I heard this was a golf course at first, 9 holes and casual. But then I hear it's of all things an Indian restaurant! An Indian restaurant in Red Bluff at a golf course! OK, I checked it out a few weeks ago, but just sort of got around to doing a review now. Normally, I only do Indian food at restaurants that offer lunch buffets, I dunno, I guess that's how I started eating Indian food and I have my fave dishes. Oak Creek Ranch offers no buffet, but since I live here in Red Bluff, I gotta give it a try. Oak Creek Ranch is located out of the main part of town in the south. You can find Montgomery Road off of South Main Street. Turn right just before the freeway and it's like a frontage road to the freeway. Keep going, and it's on the right. If you get to the end of the road, you passed it, go back. I ordered to go since I was by myself and didn't wanna eat alone in a restaurant I never been to before. I ordered my fave Tandoori chicken that came with two drumstick and two thigh pieces. Also, tried the Chicken Tikka Masala and got some basmati rice to go with that. I spent way more than I would at a buffet, but the nearest Indian buffet is all the way in Sacramento over 2 hours away! The wait for the food wasn't too long and it smelled good in the car. I forgot to get some naan, but oh well, next time! I get home just maybe 10 minutes away and open up the food. I put the rice and Tikka Masala out on a plate. OK, I gotta say, the Tandoori chicken was really good, very tandoori tasting and tender, no struggling to pull the meat off with my teeth. The tikka masala was good, not too spicy and went well with the rice. I had leftovers for later. No leftovers allowed at buffets, so there's that. I'm glad I found a place for Indian food right here in Red Bluff, a town not known for restaurant diversity away from chain restaurants. I wonder if many people actually play golf here in the summer? read more

atmosphere was beautiful calming refreshing. The service was great and the food was delicious. We got butter chicken , naan bread, lamb biryani, Pankora fish. We are definitely returning such a beautiful place. a hidden gem. They also have Italian food. you have got to give it a try. read more

This is not a true authentic Indian restaurant. The food is edible, but lacks the depth of flavor that real Indian food has. On the upside, the atmosphere is nice and the service is wonderful. This is not somewhere I recommend people go if they want to have authentic Indian food. read more

I guess for people that haven't had real Indian food this would be good. I live in LA and have eaten in authentic Indian restaurants all my life. The Indian food here is literally watered down Trader Joe's frozen Indian food. They probably buy the sauce (I had tika masala) and water it way down and that's their sauce. The masala tea was regular tea with the same spice that was in the tika masala added to it. It was super weird tasting. The extra star I am giving is just for ambiance and cleanliness because it's a pretty place on a ranch and the place was clean. read more

Driving back from Lassen was super hungry and stopped at this place. This place was really good/ fresh, hot tasty food. Very open space with good views. Good service Happy starving people. Getting a chai after a tiring day was a huge bonus! read more

I'm not typically one who recommends second chances, but I am sure glad I gave this place another go round! Tandoori chicken was amazing! Butter chicken had just the right amount of heat. We decided to try this place that had randomly appeared on my Facebook, the Oak Creek Ranch. This was a very nice restaurant that I feel has great potential. My partner was excited to learn that they offer a large menu of Indian food. We ordered the Chili Chicken as appetizer. I ordered the Butter Shrimp Masala. He ordered the Saag Chicken. We also ordered the Buttered Naan. The food was good but honestly it was a bit flavorless and lacked the strong notes normally associated with Indian food. We joked as it tasted like Indian food that had been prepared by 'white people for white people'. I think that this place has great potential and just needs to spice up their selections. I added salt and it made a world of difference. We plan to go back and try other things, as I think this may have been a one off. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and efficient. I do wish that my iced tea could have been refilled a bit more than it had been. read more

We had butter chicken with rice & garlic naan. The naan was ok but the butter chicken was not what we expected. We were comparing it to the Pryat's butter chicken on East in Chico. Oak creek's was too spicy and did not taste like the tandoori in creamy tomato sauce that we are used to. It was edible but not what we looked forward to. I had a great lunch here a few days ago. Location is a little remote but quiet and peaceful. Large area perfect for events or large party. Service was good allowing time to select from a diverse menu of Indian, Italian food, and pizza. Food: we had a variety of specialty Indian dishes; all were excellent. read more

We stopped in Red Bluff for the night on our way down to Southern California and we were looking for Indian food. We found this place online and it had a 4.8 review so we thought we check it out. Glad we did. It's in a very quiet residential area but a very nice environment very clean and excellent service. It's near a driving range off of a rural road. Highly recommend. Easy to get to. Excellent food! Next time we were driving through, we definitely would come back. The price is reasonable. Surprisingly, they had Italian food on their menu as well so if you have kids that don't like Indian and want a pizza or pasta and then it's a win-win for everyone read more

Food is really good and the spice level was fantastic. Ambiance was nice. Our table had used/open sugar packets mixed in with the new ones and the server while polite was not as friendly and welcoming as we are used to when we dine out. For 3 of us to eat (2 adults and 1 child) was $100 so pricy and definitely a couple-times-a-year venue vs someplace we would like to eat at more often. read more

Please get out to this hidden gem in Red Bluff. The food is amazing. Service was excellent and the windows allow a great view of a golf course thats not in use. The food is fabulous! Four of us tried four items on the menu and we loved them all. Another time, we ordered ahead and the food was ready for pick up 10 minutes before the expected time.
