A lot of options including a hibachi section where they will cook food in front of you (you pick sauces, meats, veggies to stir fry). The interior was cute / nicely decorated (it kind of reminds me of hotels in Atlantic City). The food was ok -- about what you would expect for a buffet; nothing extraordinary but there were a lot of options. There was ice cream and many dessert options. I probably would not make a special trip to come here.

I love picking my own ingredients and taking advantage of the MTO hibachi. Marcus the chef was personable and did a wonderful job. The ice cream was on point. Banana pudding 10/10. There was nothing we tried that wasn't delicious!

Dining on Sundays in Lancaster can be tricky, as most of the Amish owned/operated restaurants are closed. So naturally, we were pleased to find Manor Buffet open on Sunday. Don't let the outside appearance fool you, once inside, you'll be surprised at the size of the dining area, as well as the vast selection it offers. You'll find most of the American Chinese selections, as well as grilled steaks, roast beef, and seafood. Be sure to try out their sweet and sour riblets, it was terrific! Also, save room for desserts, as their selection is vast. Be aware that weekend rates is the same for lunch and dinner. The service is good as the staff comes by regularly. Give this place a try if you're in the area.

We visit this year again. Hot food are ok but the sushi table was unacceptable. Sushi/ sashimi are dull and not fresh. The rolls were falling apart with a very messy presentation. On the other hand, the peel your own boiled shrimp were jumbo size. I was able to catch some crab coming out of the kitchen. That pan was usually empty. Customer service is good. Unfortunately, this may be my last visit to this place.

The way the waiter is dealing with you is stupid because he provokes you while you're finishing your meal and imposes the tip on you. . In many restaurants, especially those that rely on a self-service system like some Chinese restaurants, the waiter's role is minimal--perhaps just providing utensils like a spoon, fork, and knife, nothing more. Despite this, they still expect a tip, which can feel unfair since the service provided is limited. Tips are usually given as a reward for good service, so it's understandable to feel frustrated when the service doesn't match the expectation.

This location is certainly gargantuan size for dinning hall, buffet counters and queuing for payment and waiting for table. The line moves moderately for payment and waiting for a table. There are some benches available for customers who are mobility impaired unable to stand for long times. Senior citizen and children discounts are available. My party experienced authentic Pennsylvania Dutch cooking. It was an experience with an open-mind without judgment. Dinner prices for one adult range $23.99 to $33.99 depending on the time of day, meal, and day of the week. Tax and a 12% service fee are additional, but beverages and desserts are included. I did obtain my sales receipt. The sales receipt is attached to a blue slip which upon meal completion customers are to turn over signaling table clean-up. Shady Maple Smorgasbord offers a 20% discount coupon for their nearby gift shop during meal payment. This 20% discount coupon, my party gladly utilized which is a very good marketing promotion to lure customers. Restroom facilities are large with a restroom lounge. The facilities' sink is very modern as it is an "all-in-one" sink golden faucet mechanism: L (soap), middle (water), R (hand dryer). Ergo, no excess soap is dripped on the sink counter for clean-up and no water will be spilled or splattered on the floor. I have never seen this modern sink faucet. I think it is a modern convenience innovation for progress with technology always improving. The food quality is good and the selection is gargantuan. I wished there were more meat opinions as Ribeye which contains the most flavorful cut of beef. Hanger steak is my default favorite. I also wished for more seafood opinions as shrimp, salmon, Tilapia or striped bass fishes. The vegetables were a good selection. I like the baby carrots which were boiled cooked soft and fresh. The red onions were extremely strong. I wished for Caesar salad lettuce as my default vegetable, but iceberg lettuce was substituted which did not agreed with my stomach. I did not see chicken. There were abundant baked potato of red skin and hash browns. I highly prefer potato au gratin, but to no avail. I was hoping for ice cream as dessert, but to no avail either. Nota Bene: Shady Maple Smorgasbord is family oriented style, ergo do not expect any alcohol. Lemonade, root beer, cola, soda, ice tea, coffee, hot tea, cold water and hot water are abundantly available as beverages. Disappointedly there is no ginger ale soda available as a beverage option which would greatly reduce my anxiety and motion sickness of being in a car for four continuous hours on the road driving. Shady Maple Smorgasbord also has a gargantuan gift shop adjacent on the grounds. This gift shop is old school traditional where tourists and non-Pennsylvanians (like myself) can purchase key chains, post cards, magnets, and T-shirts. Parking is abundantly available and free. Upon exiting our car the air had a high strench of horse manure to heaven! The noisome odor emanating from the nearby unseen horse stables made it difficult for my party to enjoy the grounds, amid the dangerous excessive heat wave of Independence Day 2026 holiday weekend. We were among the Amish in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

We've come here before, and the prices were far cheaper and the food was far better. This morning, at 10:20, we came in for breakfast. We got our food and we ate for about 15 minutes talking and enjoying breakfast. By the time we went up for more food, the one section had already switched to lunch, and the other section was empty with all the food on the cart. Since the breakfast food was being taken away, we got more food but from the lunch section since that all that was left. However, our waitress came over a few minutes later and told us we would be charged for lunch prices, which is $7 more per person. We explained that we came in during breakfast and mostly had breakfast food, and the only reason we took from the lunch menu was because all the breakfast food had been taken away. The waitress tried to say that since we took lunch items that we had to be charged the lunch prices, even though she hadn't said anything when we got there. Another woman, who I'm assuming was the manager came over, told us that we would have to be charged the lunch prices. We then explained the situation again. She proceeded to tell us that the breakfast food had just been put on the carts and we could've just taken from there. EXCUSE ME? I work in a restaurant. That is totally unacceptable and unsanitary. Who goes to a buffet and takes food that is put on a cart? That's disgusting and should be reported. No wonder this place was so empty. They're charging Shady Maples prices with quality of food that wouldn't even compete against Golden Corral's. I will never come back here again and recommend to everyone that I know to do the same. This place is terrible, and so overpriced. We overpaid and left still hungry.

Most of the chicken was overcooked that was sitting out. The chicken and broccoli was the best item up on the hot bar. The soups were good as well. I enjoyed the Pork Buns and the Dim Sum as well. Cleanliness was an issue, numerous dirty soda cups and dishes. The lady working the register didn't even say hello upon entering. She just turned the card reader towards us where it read 42 dollars. Let's start with the veggies: mashed potatoes with hot gravy, broccoli and cauliflower with hot cheese sauce (the only way!), turnip greens, yummy cabbage, baked beans, green beans ... we ate 'em all. The fried chicken was crispy and hot (lots of breasts, our favs), the steaks cooked and sliced in front of us (not especially chewy either), the very agreeable bourbon chicken. And we haven't mentioned the salad bar with lots of fresh lettuce and toppings. The dessert bar also had lots of variety, although nothing other than chocolate everything is necessary for us.
