    chocolate wine pairing flight

Cute small chocolate shop tucked into a random plaza. Upon entering, we were offered the opportunity to join in on the chocolate tasting that was happening. They gave samples of cacao nibs, cacao tea, and different types of chocolates. The experience was very interesting, tasty, and educational. The worker goes through random and interactive fun facts. You could also add on additional tastings such as a wine flight/chocolate pairing to go along with it. Afterwards, we were able to walk around the shop and try more samples that were scattered around the store before making purchases. I would recommend purchasing the cacao tea! This was extremely unique and delicious.

Wow. It's been a few days since our Sip & Pair experience at Mānoa Chocolate in Kailua and I'm still thinking about how amazing this was! For just $45pp you can book their wine and chocolate pairing experience. It comes with tasting of four of their chocolates, paired with different wines, and individual charcuterie boards for each person (also to be paired with the wine/chocolates). We were so full and extremely satisfied by the end of it. Everything was expertly paired and our server Josh was very knowledgeable about the different chocolates and wines. My personal favorite was the lavender chocolate. After the experience, you can even walk around their bar/shop area and try out their other chocolates and store items. We went home with the milk, lavender, and guava chocolate bars. Overall it was a 10/10 experience and i highly recommend booking the Sip & Pair if you want to try something fun and unique. The experience is perfect for date nights or a night out with your friends/girlfriends!

Super fun factor tour! Lots of chocolate tastings. The creator was even there and came out to talk to us and answer questions. Kid friendly and got to learn a lot about the chocolates process

This review is for both the factory tour and the Kailua storefront. Amazing chocolate grown and made right on the islands! This craft chocolate is incredibly smooth and "eatable", setting it apart from some other single origin/craft brands that can be a little tough on a non-chocoholic palate. I had first learned of this brand when I came to Oahu on a chocolate education tour put on by Dandelion, and I had to come back to the newly-finished factory this visit and share the joy with my friends. The factory tour is self-guided in a different part of Kailua and comes with a delightful souvenir and all you can eat chocolate fountain ;) We were lucky enough to see the owner, Dylan, working in the factory when our group was passing through. At the end of the tour is the shop where there are loads of chocolate souvenirs, more samples, as well as art prints and other chocolate-adjacent items. The Kailua storefront also offers wine pairings and educational tastings, and is a nice-sized, breezy visit for anyone in town. We sadly had to cancel our wine tasting due to our tight schedule but I really want to go back and give them a try the next time I visit. Definitely check them out!

Mānoa Chocolate was a highlight of our trip to Hawai'i. My husband planned a chocolate tasting here one Sunday evening. When we arrived, we were greeted by Molly. We sat at the bar, and she really made our experience great. Although, we came in with the intentions of only do a chocolate tasting, we ended up adding a wine flight to our experience. Molly paired our wines perfectly with the chocolates. We opted for the fruit-flavored wines, which consisted of the Liliko'i/Passion Fruit, Manakō/Mango, and Kuawa/Guava. All of them were really good, but we enjoyed the Guava wine and chocolate the best. We even purchased a bottle to bring back with us, which also came with a bar of chocolate and a complimentary gift bag. The chocolate flavors are also bold and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed Mānoa Chocolate so much, we ordered a few more bars of chocolate. They shipped them quick and we received them within three business days. They were in great condition, and none were melted. Overall, if you're in the area or just looking for great chocolate and wine, check them out. You won't be disappointed!

I'm not a chocolate person to be clear. I stumbled onto Monoa chocolate while waiting for a table at nearby Cinnamons (for the record is worth the 45-60 min wait). We were welcomed immediately and offered a free chocolate tasting that was just starting, W Sat is a square type bar setting with other guests and were served a small dixie cup of cocoa hot tea. You read that right...chocolate tea. I'm also not a tea person. Delicious! Long story short we were treated to 5 or so different chocolates, and a chocolate infused honey and peanut butter. They also offer wine tastings as well as private party tastings. At the End of the Day this was a classy experience and was a great way to spend the time. No I didn't buy chocolate because despite the fact that it was amazing it was a bit pricey for me and I'm just not a chocolate guy.

What a find! We were waiting for my sister to finish up at a local Pilates class and saw this Manoa Chocolate store where they have tastings and sell their homemade products of chocolate and even their own rum. Maggie was terrific as our host and the vibe was cool. We bought a bunch of chocolates for ourselves and as gifts for friends back home. The tastings were so much fun. We learned about the locations of where the chocolates were made and a little history as well. We enjoyed our time there and highly recommend this place. Check it out and spend some time here.

We came for the complimentary chocolate tasting which is offered every 10-15 min. This was such a good experience and our tasting host was so incredibly knowledgeable as well as very patient in explaining the subtle differences between each chocolate. I like that you're given something to drink to cleanse the palate between each bite. After the tasting, you're able to ask the staff for samples of any other flavor you'd like to try that's not already readily available on the shelves as you peruse the store. They had some pretty good deals on the chocolate bars where you get some bars free if you buy a total of 6 or 10 (with 10, you also get a free insulated bag with a cute design). They also offer free shipping over $75 but wait for a certain temperature wherever they're delivering to before they actually ship your goods so as the bars don't melt. This we found really appreciative as we live in Texas where it is hot and humid. The chocolate is quite delicious and we ended up buying quite a lot to bring home for ourselves and as gifts for family. The store seems small but it is well laid out, very colorful, and with so much variety that you can easily spend at least an hour trying to decide what all to get.

I can't believe it's been eight years since I've been here! After having breakfast next door, my friends and I were walking to our cars when I said I wanted to check out their new space. We walked in and were greeted warmly. I whispered that they will let you sample all the chocolates that interest you. She: We also offer wine pairings with chocolate tastings WHAAAAAAAT???? We did not hesitate to grab seats! We just ordered a glass of red and the lovely hostess started giving us samples she felt would work well, and she made some delicious choices! We were so giddy! She also let us sample the Cacao brew and it was like drinking chocolate cake! What a great way to end our visit! They offer chocolate education and tasting experience which we were able to watch, and it looked very interesting because there is history behind what they do. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area! Currently my favorite is the Kona Bar...hints of caramel, hibiscus, and hazelnut....sooooooo good! Oh, and this chocolate mac nut spread!!! Swooooooon! Of course I bought a lot before leaving! Mahlo Manoa!

Dropped by this business while waiting for a restaurant to open near by. Didn't know what to expect and pleasantly surprised. We were included into to a no fee chocolate tasting of locally grown cacao on Oahu and the other Hawaiian islands. We tasted at least 7 different chocolates, all tasty and interesting. Their friendly knowledgeable employee spent time explaining the process and the samples. They also offer Farm tours where the cacao is grown. Hawaii is the only state in the US with commercial grown cacao farms. Some the flavors are different based on the island. The tasting room is resembles a wine tasting room, with many different products to choose from. We chose a number of beautifully packaged items from the items we tasted.

Manoa Chocolate Factory is such a cool spot! The store itself is beautiful and colorful, and the whole vibe is super welcoming. One of the best parts was getting to try so many chocolate samples. They had a bunch out and we got to taste almost everything before picking what to buy. What really made the visit unique was their chocolate and alcohol pairings. I did the mead tasting. It was okay, not as sweet as I expected. My brother tried the liquor pairing and my parents did the wine one, which they loved. You can also buy the alcohol they use in the tastings right in the shop, which is awesome. Everyone working there was super friendly and helpful. We all ended up buying something to take home.

Manoa Chocolate Hawaii has grown since its start in Kailua several years ago. They initially offered chocolate tastings of various selections of their locally grown craft chocolate, and have expanded to offer pairings with select wines. You can try their wine flights on the regular menu, but they started offering a complimentary wine tasting and chocolate pairing on Thursdays. I received an email about this earlier today, so had to check it out. There were four wines for tasting (2 white, 2 red) and they were paired with several of the different chocolates offered that paired well with the wines. They were so good that I decided to order a separate wine flight pairing of reds, and I definitely left happy. The owner (Dylan) was there to expound with his knowledge about the chocolates and give insights on their product. He also mentioned that they are planning to renovate the showroom to start offering roasted coffees soon. This makes perfect sense to me, as chocolate paired so well with both wine and coffee. I look forward to this, and as a subscription holder, can't wait to see what more they will offer in the future.

How long (time) is the tasting tour, the on line $25 reservation package?

I think that this depends on how many people participate and how many questions there are. We were three people and it lasted between 30-45 min.

Parking can be challenging, in fact, super challenging. We went on a Saturday (the only day we…read morecould go) and there was no street parking. We saw some people illegally parked on the street right on the corner, but they didn't care, they would brave a citation just for these amazing treats! I am sure the neighbors who live across from this place think this is a massive headache, to have such a popular chocolate place right in their own neighborhood - either that, or a blessing, since they can just walk right across! There are 4 tiny stalls in the driveway in the front of the Doggie Bakery and this place, but it looks far too challenging to get in and out and onto the main street, which is insanely busy on a weekend. We parked in the neighboring lot and purchased something from another business just so we could get some chocolates here. If the parking situation were better, I'd come back. I purchased the Hokkaido Soft Serve (weekends only, I think), it was delicious but I was expecting more fatty mouthfeel for something that was labeled as "Hokkaido". It was lighter than I was expecting. The chocolates, on the other hand, were fabulous and worth every, expensive, penny. By the way, who the heck nowdays says "worth every penny"? Probably old folks like me who knew what a penny was, and now due to inflation and the Federal Reserve nixxing the penny, it's probably worth 0.0012 cents now. Rainbow Shave Ice - it really does taste like shave ice! I came here mainly for this, as I've heard the hype and the hype is real! Hibiki Whisky Chocolate - nice and lovely. Dubai Chocolate - with gold leaf and everything. The Dubai craze is insane. This was good, but the least of my favorites. Six chocolates + one soft serve = $30.

Chocolate fact: In 1847, the British chocolate company J.S. Fry & Sons, led by Joseph Fry and his…read moresons, created the first commercial chocolate bar. By mixing cocoa powder, sugar, and melted cocoa butter, they produced a moldable paste that solidified into a "chocolate délicieux à manger" (delicious chocolate to eat), revolutionizing the industry. Bringing peace to our world, one chocolate at a time. Got the sweetest gift from my Cycle Buddy, Randy S. There was a Spring Dubai Chocolate Bar, delicate mango slices dipped in chocolate, Classic Crunch a le'a (white chocolate, peanut butter, puffed rice cereal, marshmallows, toasted macadamia nuts, dark chocolate chips with a chocolate drizzle), and a trio of delicious truffles (one was definitely rainbow shave ice and two were these had an amazing Hibiki whisky filled center.
