This food was fantastic! The service was quick and I really have nothing bad to say about it. Since I ordered to go this will be a review more on the food than the restaurant itself. My group ordered two chicken shwarma plates, 1 lamb shwarma, and a falafel side. We waited about 10 minutes to get our order and off we went. I have never had a shwarma plate before but this was such an amazing dish. I love Mediterranean food and the food here was fresh, hot, and delicious. The rice was cooked to perfection. The chicken was mixed with their house sauce which made the chicken taste even more savory. I HATE pickles but this dish was so good I ended up eating the pickle too. The dish was THAT good I somehow forgot all the foods I hate. The falafel was good but I've tried different falafels and they all taste similar, I'm starting to think I just don't like falafels as much in general. The sauce it came with was delicious though. This review is only for their manaeesh - tried the zatar and flayfley and cheese. Both very well made - thin crusts and flavorful. They are CASH ONLY, so make sure you take some with you so you can try everything you want. Also, they've increased the prices during Covid, so everything is an additional dollar, but they haven't updated their menu yet, so it'll be a buck more per item on your bill. If it's take out they charge an additional 50 cents per manaeesh box. They didn't tell us about these additional costs ahead of time though, so I didn't appreciate the surprise while paying. I hadn't been here in a while with restaurants being closed, but decided to get an order to-go earlier today for a late lunch. I settled on a gyro (upgraded to a combo which comes with fries and a drink); it was satisfying! My only complaint (main reason for 4*) is that the gyro meat was a bit on the dry side, but other than that, it was delicious! It's loaded with fresh toppings as you can see from the pics and was surprisingly filling. The wrap that they use is similar/same as what they use for the mana'eesh/man'oushes. This is the first place I've ever been where the pita is fresh baked and steaming hot when it comes to the table. Everywhere else is pulling a pita out of a bag like you'd buy at the store. The falafel had all the best seasonings and the sandwich was less messy than most places I've had falafel sandies. If you're in North Sea, you should get your fix. Great family run restaurant with spectacular food! This is not your typical gyro place with faded pictures of smiling models holding gyros on the wall. Everything is homemade and you can taste the difference. The pita and flat breads are baked in a clay oven, and the taste far surpasses store bought breads. I highly recommend the baba ganouj, it's super smoky and smooth in texture, perfectly sopped up with fresh homemade pita. The hummus is pretty tasty too but the baba ganouj is the best in town. For flatbreads my faves are the lamb and the lebni the lamb comes ground and spiced with fresh squeezed lemon, it's simple but the meat is flavorful and soft. For dessert I always get the lebni with honey which is a tangy yogurt that pairs well with the crispy hot bread. Their sandwiches are delicious as well, but for me I can't get away from their flatbreads! The prices are super reasonable too, but keep in mind it's cash only! read more

This place is a bit tucked away, they're by the big Goodies Mediterranean Market & Produce's signage. I usually stop by on my way home to get our takeout dinner (usually their flatbreads). We've tried the zaatar & cheese (wild thyme, oregano, sesame, sumac and olive oil), flayfleh & cheese (hot pepper, caramelized onion, topped with cheese), sujuk (spicy beef sausage, tomato, garlic aioli) and also a side of their garlic fries that are topped with garlic sauce, feta, parsley and spices. The flatbreads are all delicious and aromatic. The garlic fries smell amazing and are good too! Their Lebni (kefir) flatbread with Honey is my favorite! Unlike the other flatbreads that are savory, the Lebni is the sweet flatbread (it's yogurt-like) Staffs are friendly and always all smiles. Everything is made to order, so it's always fresh. The only drawback is that they're cash-only and I don't really like carrying cash with me, although they do have an ATM machine inside. This is a gem in any city; Seattle is lucky to have a place that makes fresh mana'eesh. All of their varieties are good, but I especially like the zaatar and the Sujuk flatbreads. My husband likes the lamb man'oushe. They also have some of the best falafel in the city, hands down! Located in the heart of Lake City, Man'oushe Express is a hidden gem. Drop down off the main drag into their private driveway and parking lot. Restaurant is located on the street level and the grocery store is downstairs. Walk inside and order right off the menu board. Small but quaint, with a few communal tables to dine. We opted for take out. We wanted to experience many of the wonderful flavors that Man'oushe had to offer. Our order consisted of many items. Chicken schwarma salad, lamb schwarma, baba ganoush and hummus served with amazing warm pita bread, and their signature dish: Ground lamb Mana'eesh pizza flatbread. All of the food was made fresh and tasted fantastic. The flavors were bold and savory. We delighted in all of our food choices. Every bite was better than the last. Consistent quality across the board, and we particularly enjoyed the Mana'eesh flatbread. We can definitely see why Man'oushe has received such stellar reviews. Man'oushe Express is a fast, inexpensive place to grab a bite, and tasty enough to take your hard-to-impress friends from out of town. There's a variety of man'oushe flavors with meats, veggies, cheese and sauce, but the za'atar and cheese is one of their most popular. The sujuk (spicy sausage and tomato sauce) is outstanding and a must-try. I was a little disappointed with the lamb, which is a bit under-seasoned -- not bad, but not as good as the others. We're slowly working our way through the whole menu! If you want something besides flatbread, they also have pizza, shawarma, salads, and falafel. I like the veggie platter, which includes falafel, hummus, excellent baba ghanoush, rice and dolmas; however, it doesn't come with anything to dip, so I'd suggest getting a side of pita with it. You order and pay at the counter, then find a seat. It's cash only, though, so bring cash. Service is fast and friendly. The prices are inexpensive -- about $10-15 per person, depending on what you order. For two of us, we usually get two man'oushe and a large salad. With three or four, you'd want to add on at least another flatbread and a veggie platter so you can try more. Parking is not as bad as it seems! Just head down the driveway past the restaurant, and there's actually a fairly large lot down there. And do stop by the store -- they have interesting international snacks and drinks, and the meat counter sells goat and lamb. Tonight our order didn't taste good. The rice looked like it was dyed yellow, in a weird way, and didn't taste good. And the meats were over-spiced, over cooked and bitter. It makes me sad to leave this review. I have eaten here for several years and absolutely loved it. Wonderful and fresh, in the past. We had four entrées and we didn't even save the leftovers. I don't know if there's been a change of chef or a change of ownership but this is not the same Man'oushe that we know and love. I hope it's just temporary. read more

You had me at fresh baked flatbread... I've always been a fan of fresh baked Mediterranean flat bread since traveling the Middle East when I was a lad. You can find fresh baked flatbread around Seattle but now you're telling me that you're going to put something on top of it? Now you really have my attention! Nested above Goodies Mediterranean market is one of my favorite places in the Seattle metro area. Man'oushe express is one of those unassuming gems that not only has great food but it is very inexpensive as well. What it may lack in a small menu it makes up for with some of the best tasting, fresh and unique Mediterranean food. The first time I came here I was greeted by friendly staff and the smell of fresh bread baking in the oven along with Zaatar spice mix. The two smells together teased my senses. I'm serious, the Man'oushe here is something I have actually dreamed about! It is so simple and yet done to tantalize your tastebuds. The Man'oushe here will take you to the tastes and smells of a small bakery on Hamra Street in Beirut. Behind the area where they take your order you can see the flames from the oven. Everything is made fresh here. My favorite types of Man'oushe here are the lamb which comes with ground and seasoned meat with onion, tomato and green peppers. Squeeze a lemon wedge over it to add to the flavor. The Zaatar with cheese is also good but my favorite is with just Zaatar. If you've never had Zaatar I'd suggest you give it a try. It is a mix of thyme, sumac, oregano and sesame seeds which may sound simple but mixed with olive oil and baked into bread it is marvelous. The cheese pie has a mix of Kashkaval and Ackawi cheeses. Kashkaval is a semi-hard yellow cheese and Ackawi is a type of white brine cheese. When these two cheeses are mixed together they really work. If you want to try something spicy give the Flayfleh & Cheese or the Sujuk. I prefer the Sujuk which is made with a spicy beef sausage garlic and tomatoes. The also have sandwiches and salads but give the Man'oushe a try! This place is great. Pugsly and I recommend it! read more

The hot and melted / broiled cheese, drizzled olive oil, perfectly cooked crust, and generous sprinkling of za'tar all over the pizza hits a home run every time.
