating that they would be sending a replacement. We never received the replacement so they essentially provided fewer items than we needed. In addition, we live in Miami and ordered the tiles while we were out of town. Our contractor installed the tiles. When we got home we learned that the tile they sent was not what we ordered. It looks HORRIBLE!!!!!! The Tile Shop is taking Zero responsibility and stating that installation is an acknowledgment of acceptance. So, two issues here, all in one order. 1) Item arrived damaged and was never replaced. 20 Wrong item shipped and Tile shop is washing their hands like its not my fault that you order Glossy and received flat. read more

I took bathroom measurements to the tile shop in Tysons Corner besides the Starbucks on Leesburg Pike. The person calculated how much floor tile, wall tile, and marble base would be required. The floor tile calculations were off by 2 boxes and we were 2 boxes short. Calculation for marble base was also off by one box, but I had an extra. It is important to note all of these items are still in stock in their inventory. My contractor was delayed in starting the project due to health concerns. The contractor sent me to the tile shop to get 2 more boxes of floor tile and to return the extra box of marble base. They refused to return the marble base stating it had been over 6 months since purchase. Had the tile shop correctly calculated the needed materials I would not have had the further delay in finishing the bathroom or had the overage. We are now waiting for the floor to arrive at this location. I determined that the shortage of tile must have arisen out of the square footage calculation fo the tub and believe he subtracted the tub twice. The manager Sal Shahidi apparently directed the staff to not assist this customer. I would not recommend dealing with this store manager at all, and would encourage you to go to other tile shop locations. read more

The tile here is beautiful. But they don't have much in stock. If you go to the Tile Shop in Rockville they have a lot more in stock. The down side is that if you buy tile from one, and you have extra, you can't return at the other. It's an inconvenience if you are hurrying trying to get a job done- and super annoying - but the tile looks noce read more

I can't say enough good things about the Tile Shop, particularly Trena and Nate with the Wisconsin Ave NW store in DC. They had spot on advice in terms of color and style for tile and grout. This was particularly when it came to trying to coordinate with the existing subway tile and vanity in our bathroom. More importantly, when we ran short on tile near the end of installation, they moved heaven and earth to get us the needed pieces. Quickly. (BTW, good thing we followed Trena's advice to order a little extra in the first place or a few extra tiles wouldn't have been all we needed). This on the Friday afternoon before Labor Day weekend. Honestly, of all the decisions we made doing this bathroom refresh, using the Tile Shop instead of a big box home improvement retailer was the best one. Thank you! Allison read more

The treatment I received at the shop today was nothing short of astonishing. I received a catalogue in the mail from the tile shop and as a result of this mailing, I identified 2 possible options I wanted to purchase for my home. I was willing and planning to spend around 5k today on both back splash and tiling. I was the only person in the store for several minutes and tile shop employee never acknowledged me nor bothered to look up from what I believe to be a magazine she was reading. When I confronted her around this she rudely and sarcastically stated. "Yah, I saw you, what do you want". I would never spend a dime in this store. I do not expect an employee to cater to my every need but I also do not expect an employee of a store to be sarcastic, snarky and offensive. I ended up taking my money to Lowe's and got some pretty amazing tile and really good service. read more

I was welcomed into the store by an older gentleman at the register. I was looking for dark brown tile. He pointed out various tiles in that category. Suddenly I was on my own. He just simply left me in one of the hallways. My leader had disappeared. Guess I wasn't ordering enough tile to encourage him to stay with me. Ick. read more

The Tile Shop has an excellent selection of tiles and nice showrooms but their product is expensive (even after the 25 percent discount that they offer contractors). In addition, the stores don't carry a lot of inventory so often there is a wait of a week or two. An excellent alternative source of tile is Floor & Decor, which carries much larger inventories in their stores. read more

Extraordinarily poor service. I visited this location several times for a bathroom job: Visit 1: guy just starred at us but didn't offer to help. He just ignored us and then walked to the lower level. Had to ultimately go looking for a sales associate. Visit 2: purchased tiles and asked for the discount associated with my contractor. He couldn't find the right name so he just gave wrong % which was obviously lower. Visit 3/Call: ordered some items over the phone for my contractor to pick up. I confirmed they were available before payment. Obviously when he showed up 1 hour later they weren't in the shop. Visit 4: placed an order for 3 marble slabs about 4 ft each. One of them was deeply scratched and the sales associate just shrugged like it was business as usual. Do you normallly sell damaged goods? What if we hadn't checked each piece? Visit 5: refused to take in less than 30 sq ft of tile as a return. While I understand this is a small location, given the small quantity of return, it was ridiculous for them to make me go all the way to Rockville. Just because you are in DC, it doesn't entitle you to provide bad customer service and attitude. There are so many more options out in VA/MD with better selection/knowledge/service. read more

Excellent product, very responsive staff, able to deliver quickly. My experience here was first-rate. I was amazed how quickly they could get the product to me. They don't have a huge range of choices of things that can be delivered quickly, but what they do have is of good quality and looks great. Also, the showroom has quite a few installed bathroom/shower displays so that you can easily imagine what at least some of the products will look like. Customer service top notch. I would advise anyone looking for tile to at least check out this place. read more

I recently utilized the Tile Shop on Wisconsin Ave. to order the tile for our bathroom renovation..(we gutted it) We have a 1922 bungalow so wanted to get something consistent with the style but of course updated. Once you start trying to determine what you want ... it can be overwhelming...so many styles and textures to choose from. Enter the store manager, Shu-nan Chu, he was incredibly helpful, asked me basic likes/dislikes and then started mixing and matching .. floor tile, wall tile, shower floor tile until we came up with a great set of tiles. That's not the best part of my experience however... when the tiles arrived, the wall tiles, while the correct serial #, were different from the samples .. not as glossy or shaped as I had hoped ... I called Shu-nan... no problem! He called the warehouse and tracked down another lot # and had the worker inspect them, sent pictures and felt good that these were more as I had hoped. Done... Shu nan himself came and took the first order back ...all 30 boxes loaded himself, and reordered the new lot #. We got the new ones 2 days later... great delivery... they gave us a window and called before. WOW!!!! Then Shu-Nan called to make sure I had gotten the order and was happy!! What??? This place is fantastic ... can't say enough wonderful things, and it's not just Shu Nan who is great.. I had to add to our order and ask some technical questions when he was away and Daihanna took over...easy as could be ..it was all placed under the same job # so no confusion! This place is busy but worth the wait!!! I recommend it to everyone with a tile project .. you won't be disappointed!!! read more

The Tile Shop is the Best place to buy tile in DC. I stopped by to see their selection of tile for two bathrooms I'm having redone. The showroom has a huge selection of tiles, displays and choices. I was really looking for specific tile to show off the bathroom and they had exactly what I wanted and then some. Like another review on Yelp I had the same experience with Shu-nan who is the manager of the store. His assistance working together with me sold me, I feel like it's been years since I've had the type of customer service that was provided. I really appreciated all of his help, pulling tile, offering lots of options and various price ranges. I'm sure there are other people at the store who are also great to work with. I love this store and will go back, highly recommended. They also have parking right behind the store, very convenient! I'll post pics once the installers have completed the work, can't wait. read more

I went into the Tile Shop having a general idea of what I wanted, but having never renovated anything before, needed some help. Shu-nan helped me pick everything out that I needed. He gave me really good advice and was patient with all of my questions. My project was a little harder because it was in a different state, but Shu-nan could not have been more helpful. Further, he has been incredibly responsive to my emails and calls since I made the purchase. The store has really beautiful and high quality items. You may pay a little more, but the expertise that their staff holds is well worth the cost. Highly recommend this store and Shu-nan in particular. read more

After my visit yesterday, I would describe The Tile Shop as a local business without a sense of what service means. I wanted to look at tiling options for two bathrooms that I am renovating for a client. While the displays are good, but not imaginative, I found the man in the store treated me as if I were invisible--even though I walked past him twice. He was in an intense telephone conversation and just ignored me, despite my attempts to catch his attention. So I left. Perhaps this young man should learn that the ability to buy does not always announce itself with a Gucci or YSl bag or only with those under 35 years. First visit is my one and only visit to The tile store. read more

Very happy to redo our basement with so much support from the Tile Shop on Wisconsin Ave. This crew here is The Tile Shop's best. Shuh-Nan Chu and Diana Valladares are really great, well-informed sales people-- and not high pressure. They work to get you not only the best price and longterm value possible but also see you through to the very end of the project-- when you are returning all of the extra material that you did not end up using. We had stopped in Home Depot, and when it became clear that the cost would be the same, we returned to the Tile Shop. THANK GOODNESS. We needed A LOT more guidance than we originally anticipated especially as the process continued... Our contractor made some of the tiled spaces larger... we needed to order extra tile... Our contractor changed the spacing between the tiles... we need MORE tile... We needed different grout... I could probably go on. Shuh-Nan and Diana did not even blink, and they spent quite a lot of time on the phone sourcing the stuff. I highly recommend THIS location. I had to go pick up materials from the other warehouse/salesrooms and it is clear that Tenleytown is the place to begin your consult and place your order. I will be recommending this place to friends. And, Shuh-Nan and Diana had better be there for the next two rooms we need to redo! read more
