BJORN IS A LIFESAVER. The bolt on the lock to my apartment had been sticking for a few weeks when I locked it from the outside, and today the inevitable happened and I couldn't get in. After a few hours of roaming the U District looking for WD-40 and endlessly jiggling the lock, I called several locksmiths. Maple Leaf was the second call I made. When I finally got one guy on the phone, he started giving me a long series of base rates for coming out, looking at the lock, diagnosing the problem, possibly drilling it out, etc. Bjorn called me back at the tail end of the litany. Maple Leaf Locksmith answered my text within seconds. He first tried to save me the money and time by teaching me how to possibly finesse the door open with a credit card. Even sent me a YouTube step by step tutorial that he produced. When both my neighbor and I failed despite all of the recommended steps, he arrived within 20 minutes--even earlier than promised. Mission was accomplished within 49 seconds. He patiently stood back and cleared the way to let me dart into the house to let my panicky puppy out since he had been locked in the house first thing in the morning before his usual morning routine begun. (Went out to get something in garage fridge failed to remember I had interior door on auto-lock. Teenage son, used spare/emergency key at one point and forgot to return it . So, barefoot, clad in pajamas, went to the sweetest neighbors in the world who were gracious with coffee, help and assistance in trying to break into my house. All whilst trying to get ready for their child's big birthday party and out of town musical engagment. Seriously nice guy! I was just on my way out of my place to enjoy this awesome weather. Decided to take the trash out, turned around and well found out that my bottom lock automatically locks you out. Walked around to ask my landlord to let me in, and she was out(ps she is never out, she's usually building a spaceship right above my head, I call BS). Anyway I'm not the panicking type of person but I realized I had 1)no keys 2)no phone 3)no wallet 4)not one freaking window open in the whole house.
