One of my avocado toasts. They're not messing around with this toast!

I love the new location! I hadn't been to Luke's in years, and I believed they moved a few blocks closer into town, still off of Hwy 51. It is in a strip mall so there is still a parking lot. The new space is bright, sunny, and airy and has a lovely atmosphere. There are booths and tables, as well as a small bar toward the back (I don't think they have a liquor license, so maybe a "counter" would be a better term?). I was told by a local to sit toward the back in the winter because the cold air tends to rush in. Our server was super nice, and for a Thursday afternoon the place was pretty crowded, which I love to see at small local businesses! Also, I love (LOVE) any place that allows me to get weekday breakfast later in the day. I ordered the avocado toast special. I'd been debating between that and the usual breakfast I order everywhere of scrambled eggs, potatoes, and toast. I'm usually underwhelmed by avocado toast out at restaurants as I find them bland and unfilling. But I saw a photo of the Luke's avocado toast and it was calling to me. And oh my word it did not disappoint. I will always order this. It was amazing. It was not just a small plate of a piece of toast with avocado etc on it like you often see overpriced at other breakfast spots. This was two sizeable pieces of avocado toast and each had an egg to your style on top. And then there were hashbrowns in the middle of the two pieces of toast on my plate. For a very reasonable price! I was starving when I came here, and I rarely leave breakfast leftovers. However, I was full. I managed to eat a full avocado toast and the hashbrowns. I had to bring the second avocado toast home. The toast itself was delicious, and actually had lovely flavor to it with the feta and pico. This might be one of my new favorite breakfasts. I came here with a friend who has to eat gluten free, and she said this is one of the few places nearby where she can get gluten free pancakes. The "side" gluten free pancakes that came out were absolutely enormous, too. She tried a bite just to taste it, and said they were delicious. The rest had to go home with her for later as the omelet filled her up. I did like the way they tri-folded their omelets on the plate. I'm not typically an omelet person, and I don't know if I'll be able to pass up the avocado toast next time, but the omelet looked good and I'd consider trying the veggie omelet for sure! Highly recommend checking Luke's out in their new location and deciding for yourself.

Ordered takeout thru Doordash for some brekky in bed this morning while my husband and I watch some Sunday morning football! Our skillets hit the spot. Luke's is a classic breakfast joint and never disappoints!

We were impressed with fresh ingredients and modern presentation of comfort food. The staff was friendly and kept our coffee cups filled! I'm tempted to add a wall mural opposite the windows to funkify the restaurant's vibe.

Quaint local owned cafe inside an old Dairy Queen building. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Service is friendly and quick, and food is hot and tasty. Parking lot needs repaying, but restaurant does not own the property so that's the landlord's fault. Great place to support a small business!

I'm sure when it first opened, it was phenomenal. I drive past it everyday and finally stopped for breakfast. It's in an old fast food building, and it appears they did some remodeling to make it very homey inside. It's quaint, lots of booths along the outer walls, but some tables in the middle... not a ton of space for larger parties. However, somewhere down the line, none of that was kept up. I found ants on my table, so I checked the floor, it was CAKED with gunk. Booths had rips all over them. Food was good, but I literally never saw my server after that. I had to flag down the person who had just gotten there to try and settle my bill. I've tried it, I'm good.

Breakfasts items we're great, large portions and service was quick. Coffee came right away, mix-ins on the the table and refills were frequent. Place was packed and you can tell it's got a regular crowd. Decent prices on food. Comfortable dining room seating, but a little tight. Bathrooms can use a major upgrade. Flooring was like an old Hardee's or McDonald's.

Very welcoming! And every meal we've enjoyed here is above and beyond -- often enough for leftovers, twice.

It was very loud with people talking, due to the small space. We sat at our table and waited awhile for a server, but didn't know if we needed to order at the bar. After a while, a waitress arrived to take our order. She was very joyful and friendly. We both ordered the walleye and eggs, which included hashbrowns and toast. My husband added cheese and onions on the hashbrowns at no extra cost. We also ordered a Bloody Mary, which came with a chaser. They arrived with a spear of mozzarella cheese, pimento olive, smoked sausage, and a dill pickle. The walleye had a nice thin crust and the eggs and hashbrowns were cooked perfectly. My better half said that he didn't taste any onions in the hashbrowns and they used American cheese, which made them runny. It was a good breakfast, and we enjoyed our time there. However, due to the loudness, we probably won't go back, as it was hard to have a conversation. Be aware that they only take cash, but they do have an ATM in the building. This establishment definitely had a great atmosphere and service, with friendly staff.

We tried about two months ago on a Sunday and there was quite a line so we tried somewhere else new to us. It was worth the trip back here! Marigold is a really cute place inside. We noticed there was a steady flow of customers and the tables turned over at a decent pace so maybe we should have stood in line last time around. Hard to know sometimes. We ordered the breakfast burrito, avocado toast and buttermilk pancakes. Service was quick and friendly. The pancakes were fluffy and they looked good. The atmosphere is fine, but for picky eaters, it's a no go. Nothing against the restaurant, their food is just a little too niche and we're unable to make common substitutes or additions. I just wish the had a kids menu section with 2 items that where super simplified and came in kid friendly utensils etc

We arrived at a Friday night at 6:15 PM as people are being turned away because they did not have reservations. She was terrific and helped us choose the prime rib sliders with the mushroom risotto and I had the walleye with the cauliflower smash. He also ordered two side Caesar salads, which were fresh and delicious. Our service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We were very happy with our decision to come here. However, once we got over that hump, the service was pretty good, especially as a few larger tables cleared out. I had the mahi mahi fish tacos. They were pretty good. Definitely larger than I was expecting. It has definitely been a long while since I've had mahi mahi, so it was a bit of an adjustment on my part. To be honest, I didn't really notice the jicama, and I'm sure you could mistake it for carrots or any other mild root vegetable. The chili lime vinaigrette was where it was at though. Wasn't too sweet, spicy, or sour. I thought it had a really nice balance of flavors. I chose the potato dippers as my side, and those were different. They're like a mix between a potato chip and steak fries. They didn't taste bad or anything, it was just for me, they were a bit to soft texturally to be considered a "fry." My fellow diners both had the Spring Buddha Bowls. They seemed to be enjoyed. There was a comment made about the peanut sauce having a bit more spicy kick than expected, but it seemed as it was a good contrast to the sweet cherry tomatoes and corn. Overall, a very nice restaurant whose acoustics seemed to be better than what they appeared to be, i.e. I was able to hear what the others at my table were saying. Overall, the service and food was good enough that I would consider visiting again, and recommending it has a place to people visiting the area.
