Nice ambiance, enjoyed the Christmas music, and seemed like an authentic Mexican food experience. The food was very salty (got cheese enchiladas) and the chips were hard, even stale. The menu online said lunch specials were $12, but their prices have recently increased to $14. In the bathroom and in parts of the restaurant I noticed quite a few fruit flies/gnats. Came here with a large group for dinner. The weather was great so they sat us on the patio. As the sun set though, there was no lighting outside so it made it pretty difficult to see when eating. I got the strawberry frozen margarita and the El Tradicional meal. The marg was great and they spruce them up to look very cute. My meal was filling and overall okay. Presentation was not the best. This is maybe my 4th or 5th time getting Meal here. I love TOS place because they have a vegan menu. I always get the vegan enchiladas. The great thing is that they give you a spinach enchilada and a vegan cheese enchilada, so you get a lot of variety in the dish. They give you free chips and salads at the start of the meal. There is a lot of free parking, and a lot of seating inside. This was my first time to sit inside. It was alright inside, very quiet, kind of empty. We were seated at an award back table. The staff was really nice. Either way I will continue to come here because they have vegan options and the food is delicious! read more

I was initially impressed with the very impressive and authentic salsa and chips, and was equally impressed with the simple but very good crispy chicken tacos served with refried beans and rice. We had a fantastic time at Mannys for my boyfriend's birthday! The service was top-notch, (Guillermo was a great server ask for him), the atmosphere was just what we wanted. I didn't know they had outdoor seating, next time I visit I have to sit on the patio to enjoy the weather. So... you guys come to me and read my reviews for the realness... right?!... well here it is. This restaurant's food is completely garbage. I hate to say this, but there is honestly NO other way to explain this. The food is bland and flavorless. The queso, for one, is the consistency of thin glue and totally flavorless... The carne asada tacos were legit nothing but a tortilla and meat... that's it. The margaritas are decent, but that's it. The food is seriously for folks that have zero tastebuds. Everything was just... meh. The 45 minutes wait to be seated was such a letdown once we had food in front of us. Second time and last time here. Such a letdown for all of the hype this place has. I came in during lunch on a Friday. The service was incredibly fast!!! They have tons of $12 lunches specials. I ordered the fajita tacos and they were delicious. Fajita beef, sautéd onions and poblano peppers inside of 2 small tortillas with melted cheese. You can choose between flour or corn tortillas. Most lunch combos come with rice and beans. The taste was great but I was even more surprised at how fast the service was considering the place was packed. They have an indoor and outdoor area. We have been coming to Manny's for awhile but never wrote a review on them. There are few things I like about this restaurant. 1. Price value.. I am always surprised that you get so much for so little. 2. This is traditional Tex- mex fare. Nothing fancy. If you live in Texas you have your personal Tex-Mex place and this is ours. 3. Location, location. This place is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. This is place is big and has nice patio. I have come to appreciate Manny's food more in recent days. They are doing great in that regard. It's always hot, and the enchiladas actually have something in them, unlike my lifelong go to up on 75 in Plano. And I love the spinach enchiladas covered in mixed veggies with ranchera sauce. A reasonably healthy dish! On the downside, the evening hostess needs to up her game in the "friendly" department, and the wait service is either great or lackluster.
