My card is active and good; the guy behind me paid cash (I had none) and the two cars in the lane closest to the station used their cards and went on their merry way. No one from the station came out and it was raining , so I didn't want to take any more time and get wet to try to walk over to get any help when all pumps should be working. If not, signs should be displayed. Very disappointing and since I often start on the road earlier than 9, I don't have he time to mess with staff to keep their pumps operational for all. Apparently because I was using a credit card. But the credit card price wasn't displayed anywhere I could see. Second, no receipt came out. A common occurrence at busy gas stations; the paper runs out. But the office was closed because I guess it was too late, so I couldn't get a receipt. This wouldn't have mattered that much except that they put a hundred dollar preauth hold on my credit card. I spent about $35, so this is a massive difference -- and it's lowered the amount of credit I have available. What if someone used their debit card and didn't have $100 in their account? They'd get overdrawn by this place. Multiple shady practices going on. Do not recommend.

All the employees watched this $575 ice cream transaction with a smirk. It was disgusting, knowing 3 other people who had similar situation did not even get asked for any money at all by the gas station management. While a very excessive amount of $575 was demanded from me. I believe it is due to me not looking like the employees and owner. I was regular customer for several years since I live 2 min from the gas station. But this demand for $575 cash was such disgusting, transparent exploitation and I am so disappointed in them as business and as people. No way in hell will I ever stop by for Gatorade or gas ever again on principle. I used to stop in 2-3x week. Never again. I am letting others know about this experience because it says so much about the character of the management and owner and was so different from what others experienced in this same exact situation.
