Dined at the Maple Tree Supper Club the other evening; will say good food, and great value for the money. The service was fast & friendly with a Wisconsin Supper Club vibe. I would add that although MTSC has been around since 1950, the interior is quite updated with a much 'newer' feel that some of the olde school places your grandparents might have attended that haven't been remodeled since Mary Tyler Moore was on TV ;)

Probably the best Supper Club we have been to. They do not take reservations on the weekend but the staff keeps things moving so the wait isn't too bad. They have a salad bar that seems to be a favorite. I had the fish fry and my daughter had the breasted chicken. Of course Cheese Curds were our choice of appetizer. We always go when I am in Wisconsin and definitely would recommend.

After doing a Yelp search for supper clubs, the Maple Tree popped up in our route so we said what the heck. When we arrived we were met by a very large, very full parking lot. Not a good start. Made it inside and the host said it was only about a 1/2 wait which was quite surprising. Found two seats at the bar and started our night. Bartender was very nice and made really good old fashions. We had a sweet brandy and a whiskey sour old fashions and the were on par with any other big name supper clubs. I was alittle skeptical at first since it really didn't have the old school supper club look, but I soon found out, looks are deceiving! Got our booth in about the 1/2 hour we were told and had an amazing server who greeted us with, "Are you ready for supper yet?" First time ever I'd heard that at a supper club! She was wonderful, funny and took excellent care of us! As for the food, the pictures show everything there is to say. Very good, nice size helping and a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

My very first Wisconsin supper club. This place was ab absolute gem, and I'd love to go back. We waited about 15 minutes since we went after the main rush. We had a friendly server that was friendly, quick, and efficient. She was absolutely busting her butt waiting on tables. 2 of us ordered broasted chicken special, and the third ordered ribs and chicken. Mashed potatoes and baked potatoes on the side. The salad bar was great, and it had pickled beets, which are hard to find! I loved the homemade croutons, and the soups were fantastic! We also had pink squirrels and a grasshopper for drinks. The restaurant is no frills but cozy and inviting.

Honestly felt more like a normal restaurant than a supper club. Service good and food decent; nothing bad to say but nothing really stood out either, besides the salad bar having fresher greens than most places.

The steak had a very odd aftertaste to it unfortunately. The lobster was fine - not the best but not the worst.

Brandy Alexander - fit for a spoon :)

I've been wanting to come here for so long, and finally made it for a Friday night fish fry! We came early so that we could get a seat reasonably quickly. I think we arrived around 4:30pm and were seated by 5:30pm or so. We grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited for our table. The bar space is large and has a decent amount of seating and standing room. Once seated I ordered the cod fish fry (no brainer) which came with a soup/salad bar (love this, it brings me back to childhood) and potato plus yummy bread. They had a light breading option which was definitely a hit. I enjoyed my food and we had great service. I don't frequently order dessert, but I am a sucker for a brandy alexander if they can make it to a thick consistency requiring a spoon to eat it. And Maple Tree delivered. Our server explained that the thicker it was the lighter they had to go on the alcohol, but that's fine because ice cream is delicious. I cannot wait to go back and order another one.

For certain the name implies it's like a hangout. There's a pretty casual atmosphere along with a few TVs for watching games or something. Amazing it wasn't too busy. It's really not a big place so there's not much room. There were a few seats at the bar so we sat there. Pretty impressive menu. So many choices for vegans and vegetarians. It's about $6 for the cocktail specials, so check the menu board. The best of these is the Long Island 52, which is a pretty standard one. It's about $6 for tacos, which are the small street style you can eat in a few bites. We got some of the Herbivore Tacos. Has black beans, roasted corn, and vegan versions of chorizo and sriracha aioli. It's about $12 for nachos. These are loaded with tons of toppings. For sure it's got a lot to choose from. It's located on Brink Street close to the Metra station. There's lots of things for vegans and vegetarians.

We arrived at a Friday night at 6:15 PM as people are being turned away because they did not have reservations. We were seated quickly and our wonderful server, Melina, greeted us with a big smile and brought us waters. She was terrific and helped us choose the prime rib sliders with the mushroom risotto and I had the walleye with the cauliflower smash. He also ordered two side Caesar salads, which were fresh and delicious. Our service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We were very happy with our decision to come here. So much so that we made reservations for the next night as we were leaving the restaurant. The second night we had Samantha and she was equally a terrific server. It's some of the best customer service we've had with these two ladies. I love the cauliflower mash, and wish I could figure out how to make it! However, once we got over that hump, the service was pretty good, especially as a few larger tables cleared out. I had the mahi mahi fish tacos. They were pretty good. Definitely larger than I was expecting. It has definitely been a long while since I've had mahi mahi, so it was a bit of an adjustment on my part. To be honest, I didn't really notice the jicama, and I'm sure you could mistake it for carrots or any other mild root vegetable. The chili lime vinaigrette was where it was at though. Wasn't too sweet, spicy, or sour. I thought it had a really nice balance of flavors. I chose the potato dippers as my side, and those were different. They're like a mix between a potato chip and steak fries. They didn't taste bad or anything, it was just for me, they were a bit to soft texturally to be considered a "fry." My fellow diners both had the Spring Buddha Bowls. They seemed to be enjoyed. There was a comment made about the peanut sauce having a bit more spicy kick than expected, but it seemed as it was a good contrast to the sweet cherry tomatoes and corn. Overall, a very nice restaurant whose acoustics seemed to be better than what they appeared to be, i.e. I was able to hear what the others at my table were saying. Overall, the service and food was good enough that I would consider visiting again, and recommending it has a place to people visiting the area.
