Our group stopped by here after watching a show at Sight and Sound Theatres - it's about 15 mins away! Buffets used to be a staple growing up--especially if you're Asian, iykyk. They were the go-to spot for unlimited seafood, sushi, hibachi, and just about everything else. Nowadays, it feels like more people are cooking at home to save money or opting for smaller, trendier restaurants. The staff here was attentive, and I appreciated that they spoke and understood English well. Unfortunately, our experience at checkout left a bad impression. One of the Chinese waitresses was unnecessarily rude and more focused on proving she was right than calmly explaining the situation, so minus one star. The food itself was pretty standard, with limited sashimi and hibachi options, so minus another star. I did enjoy the chocolate fountain, dessert bar, cake fridge, and soft-serve ice cream--they brought back nostalgic buffet memories. First time I have been here. I went for a late lunch and but they started the dinner buffet at 3:30. That was fine. WOW! What a selection of all kinds of different food. This is a very big Asian buffet with many options. However there was not much food i could stomach. The sushi didn't look fresh. A lot of the foods were fatty and just overly saucey. Dining on Sundays in Lancaster can be tricky, as most of the Amish owned/operated restaurants are closed. So naturally, we were pleased to find Manor Buffet open on Sunday. Don't let the outside appearance fool you, once inside, you'll be surprised at the size of the dining area, as well as the vast selection it offers. You'll find most of the American Chinese selections, as well as grilled steaks, roast beef, and seafood. Be sure to try out their sweet and sour riblets, it was terrific! Also, save room for desserts, as their selection is vast. Be aware that weekend rates is the same for lunch and dinner. The service is good as the staff comes by regularly. Manor buffet is one of the better ones In lancaster. I can eat here and not get a tummy ache the wonton are great, general tso always very fresh since its a favorite amongst ppl. Its saucy and crispy. The sushi is hit or miss and somewhat uneven cuts but still ok. read more

I've given this place several chances, and each visit has been worse than the last. For the price they charge, you'd expect at least hot food and decent service -- but you won't find either here. Most of the dishes on the buffet were cold or barely lukewarm, no matter what time I came in. It's clear the trays sit far too long without being refreshed. Even items that should be hot and crispy were soggy, cool, and unappetizing. Service is just as disappointing. Staff rarely check on tables, plates pile up, and any request feels like an inconvenience. For what they're charging, the experience is nowhere near worth it. We visit this year again. Hot food are ok but the sushi table was unacceptable. Sushi/ sashimi are dull and not fresh. The rolls were falling apart with a very messy presentation. On the other hand, the peel your own boiled shrimp were jumbo size. I was able to catch some crab coming out of the kitchen. That pan was usually empty. Customer service is good. Decided to try this place out since it had good reviews, my bad. The food was flavorless and lukewarm. The hibachi tasted like dirt. Hardly any options for Chinese food and the American food looked like it was leftover from the night before. The egg drop soup was the worst I have ever tried. The restaurant felt unkempt--sticky tables, unclean plates, and a general sense of neglect that made me question the hygiene standards. The sushi itself was a far cry from what it used to be--rice that was either too dry or too mushy, fish that lacked freshness, and an overall presentation that suggested carelessness rather than craftsmanship. To make matters worse, the price has only gone up while the quality has nosedived. At this point, the cost is nowhere near justified. With so many better sushi options available, I (along with many others who used to frequent this place) have stopped coming altogether. This has to be one of the best Chinese food buffets in PA. Such a great variety. We always have good service. We've been their on a holiday and it can get very busy ,but its so big they can move a lot of people quickly. During the busy times, we have seen the food run low but never empty. Proceed with caution. I've dined here a few times and it's typically a decent buffet at a fair price. I stopped in Thursday, with a friend, while in Lancaster. Everything was as expected. The next morning I woke with a horrible stomach ache and pains. I didn't think anything of it until my friend called and asked how I was feeling; he had the same issues. On Friday he was diagnosed with food poisoning. The only thing we ate in common was sat the buffet, sushi and clams. Everything tasted fine, but the Dr said, you can get food poisoning even if the fish tastes normal because some toxins are undetectable by smell, taste, or appearance. This usually occurs if the fish is improperly stored or processed. While I can't say Manor is the origin, I can say the only food we had in common was as stated above. read more

After getting our fill of smorgasbords and shoefly pie (and even shoe fly cake) we decided to try Manor Buffet. I'm a fan of Chinese buffets because you can actually create a nutritious balanced meal for yourself and they offer a great bang for the buck... you just have to know what you are doing as you create an epic meal full of proteins, carbs and greens. Then top it all off with some fresh fruits. The prime rib at Manor buffet was amazing - it wouldn't be out of place at a high end restaurant. It was very flavorful and tender and cut right in front of you at the station by the server. The other menu items were for the most part good or passable... except for the hibachi. I goofed - I ordered it with garlic soy sauce which on paper sounds good. However my chef added way too much soy sauce causing the dish to be way too salty. I should have asked him to limit the sauce. Another key to being a Chinese buffet veteran is finding a good place to walk around and shop afterwards. They have Ollies and Burlington coat factory right next door! Lancaster is a low key great place to shop. read more
