Worst Chinese food I've ever tasted. The rice was like dough and no flavor. Chowmein had no flavor and had been recooked. Probably from yesterday or who knows. The portions are huge. The asian woman who usually does your transaction and dishes up the premade selections heaps an impossible amount of food into the tray with lid...the thing weighs like ten pounds when she is done...amazing. The quality of the food is middle of the road. It is tasty, but not cuisine by any means. The ingredients always have appeared fresh, and never a gut bomb like a few taco trucks I've been to. Very affordable. The full meal...consisting of chowmein, and your choice of two main dishes such as Broccoli Beef, or Sweet and Sour Pork, etc. There are a large number of these to choose from...almost too many. A few of the main sellers are already made in warming pans up front by the register. I always order from these because I don't like waiting for my food. If you want one of the main courses that has to be made when ordered you have about a 20+ minute wait. The full plate runs about $8.50...and there is a size that is half as big for like $5 after tax. There is nearly always a line..this indicates a good place to eat. If you go near lunchtime or dinnertime the line gets pretty long. read more

Nothing amazing but the typical lower end Chinese fast food with good large portions, low prices and LOTS of salt! They don't give glasses of ice or water and the drinks are all canned or a bottle of water. Not that uncommon though. Pretty much a takeout place with some tables. My boyfriend was recommended to this place, about 6 months ago. We went to check it out and now it is the only Chinese food we will eat. As you walk in, you are greeted by the sweetest little lady who listens intently to your order and can take several orders at once. She is very good and fast. You watch the men cooking behind her so there is no question on how the food is prepared. All the food is hot and very flavorful. i must warn those of you on a diet, this place is not for you, the food is very fattening but yummy as hell. Not for those on a diet. The portions are so huge, we order two boxes to go, to feed four people. To be honest about the upkeep of the place. The kitchen is kept clean, you can tell, "BUT", the floor in the seating area is not so clean looking and it has that not so clean feel to it, when you debate on eating there or takeout. Surprisingly good. This is a small restaurant in a strip mall and seems to cater mostly to take- away food. Very, very basic with a few tables. A lot of the entrees were served from the counter, mainly the fried stuff. We ordered two specials, beef with green beams and chicken with fried noodles. It's a little hole in the wall place but it's extremely popular. The large combo box will fill two dinner plates mounding with food. We like the happy family plate the best we give it 5 stars ask for it spicy and you'll be happy you did. We're not a fan of the sweet and sour sauce and the egg rolls are just ok. Two orders of Orange Chicken w/white steamed rice. Again, soggy, like slop. Kung Pao Chicken. Altho the flavoring ws decent in the chicken and sauce, the vegetables (zucchini and carrot, cld hv bn another, I may hv forgotten), were HUGE chunks! You get a lot of food for the price, however it's you basic Chinese restaurant fare. The business here has definitely increased in the last few years, due to the closure, burning down of nearby egg roll king. Everytime we've been here, there was a long line that was almost out the door, which indicates to me that they weren't adequately prepared for an increase in business. There is the same, solo woman running the register and handling the ordering,and about 3 or 4 men cooking behind the grill. It would probably benefit them to consider adding an extra person and cash register the counter. We were going to eat there tonight, but the line was so long and she looked overwhelmed, so we passed it up. It's also not in the greatest area, since the shopping center is literally home to several vagrants hanging around the area. read more

I've been here a few times and each time was a good experience. I enjoy the mini plate. You get two thing and they stuff the container full. It only costs a little over $4. I usually get the chow mein and a chicken or beef dish. The lemon chicken is really good. The beef is always tender and flavorful. I work right across the lot so it makes it very convenient. Maple Garden is my go to take out place in Red Bluff. The atmosphere is not very welcoming, it has a waiting room feel, and its pretty clear that's what most people use it for, waiting to get their take out, but the food is darn good. If you pick from the hot buffet up front you'll be in and out, if you want to order something that isn't in the buffet they make it in front of you. The portions are MASSIVE. The #19 Deluxe is $7.50 and I easily get two full meals from it. Highly recommend the orange chicken and Peking pork. read more

We came here for lunch on a Sunday and were very happy with what we found! Atmosphere is very casual, plenty of seating with option of take out as well. You can tell the food is all made fresh and with whole ingredients. The egg drop soup, Kung pao chicken and orange chicken were excellent! Ok, heard the rants and raves from my friends about this place. Many good reviews so far as I can tell. I recently made this Yelp account just to say " Dont always take your friends word for it". I have eaten at tons of chinese food restaurants and seem to know a good deal of whats good and what isn't. So I call in a phone order. Very friendly lady answers yet direct and straight to the point. Doesnt tell me a total or for example if there were various sizes of portions (Dumplings/Wan tons). But not much of a big deal. Dumplings.. burnt on one side. Inside was a mash of different meats. Not to mention still not cooked evenly on all sides. (Still raw dough inside) not to meantion hard crunchy pieces that I think was bone fragements. Chicken... the Cashew chicken order was soggy and just dissolved in my mouth. Usually a little crunchy. (Also found small pieces of aluminum foil in there)??? Why??? Rice... over salted/seasoned that gave instant heart burn from sodium intake(no soy sauce added) chow mein... completely flavorless and so sticky and dry they stuck to the wall. Wantons... perfect. I never finished my food and wasted 30bucks to gladly throw it in the trash. Sorry but the entire time was a learned lesson not to go again. read more
