The jasmine green tea was soothing and warming and I got the tea almost right away after ordering, which was nice and quick.

Pastries were great! We had a cheese danish and a blue Berry muffin to go with a White Chocolate Mocha Iced Latte! The mapps coffee shop is located in the midtown global market... the market is a quaint market with lots of vendors! The service was great!

I've been to Mapps a few times over the past couple years and top of mind is definitely the service! They're so nice and friendly. I also think the overall cafe has a great feel, very home-y, and well thought out. Not cookie cutter which works well with Midtown Global Market, such a unique place! Prices are realistic and they have a wide array of offerings! This fall, they've got a hazelnut drink that I have my eye on, will need to try it on my next visit!

I stopped by here this past Sunday with my wife for an afternoon pick me up. Mapps is located inside the midtown market and so is more of a food stand than anything else. Even so their counter has multiple bags of coffee for sale and they even have a coffee roaster. Whether or not its operational or decoration is another question but it looked pretty cool. Since it was almost 100 degrees outside, I forewent my usual Americano and went straight to an iced coffee. It was ready within a minute or two and I gave it a try. The coffee here was alright with the initial taste being good but I really disliked the finish which put out a staleish taste. Thankfully I was able to add some half and half which made the drink smoother and cut out that taste. The bottom line for me is that I might head back here again in the future but only in a pinch. While I didn't think that the coffee from here was great, it wasn't horrible either.

My favorite Minneapolis coffee! Soy cappuccino was amazingly creamy and delicious! I wish Mapps were half as prevalent as Starbucks, or Starbucks tasted even half as good as Mapps. Just gives me more incentive to get myself over here, because it is totally worth the trek for every yummy sip.

    Apple turn over

Mapps Coffee is located inside the Midtown Global Market- so if you work in the area or are visiting the market it is convenient and a good option for a little pick me up. I went there wanting just a quick cup of coffee but because of the $5 min purchase with card (which was annoying to me but whatever), I ended up ordering a medium iced vanilla latte with almond milk and an apple turn over, my total was about $7. The drink was good- not too sweet but I would have liked a stronger coffee taste. The apple turnover was delicious but definitely very sweet. The service was fast, as my drink came out pretty quickly but unfriendly- the older lady who helped me seemed annoyed that I wasn't too sure on what I wanted even when there was only two people behind me who were not sure either and was friendly to let me go first.

This is becoming my new favorite coffee spot. This is my third time here and each time I've left very satisfied. It's located in the midtown global market, I work across the street from and usually go before I start work. They don't open until 6:30am but they always serve me and other customers before they open (usually 10-15 minutes before they open) which is very nice. The staff is very friendly. I usually get the white chocolate mocha and one of their pastries. The white chocolate mocha is just as good as Starbucks but cheaper! The iced caramel frappe is also delicious. If your looking for good coffee that's not gonna cost you and arm and a leg I recommend giving this place a try.

NOT a friendly vibe and a poor fit with the rest of the Midtown Market. The sign lists drinks by Small, Medium and Large for 2 espresso shots , 3 and 4. And priced for the 3 sizes. But when I went today, the small Big Bang , listed under 2 shots (see attached picture, was not $2.25 but 3.25. I was told the sign was incorrect and that smalls were only a single espresso shot. 2 shots would be an additional dollar. I pointed out that the sign listed the drink as 2 shots and told that the sign did not matter. Yes I was reading it right, they said, as they laughed at me. But the sign was wrong. We went around a bit, the clarity of the sign vs the particularly of that drink. I never tried their coffee but it did take a while to regain equilibrium from this Trumpian experience.

Awesome place inside Midtown Global Market! I had to go to the MN DVS which is in the basement of this building, and I stopped at Mapps after to get my coffee and danish fix. I sat at one of the nearby tables for a bit reading and the area isn't noisy during the day so I enjoyed it. Coffee here is definitely for those on-the-go but feel free to sit for a few minutes! The espresso mocha I had was delicious and as was the cheese danish.

The drink itself wasn't my favorite, but that's because it had mint in it and I am not a huge mint in my drinks person (unless it's peppermint tea), so that was totally on me. I just got too excited about themed drink. But besides the mint it was good and huge! Price is a little steep and they charge extra for alt milks, which is fair but always a bummer for my lactose intolerant ass.

I know firsthand that coffee is king in Panama, so I figured anything inspired by their incredible coffee culture had to be worth trying. I visited Curioso on an early Sunday morning and immediately found it special. Not just for its coffee, but for the ambiance, service, and overall vibe. Curioso is a large, welcoming space that's part coffee bar, part brewery. I was immediately impressed by the variety of entertainment for all ages: arcade games, pool tables, dart boards, a skee-ball machine, board games, and even claw machines. Seating options are abundant, from cozy couches to tables and high-tops. There's a toddler play area and a library filled with books for all ages. The space feels family-friendly and is warm, welcoming community gathering space for all. I noticed flyers for free community events Curioso hosts, like Sunday Morning Yoga and Tuesday Trivia nights. The service was equally warm! The barista, although managing a busy Sunday morning solo, took her time to explain coffee options, highlight weekly specials with her own recommendations, and describe the pastries in partnership with Fruit & Grain and Bagels from St. Paul Bagelry. Oat milk is the standard for all their drinks! (Which I loved) We tried two speciality lattes: the "Butter Luck Next Year" (iced) and the "Blue Ribbon Peach Pie" (hot). Both were exceptional! Strong, robust, and delicious. Alongside, we also enjoyed an "Everything" handpie and a "Blueberry Lemon Curd" pop tart. Both pastries were out of this world delicious! I loooooved this pairing. I'm a sucker for savory, so the "Everything" handpie reigned supreme for me. Although I don't have a fur-baby (yet), I would like to include that Curioso is fur-friendly. I ordered one of their seasonal specials--the banana cream pie latte. It was very good. The ambiance was OK. Smaller seating area and located in a strip mall. Although my drink was good it wasn't necessarily something to write home about. I might come here again if in the area and in need of a coffee, but probably not a place I will necessarily seek out.

Minimal decor, unfinished flooring, and no truly cozy seating made it feel less like a place you'd want to settle into for a while. While they encourage people to linger and don't offer Wi-Fi (which I respect), the ambiance doesn't quite support that intention. It felt more like a quick in-and-out stop, even though that doesn't seem to be their goal. The atmosphere was chill, with vinyl records playing in the background, which was a nice touch.
