Maple Landing had repeatedly come highly recommended by both friends and staff members, so we decided to finally go in for Sunday Brunch to see what all the fuss was about. Glad we did! Being only about a mile or so south of Love Field, the bar appropriately has an aviation theme with more than adequate room both inside and out for large groups.. I'm sure this place is hopping during games. Upon sitting at the bar, we were immediately greeted by bartender Shelly who was absolutely outstanding and excited about sharing what the restaurant had to offer, making various recommendations. It was refreshing to see all the staff with smiles on their faces. I had the Maple Landing Margarita which tasted extremely fresh with the perfect amount of potency. For my main lunch course, I had the Brisket and Sausage plate with regular fries on the side. The brisket was perfectly moist as was the sausage. You almost didn't even need BBQ sauce with it. We were not greeted, we had to chase down a server who explained we can sit wherever we want. I believe the timing was early. They were slammed and didn't expect it that early on a Sunday. I had Huevos Rancheros with 2 orders of pancakes on the side(I was hungry). My person had Banana French toast & Brisket enchiladas (she was also hungry). By no stretch of the imagination am I a food connoisseur. So take my opinions as that, opinions. My food wasn't warm when it came out. As I write this review, nothing about my meal was memorable. I not saying don't try it, I'm just saying it provided nutrients to my body but not memories. The pancakes, they were good pancakes, I enjoyed those. My person felt a little more enthusiastic about her enchiladas, but the french toast was the BIG winner. She REALLY enjoyed that dish. There was no need for the To-Go box we asked for but never received. Maybe the waitress knew. Last tidbit... They have a cup of THREE DOLLAR orange juice. I'm frugal so, spending that on orange juice is ABSURD but.... That orange juice is very memorable. I recommend it if you don't mind spending THREE DOLLARS for 6-8oz glass of deliciousness. All in all, it's a pretty inexpensive restaurant. I gave them 3 stars because of the meal, non-existent parking (maybe 12 spots in front of the restaurant and the rest is street parking which fills quickly), and service at the time. The wife hates bbq and I'm glad she's not here to censorship my restaurant decision. Place looks very rustic from the outside. They do have outdoor seating but sat at the bar since the crowd was small. The service was great and the food was excellent. I had the two meat plate with baked beans and street corn or "elote". The corn was a little spicy and not the best but definitely good for a bbq place. The sausage was juicy along with the brisket. The sauce was also tasty. The brisket melt is one of the best brisket sandwiches I have ever had. There's not even any barbecue sauce and yet the flavor is out of this world. The tender brisket mixes with the savory sauteed mushrooms and caramelized onions and cheese for a flavor explosion. And the side salad was fresh and a great portion! My husband got sweet potato waffle fries which remained crisp throughout the meal and were delicious! The drinks were a tad expensive but good for the area. And the service was good (attentive), but they aren't overly friendly. The restaurant was freezing so we sat outside on their patio and the service was still good and the fans were really effective at keeping the flies away! We don't live nearby, as we were visiting a hospital during the time we dined here, but we'd definitely stop by next time we're in this part of town. And get the same sandwich again! read more

I visited this location on May 24, 2023 and ended up in the ER because they put mustard on my sandwich when I specifically told them that I was allergic to mustard. The server mad sure to note that but they put it on my sandwich which had melted cheese also. I started eating and realized it had mustard on it. My daughter called the server over after realizing it had mustard on it. By the time the server got to the table I had started coughing and couldn't stop. My daughter said something to the manager before we left for the ER. On the way to the ER my daughter had to pull over and administer my epic pen because I had started wheezing. Upon arrival at the ER they took me straight to the back and put me on oxygen and IV fluid. I was there for several hours until they were sure I was ok to leave. After we left my daughter went back by the restaurant and spoke with the manager again about the incident. To this date the restaurant has not complied with anything they said they would do. I had to get a lawyer involved and they have not complied with any of the correspondence from the attorney which is trying to help get my medical bills paid. Wife and I stopped in after flying in to love Field since it was very close. We both had the brisket and sausage platter... Not much of a platter if you don't get the sides however.... Being keto and all there are not many good side options. We did have a side salad with ranch dressing and that was very nice.
