    All their donut flavors

I got the French cruller and OMG was it amazinggg!!!! I wished I got more. The staff were very helpful and patient on explaining each flavor since there were so many to choose from. They have a drive thru as well! The place was clean and smelled like fresh donuts!

Very good donuts, drove from Virginia to get them. Service was great costumer service. Inside is retro.

About a 2-2.5: Maple Donuts seems to be a small mini-chain in the PA area, usually located off the rest area exits. Most are of the yeast-style doughnut variety, but they do have some cake-style and other 'specials,' such as apple fritters and such. Apparently, the doughnuts are made fresh on a daily basis, but when we picked up 1/2 a dozen, all of the doughnuts were pretty dried out, and the toppings were also more on the stale end. Ranging from strawberry, maple, glazed, to caramel apple, each doughnut didn't really have a distinct flavor to them, and all of them ended up tasting pretty much the same. It was a little disappointing, as the place itself seemed cute, and the staff were friendly. The doughnuts are a good size, and it was about $5 for 6 doughnuts, which isn't so bad. However, driving a little further to other local bakeries would be a better option. +stale doughnuts T____T +friendly staff +located off of rest area exits

The best donuts ever. They have so many flavors and so many combinations. The breakfast is amazing. It's a must try.

We stopped into this location over the weekend for a treat. It was clean and well taken care of. The doughnuts were good and the holes were fantastic.

Stopped here to load up on doughnuts for a long holiday weekend road trip. These are cake style doughnuts so they are dense, moist, filling and packed with flavor. I got a nice assortment so that there was something for everyone. I actually preferred these over Krispy Kreme *gasp*. They have a longer shelf life than Duck Doughnuts and their flavors are better to me. (DD used to be my favorite). The reviews about the maple doughnuts are absolutely true this was seriously the best one and we may or may not have argued over sharing. Our least favorite was the salted caramel. It was overpoweringly salty we couldn't eat it. Almost like it had pretzel salt on it. So then there's that. But the other flavors are spot on! Peanut butter, double chocolate, etc. If you buy a dozen they give you one for free (which is a true baker's dozen). If you're in York, PA stop by.

Great donuts and now they use "Wow-butter" instead of peanut butter to be allergy friendly! So that is very helpful for me a parent of a child with a nut allergy!! Thank you so much!

Delightful and delicious!! These donuts are no joke. They have so many flavor options and combos. Both the cake and the raised varieties are amazing. We watched as they were filling and icing the freshly made donuts and getting prepared for the next AM (we were there about 11pm). Even the coffee is magical here. There are several locations and not all are open 24/7. The 24/7 locations may close their doors @ midnight but the drive through stays open. There is ample parking and the seating area inside is so nostalgic and lovely! It's super retro inside and I hope they never change it as it's a classic donut shop vibe. The staff is always friendly and eager to help you. The prices are reasonable and the quality of what you are getting is excellent. They also have donut holes and muffins. There's a rather large selection of their 'day olds' available for purchase. They also sell their own coffee blend to take home and make. Grab a couple dozen to go. Trust me on this! You don't want to kick yourself for not getting these amazing sweet treats.

What I personally love about these doughnuts , it's the "layered " part. The croissant like mix between a doughnut and a flaky croissant. They are also big doughnuts.. the flavors are good and very interesting. I got half a dozen to try as many as I could but still left some of the flavors out. Definitely opting for a full dozen next time! Another thing that makes this place stand out , is there savory doughnuts . I got one of those too because I just had to try them.. lol. I couldn't stop eating them lol they are so good! By far, my favorite doughnut in PA. They also offer Gluten free & vegan doughnut options. Which is a huge plus, since my daughter is gluten free. She said "these are the best doughnuts I've ever had" ! The place is really nice , modern like warm Bakery / coffee shop feel. The service was great too. I waited a bit for the gluten free and savory doughnuts, but the employees were very good about letting me know that they would be coming out shortly, which was nice. Will be driving 40 minutes to get my doughnut fix any day!! Definitely worth it.

Before it was Simon's the Otterbein's name was over the storefront. They moved to Cranbrook a long time ago and at least two generations of Simon's were keeping up shop. Legend has it that Mr Simon pretty much lived in the place!! Well, the Simon family sold the business about a year ago to a Latino family. They are great folks and quick to offer a happy greeting upon entering the shop. Their famed sugar cookies dominate the display cases behind the counter. My mission this morning was to acquire two parcels of a deeply personal culinary weakness: DONUTS! Made from scratch donuts. Far better than Krispy and gas station or c-store donuts. At 1.50 each, you can't beat it as far as flavor and quality go. My second visit in about a month. I'll try to make it more frequently, but, you know, donuts... It's easy to stumble...

And I followed them to both locations in Baltimore County because their baked goods remained the same! Until now. I bought a peach cake at their Cockeysville location yesterday and although the peaches were the same sweet and delicious, the cake part wasn't the same. I was disappointed. I know it is no longer a family run bakery anymore but I thought they got the recipes from the Simon family. I hope they do if they haven't because I won't be going back. The cake part of the peach cake just needs a little something to make it taste like Simon's!!
