When I raised the impact this had on my day and income, the response I received was: "We apologize. There's nothing else we can do." That response says everything. No accountability, no attempt to make it right -- just a complete disregard for a customer's time. If appointments can't be honored, don't book them. And if a business causes this level of disruption, the bare minimum should be taking responsibility and offering a solution. With new ownership in place, this experience reflects very poorly on how the business is being run. I won't be returning, and I would strongly suggest others think twice before trusting this shop with their time.

My vehicle stayed in their shop for 4 days, and after the inspection they told me that my driver-side lower control arm was broken and that the thermostat needed replacement. They charged me $3,600, but never provided any proof, photos, or explanation showing that the arm was actually broken. They also refused to give me the parts invoice, never showed the cost of the parts they used, and provided no breakdown at all. They charged me $2,200 just for labor, yet this job normally takes around 3 hours, not multiple days. When I asked for labor rate, time, or details, they didn't provide anything. The whole process felt unprofessional, unclear, and extremely overpriced. The worst part is that after I picked up my car, it had even bigger problems than before. The vehicle started having new issues immediately, and now I have to take it to another certified Mercedes mechanic to fix whatever was done to it. I honestly have no idea what they did to my car, but the quality of work seems extremely poor. I am very disappointed and strongly warn anyone with a high-end vehicle: do not trust this shop with your car. They provided no transparency, no proof, no proper documentation, overcharged for labor, and returned my car in worse condition than it arrived.

Updating my review…read more Still coming to Chase and his team at Gate Avenue Service - I think we've brought 4 vehicles here now over 10 years. First and most importantly, Chase and his team are honest and hard working. They are extremely busy but always make time to diagnose and give second opinions. They have saved me money and given me solid advice multiple times when dealerships were leaving me astray. Most recently Chase and his team helped me to advocate (aka fight) Hyundai to get a replacement on my engine. Chase provided me all the documentation that Hyundai required not once, but twice, and in paper and in e-mail after Hyundai "misplaced" it. Chase did both of these requests same day. Chase has seen me at my worst (in tears) completely overwhelmed with car stress (and I don't speak car) and also completely flustered trying to explain what felt off with my vehicle when I seriously was not describing it well. The team at Gate is always courteous and treat me and all the customers I have ever seen with respect. The only limitation or downside with Gate is that they are really busy - and for good reason! So you may have to wait a bit for an appointment but they will always treat you right! PS They offer a program to store your tires for you! Brought to Mercedes shop with their quote and both items were not required. They (mercedes) showed me clearly the leak only caused by breather cover gaskets.
