Drover 45 minutes to buy a new car, on our one day off, because the website clearly said they were open to 3:00 PM. Got there at 2:15 PM - they wouldn't sell us a car because they apparently close at 2:00 and didn't bother updating their website. read more

They have always been treated me well at this dealership. Bought a new outback here in 2021. Within 10k miles it had an oil leak which they fixed under warrantee and another oil leak at 30k mile which they did the same for. Gave me a nice loaner car both time as they should have. They don't make the cars there so I don't hold the leaks against them but they did me right as far as fixing it. Not the greatest first experience with the brand but the serve department at maple hill is tops in my book. Thanks read more

Morgan!!!! What an amazing person! I appreciate her kindness and professionalism. She actively listened to my concerns and her follow up was perfect!!!! I can't remember the other persons name that helped me when I came to pick up my car but she was great too!!! read more

We did not buy our car from Maple Hill as their sales department was terrible two years ago, can't speak to today. However their service dept is excellent! They are so knowledgeable and attentive. We have had amazing service, we have had to return twice for recalls, was given a loaner, it always has gone smoothly. They are worth the drive! read more

Drove there three times from Grand Rapids to look at 3 different used Subaru Foresters. 3 times the cars were not the even there. One was still at auction in New York, one was in "transit" and one was pure trash at a lot several blocks away. read more

We had such a wonderful experience and highly recommend this dealership. James was very helpful and we left feeling confident with our purchase. Random pluses of buying a car here: $13.95 oil changes for the life of the vehicle and free car washes! Further, if the car ever needs to be serviced, the waiting room is NICE -you can sit back with a coffee, Rice Krispy Treat, and a newspaper. Thank you for the experience, Maple Hill! read more

Fantastic customer service. Every time I enter the building I am greeted by people who care about finding a vehicle that fits me perfectly. They always go above and beyond no matter the circumstances. read more

Offered to pay off the loan amount left on a 2021 subaru legacy touring (purchased from them new) with less than 5k on it, and said the car was actually worth less than that. I saw the appraiser Victor Heckman walk around the outside of the car, never even open a door, the hood or the trunk and walked back into the office to give me that offer. Had instant cash offers for 34,600 on kbb. Private party sale was 39,900 to 42,000. Salesman said kbb numbers weren't true. If kbb goes by average price from hundreds of sales in the area, who's got the right numbers, and who is trying to screw ppl over? read more

Terrible, unreliable "service" department. I'll walk miles every day before I even think about buying another car from them.

For the majority of the time we owned our Forester (2014), we were told burning a little oil was normal, and we could just top it off between oil changes. They told us that until 20k miles outside of the warranty extension they were forced to give due to a class action suit. So now they are saying "we never said any of that" and the car needs a new motor at 130k miles. A known defect...a month back when there I asked an employee why they kept telling us it was normal, and was told "that's what Subaru told us to say"....now to try to get Subaru to do anything, I have to find the records for every piece of service ever done...Maple Hill lied to me, causing me to miss the window for free replacement. If you're ever dumb enough to buy a Subaru, don't be dumb enough to use Maple Hill....Not sure how the other brands are...best to avoid the whole crooked lot. read more

This is the most deceptive dealership that I have ever been associated with. The transmission went in a Subaru Forester after just going over the 60,000 miles. The dealership stated that warranty would contribute since miles only were just over the warranty period. They had the car for a month. After 1st installing a defective transmission they installed a used certified by Subaru. They said you can pick it up for $5,300 dollars and the warranty group will not contribute. I could have had it 2 weeks earlier locally From another shop for $1800. read more

I scheduled my car for it's 72K service and the day before noticed a rubbing noise in my back tire area. When I took it in and requested them to check it, because they were 2 weeks out on repair services they were unsure they could get it looked at......I was ok, but shared I was leaving in a few days for a vacation to the UP. The service staff was so amazing! They got it checked out and I had a breaks and wheel bearing issues. They kindly squeezed me in for repairs and even got me a car to use while mine was in service. They worked hard, got me a great price and were the greatest in communication and kindness. I have had my lease for 3 years and have been nothing but very happy with them and my Outback. read more

Decided to try Maple Hill since we live the same distance from them as from Gurley Leep. We were not greeted when we arrived, so we reached out to the first salesman we found, Matt Williams. He didn't seem interested in selling us a vehicle and after test driving two different models, we had to ask him to run some numbers so we could compare the two. He came back with an offer that was insultingly overpriced, so we left. We have owned 3 Subarus, so I know this isn't the brand, it's specific to this dealership. We will not return, but honestly I don't think they care either way. read more

The avoid customer service on Saturdays. The will give you a loaner car or make you come in Wednesday but nothing that helps out someone working long hours on during the week. Plus they quadruple prices for their benefit read more

First visit to have service on my previously own outback, was a little reluctant, but it was just an oil change, have a 06 lexus I had for 7 years, I believe in going to the service department of the manufacturer, Especially for things like preventative engine and trans work, they were nice fast and efficient. and followed up the next day. Hopefully my outback will give me a great experience like my lexus. read more

For those of you out there who are considering a Subaru via Maple Hill I would implore you not to take that path. I have a fairly long story regarding my 2017 Subaru WRX/STI. I will start by stating that I am a 33 year old male with a family. For those of you still with me here is my story I hope it does two things for you. 1- encourages you to remember there are many options available to you as the customer and the purchasing power is yours to keep. Make the best decision you can and shop other dealers even for the same brand as in my story all dealerships are not created equal regardless of brand. 2- helps the group at Maple Hill learn and realize that they lost a level headed influential customer through multiple failures to treat me with respect, dignity or family as the brand demands and declares. In roughly November/December after having my STI for a few months I took it to the drive through car wash to knock the Michigan salt off the body. I was greeted by a gentlemen who told me that he would not permit me to go through the wash due to the spoiler on the rear. I informed him that my car is brand new. He then told me and I quote as it is seared into my mind "ok Ill let you through this one time but if something happens you and I are going to have a serious discussion". A serious discussion I thought? How interesting of a way to treat a "valued" customer as a criminal in the event their wash process damages my 2017 car. Also, I found it interesting that I am a 33 year old level headed male with a family who just got the "father son talk" from a gentlemen that couldn't have been over 25. I digress. Sadly my dissatisfied experience goes much deeper. If I haven't lost you yet stay tuned because I promise you the rest will make you rethink your decision. In early January I contacted the service department as my car seemed extremely sluggish and would not engage the turbo past 10 PSI. Normal boost pressure on my car is around 15 PSI give or take. I contacted them on a Monday morning informing them of my longish story or concern with the cars performance. The man whom I had the pleasure of speaking with spoke to me as if I had no clue about my car and that I didn't have the right amount of oil or correct gas in the car and to make even more awesome he told me he didn't have the time to talk to me if you will because he was very booked and backed up. I asked if I could at least drop mine off and they could take there time with it just provide me with a loaner or rental until repaired back to satisfaction. I was told that was not an option, but they could surely give me a ride home. I said that doesn't work for me I have to have a set of wheels. I don't care if it is a $1,000 rust box. Just don't make me keep driving mine and creating more damage potentially. At the end of the conversation I feel he most likely could feel my frustration and desperation for help and I got the best question I could have ever heard "HOW OLD ARE YOU"????? This really stung at a level that I cannot begin to define. I was discriminated against due to my age. Explain that away any how you feel like it, but this question was asked in a demeanor that in no way was relevant. I felt accused again as if a criminal that pounded there car and caused the problem. I assure you I change the oil on this car religiously and hoped to pass it down to one of my kids someday if possible. With that said I was floored and as they didn't "have time" to talk to me and said they would call me back (never happened) I chose to call them back and make the appointment. When calling the second time I spoke with the service manager and he was at least polite. Mind you ***Engine not running right*** they told me the best they could do was the 27th of January..... This was literally three weeks away! You want me to drive my brand new car with engine issues for three more weeks maybe doing even more damage because your service department is so far behind they cant even diagnose my car for three weeks? What does that say about your service department and also your brand I ask? I made a personal visit to my salesperson who thought it a tad odd as well. The 27th is the best we can do but we are going to put our best tech on it. You're telling me there are substandard techs there as well? I personally contacted a different dealer (Fox Subaru) and was helped with 5 stars finding out. drumroll. you guessed it ringland failure on cylinder 4. In the car world this means your motor is toast. All being covered under warranty replaced and repaired before Maple Hill would have even glanced or batted an eye at it. If I am lucky enough to have someone at a significant level at Maple Hill read this. Ask around I am sure you can get in touch with me at any time. I'm the man that bought the 2017 STI WRB in July of 2016. I am confident you most likely wont. read more
