Very nice place to visit but I didn't enjoy my rose latte. The rose latte had some artificial flavor (I think to give it the pink coloring) that did not taste like rose very much. I really appreciate the type of business this coffee shop is in being half a coffee shop/half a flower shop, and the florist looked busy over designs of their beautiful flowers. We liked perusing the location when we stopped in and waited for our lattes. That being said, it could have just been my matcha latte and not a pertinent critique for those ordering coffee, but it seems like they keep either non-fresh or lower-quality matcha - my latte tasted very grassy, not nutty or sweet. The person taking orders also was also not friendly - I didn't feel comfortable asking more questions but it looks like the milk tea may have been a better bet if they offered it. The most important takeaway from my experience here was that Cafe Atelier was more than happy to use my reusable cups for my drinks!! Yayyy!! So I came for a BTS cupsleeve event and walked away not only with some nice BTS freebies, but two very delicious drinks and an equally delicious cookie. I tried their: * lavender latte, iced small, skim milk ($5.75) * strawberry latte, iced small, skim ($5.50) * matcha cookie ($5) You can't go wrong with both latte flavors, but one thing to note is that the strawberry is a lot sweeter than the lavender so if you order both, drink the lavender first because the strawberry can overpower the lavender taste. I tried the cookie when I was already home in Los Angeles, a couple days after I had bought it and wished I bought more! It was still soft and chewy! I walked here from one of the subway lines while exploring Chinatown so can't say much about parking other than it seems very limited on street parking. It's also a few steps away from the active fire station used in the original Ghostbusters movie, so BF enjoyed that little surprise when we were heading to Cafe Atelier! read more

The place was very cute and quaint (they even have plants and flowers for sale) but I felt like the deal was falsely advertised - as clearly this was no high tea. For 2 people we basically got 2 cups of tea (my iced team seemed watered down in milk), 2 large cookies (somewhat on the chunky/harder side), and a large scone and 2 mini scones. They are gave us a croissant sandwich to share. If I had gone for the purpose of the cafe, I may have given 3 stars but although the staff was pleasant and the place cute, food was ok and the deal was very misleading. read more

I came here with a friend because we wanted to do afternoon tea and there was a $30 for 2 coupon here! This is an Asian owned cafe, which was nice to see. The price of the afternoon tea was very cheap for the assortment of goodies that we got to have. We definitely couldn't finish all the food. After you pay the coupon, you just have to add tip and tax at the register. You have the choice of getting tea or wine with the food as well. The interior was really cute -- lots of flowers and candles (I think they also sell flowers and have candle making classes there). I asked her what sizes small and large drinks are and she pointed to the sample cups I did not see at first without a word or a smile. My friend asked what nondairy milk they had and she did the same to her by pointing at the board that she also did not see at first. Both of our drinks were very pricey. My friend got iced chai and did not even finish it because she did not like it. I got iced lavender latte which was fine. I stumbled upon this place on my way to work one day and decided to try it out. I only wanted a coffee, but then ended up getting a matcha cookie, a mini cookie set, americano and also the croffle. The americano was really good, so I would want to go back and possible try other drinks because they have some interesting lattes and specialty drinks. I would say the cookie can be skipped. Personally, they were too sweet for me. The matcha one didn't taste like matcha to me. It just tasted like a regular cookie, but on the dense side, but maybe because they were gluten free. The mini cookie set were also ok, but they tasted the same even though looked slightly different. Again, they were a bit to sweet for me, but they were smaller, so it was ok. I wasn't going to order the croffle at first, but then was curious to try it after seeing it on the menu. I initially wanted it to go and also wanted it without ice cream, but for some reason, they ended up giving me the croffle to stay WITH ice cream. I was ok with it because I just didn't want to eat ice cream in the morning, but since it was already there, I ate it anyways. I was surprised that the croffle came with 2 pieces, but then it would justify the higher price tag compared to other places. It also came with some strawberries and bananas. It felt like a breakfast for two honestly! The croffle here differs from other places because they don't coat their's in sugar, so the waffle tastes more on the savory side, but with the fruits and ice cream, the sugar is definitely not needed. When I first took a bite, it was crispy and buttery, definitely croissant like. It had the layers of a croissant even though it went through a waffle iron. It's definitely something to be eaten fresh because I took the second waffle to go (since it was too much) and by the afternoon, it was definitely not as crispy. But i definitely recommend sharing this unless you can finish 2 waffles with ice cream and fruit. I think the next time I come back, I would want to try out other drinks and possibly their shaved ice. There are a lot of variety of things to try and I love how it's combined with a flower shop which makes the place even more beautiful. You can buy non-food items there too such as candles, or even buy tea to bring home to make. I would recommend stopping by if you're in the area. read more

I was a bit skeptical before walking in because the pretty flower decorations outside made me wonder whether the quality or substance of the coffee would suffer. But I was pleasantly surprised because that wasn't the case at all. I ordered a cappuccino and the flavor was well-balanced - not too rich or light and deep enough to satisfy my taste. I challenge anyone else to find a florist open on a national holiday to take the order and arrange for same day local delivery. Cafe Atelier sent beautiful orchid plants for my friend and even gave them a choice of pot. The couple behind the great cafe ForGround in Midtown just opened another spot in a much nicer area in TriBeCa. They serve similar stuff like toasts and sandwiches and pastries, and most importantly, cookies from City Cakes. There is more variety here though for food, including an expanded menu at dinner time. For lunch I just tried the Kale Salad ($14), a great rendition that uses lots of organic tofu for a nice spin on the usual, and the Prosciutto Panini ($13), a simple, perfectly executed sandwich. Cafe atelier is the perfect place to go to live out your cottagecore dreams. This combination cafe and flower shop has the cutest decor, and the most comfortable seating! When you walk in, you are greeted by the ordering countertop, filled with several varieties of pastries (croissants, cookies, etc), and teas and coffees. The interior also has a little corner for purchasing different house plants like succulents and orchards, as well as a bouquet-making station filled with beautiful blooms and vases, where you can watch the lovely store owner put them together. The seating has little wooden stools, high bar stools, and comfortable couches, with different types of wooden tables to match. The only gripe I have is that there aren't too many outlets, and the wifi tends to be slow. The drinks are also delicious! I got the lavender latte last time, and that was very sweet and creamy, with good lavender flavor. This time, I tried the strawberry latte - it had great fresh fruit, but I prefer the lavender latte. The music is incredible, and it is great for vibing along as you read, work or eat some pastries. The prices are a bit steep, but I'd say its well worth for the lovely ambiance. read more
