I've gotten a cranberry muffin and cheese danish from here and both have been really good! The cranberry muffin was sweet and had some orange flavor which was really nice. The cheese danish was very fluffy and the cheese was like a cream cheese that was sweet as well. Pretty reasonably priced, $3 or $4 for each pastry. Nice workers and space! Manon Cafe is a gem on the ground floor of an office building located at 120 Broadway. Enter via Cedar Street and you won't miss it. Apart from a variety of assorted coffees given with a chocolate bonbons they sell chocolate - Leonidas Chocolate. A favorite of mine for the past twenty years. I have eaten my fair share and enjoyed each and everyone. They reopened a few years ago and often have sales that are tempting and worth every penny spent. All the chocolates make my moth water but my absolute favorite is the marron which I often get about ten pieces. read more

Passing by here so many times on my way home from work, I've never stopped in until the other day meeting a friend to visit the Frame Store next to it. 50% off your second drink? Sure why not. We both get the iced capachino. $8.50 she said. (I just bought two drinks...) The girl behind the counter was obviously delusional about something, because after I had mention the promotion that's plastered everywhere in their chocolote/ coffee shop the final price was $5 and change. (umm.. ok, won't complain there). There weren't any smoothies nor did she really explained what a frappe was, but hey - just scored a deal so guess we'll take the coffee. Turned around and proceeded to add brown sugar and sprinkle chocolate all over it. Unfortunately after shaking it all up the frothy milkiness of a capachino was gone and I'm left with a lot of ice when I was finished. Not very memorable coffee, very memorable service. This business is impossible to locate despite of the address "120 Broadway" which the actual entrance is on Cedar Street directly opposite Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. I was utterly frustrated unable to locate this business on Broadway that I was extremely discouraged yet determined to find it but thankfully Yelpers mentioned entrance is on Cedar Street. Nevertheless, the search and find was worth a good cup of Jasmine green tea and, of course, chocolates. I opt for one hot Jasmine Green Tea $2.45 which is accompanied by two complimentary Leonidas Belgian chocolates. I selected three small pieces of mixed chocolates $4.20: milk, dark and white. Chocolates bring a smile and comfort. Based on Yelps reviews on their baked goods (cookies, bagels, pastries) it appears harden if not stale and I was certainly evading. Seating is extremely limited to two tables which is not designed for long stay. No facilities on site due to the small seating this business is not subject to provide restroom facilities. Customer service is impeccable with a welcoming smile and attentive + informative. Staff appears trained in customer service. Manon Café is certainly a little very HIDDEN gem! read more

I work about 20 steps from here. That could be considered really good or really bad. On the plus side, he chocolate is very good, they have a quality espresso and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. On the bad side, I'm fat enough already. Cute little place with great service and lots of good things about it. I didn't love the espresso but it was good. And the free chocolate, in addition to the paid chocolate, was very enjoyable. This has to be the best coffee shop in FIDI! I got an americano with milk, and it woke me right up... I could tell the quality of the beans were high up there. This coffee shop is located right next to my morning subway stop. To further increase the temptation though, they have a gimmick, a delightful gimmick really, where you are entitled to one piece of free chocolate with any coffee. Manon is quite the morning coffee and pastry destination. The line can get long in the early mornings. Their coffee is fresh and flavorful and, perhaps most importantly, comes with a complementary chocolate (milk, dark or white is up to you!). They have a pretty limited selection of teas (chai, English breakfast, mango passion fruit, green) and a small variety of pastries. Their muffins, particularly the cappuccino, are always good and I love their whole wheat croissants. They also have bagels and cream cheese (just plain cream cheese). Ever since its Rector Street location closed I really was always wandering Wall street looking for some good coffee. I found Manon again but really it moved into a shoe box storefront! This place is so small compared to the Rector location just two tables and four seats. Man I got off the subway and walked in here, it felt like I never got off the subway. Jostling and bumping with tourists picking pennies out there wallets to pay for drinks OMG! The coffee was alright but really disappointed with the space. This place I really like... A cafe that serves an assortment of good teas and pastries. It's the perfect place for an afternoon pick me up or snack. One great thing about Manon is they give you a free chocolate with whatever drink you get from there. That alone is usually reason enough to make the trip over here as opposed to Starbucks or another cafe (although I love Starbucks). Friendly service without that feeling of imminent death if you don't place your order within 1.5 seconds. The only thing I would change would be to add some chairs and small tables in there to sit down. Granted the place is very small and couldn't accommodate any furniture, it would still be a very nice to have. But overall just a very cool place. read more

This place is actually not on Broadway but around the corner on Cedar, as well as accessible from inside the Equitable Life Building lobby. It's definitely a workweek haven, with a lot of regulars from the nearby offices that have great rapport with the friendly and busy staff. Their coffee offerings are solid, and they also throw in a piece of the Belgian chocolate selection they sell in addition to the normal cafe fare. There's not a ton of table space to hang out, but whether you get a chance to hang out or just drop in and out, they'll treat you well and give you good coffee and snacks. (and chocolate) read more

Cute, small hidden cafe that deserves more attention than its neighboring so-called coffee titan, SBUX. I tried their Moka Coffee, which is a blend of coffee and chocolate, and to accompany that, they provided a small complimentary chocolate (choice of dark, milk, white - I chose dark). It was perfect - no need to add or take out sugar. Perfect balance of smooth chocolate with fresh coffee. Bonus: it's so close to work, and they have these two small tables with high chairs that is great for a small coffee break with coworkers. Menu isn't extensive and neither is it cheap, but somehow, I feel better about paying for coffee here than I would at regular coffee joints. read more
