Manny's has a really nice atmosphere--very laid-back and relaxing. Maybe a little TOO laid-back because the service was definitely slow. However, when our waiter did come to the table, he was very pleasant and provided great service. I tried the sampler platter, and it was pretty good. But the chips and salsa?! DELICIOUS! Definitely top-tier! The prices are a little on the higher side, so I'll definitely be back to give them another try...when my budget is a little larger. Overall, nice atmosphere, good food, and I'd visit again! read more

Our experience here was NOT good. The hostess was not friendly or welcoming. I had to get up and go find the hostess because we waited 20 minutes before someone greeted us. Didn't even receive a water or chips. After I told someone about us not being helped, it took an additional 5 minutes before someone got to us. They were not busy. I decided it was time for us to leave, and as soon as we got to our car they chased us down. Oh now you want our business?? The owner came over said they can get us whatever they want right now. Nothing was compensated. Not that we were looking for that, but with what just happened you think it would be offered. Our food literally came out in 2 minutes after it was put in. HOW... ?! Makes you wonder... The Owner makes sure to park his corvette right in front when that should be reserved for customers. This place is clearly not customer driven. And lastly, Soap didn't work in the bathroom. So how are staff supposed to wash their hands? Gross. This isn't the 1st Manny's restaurant. Not sure why there were so many issues but we will not be coming back. read more

Everything about this restaurant is satisfying. It's a bit upscale, and we came in not dressed up. Every person from the host to the manager was kind to us. Our waiter was fun, attentive, and professional. The fish was very tender and the sauce on it was very flavorful. Their ceviche was very fresh and also extremely flavorful. If you like spicy, they do have a good salsa to add to your meal. All the pics taken were after we dug in. Both dishes came out beautifully plated! read more

Visiting Plano for a work meeting and my brother picked me up from the airport to take me to my hotel. Had just enough time to grab a quick bite. When in Texas...tacos! Mannys is a nice upscale restaurant with scratch made dishes. We got the tacos De La something and they were fantastic!!! They came with this Smokey bean soup like side that went well with the tacos. I was impressed. Tacos are not just tacos in Texas! read more

I was taken here by a good friend for a birthday lunch. FOOD: I had a mango watermelon soft serve margarita to start. It is outstanding and has plenty of alcohol in it. My main entrée were the shrimp tacos. They were also very good. I like that they do not give you a ton of chips because to me that really dampen your main entrée. I deducted one star because the fried dessert tasted like it was fried in old oil. ATMOSPHERE: the place is beautiful and airy and open. It is good to have a business lunch, take a date or even have a celebration. SERVICE: our waitress was Stephenie. She was one of the best servers I've ever had. She introduced herself immediately and was very attentive the entire time without hovering. She gets five stars alone.! TIP: I would recommend sharing one soft serve margarita. Expensive but well worth it. read more

10/10 for the soft serve margs. I got the fajitas as well, which weren't great. BUT I will definitely return because the customer service and appetizers were great. It is also in a nice shopping center at city Line and they had a singer outside. Highly recommend sitting on the patio as well once it gets a little cooler. read more

My friends and I have been wanting to try the soft serve margaritas because why not. We ended up at Manny's for lunch. Nice establishment, nice location. The SS margaritas met our expectations. Definitely give those a try. We sat out on the patio so since the weather was decent. The margaritas were melting pretty quickly though. It wasn't very crowded, but our server was not on point. I'll just leave that there. The food was just okay. I believe my friends felt the same way. I had the lunch beef fajitas. I would definitely go again and try something different, however. read more

A story popped up in my news feed as I was scrolling regarding Mannys new concept. More Mex Less Tex. 20 years ago, Mannys established itself as a go to Tex Mex restaurant. I guess they are branching out to follow a trend of more interior Mexican and Latin American. The restaurant itself is attractive, spacious, comfortable and well designed. Located in a multi use complex amoung the State Farm buildings off Renner rd and Central expressway, you wouldn't know it was here, unless you knew. Hence, the advertising worked as the place was busy to have opened days ago. Our waitress was obviously inexperienced but, pleasant and got the job done. The seating was comfortable with views of the restaurant broken up strategically by the designers. Nice. The menu is extensive and to my surprise had quite a bit of Tex Mex. More interior Mexican and Latin American was covered in areas like chef specials. I was keeping my consumption down or probably would have opted for the short rib. It was served one table over and looked promising. I had the mole chicken enchiladas with rice and black beans. The mole was smokier and a little darker than others around town but good. My dinning partner had Redfish tacos on corn tortillas which were also very good. Overall nothing really great or wrong with Mannys Mexican Kitchen. However,it seems to have joined the club occupied by Mi Cocina and Glorias which aren't my fave style of food. My standard is just down the street at Popasitos. Finally we agreed that while good,we probably wouldn't rush back to Mannys Mexican Kitchen. You decide for yourself when you..... Go! Good Luck Manny read more

I have been here twice. Originally, I was going to give this place 3 stars, but my second visit is what dropped it to 1. The service was fine. Our server was nice. The food is okay, but it's not worth the price. The same goes for the drinks. Everything is overpriced and overhyped. They do give you free chips and salsa. On my first visit, I had the chicken flautas. They were okay. Just regular flautas, nothing exciting. They weren't bland, so that's a plus. They came with black beans and green rice. My wife had the mixed fajitas with steak and chicken. Same story. They were average. Not bad, but not great. They came with refried beans, Spanish rice, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and cheese on the side. I also had a mixed drink that cost more than it should have. It wasn't very memorable. It was okay, just expensive. The second visit is why this place gets 1 star. We ordered food online while we were at the watch party for the Mexico game. The estimated pickup time was 20 minutes, which I thought was reasonable. When I arrived, the manager kept telling me the food was almost ready. After stringing me along for about an hour, they finally told me they couldn't find my order. They canceled the order and refunded my money. I won't be coming back. read more

The margs were good. Although you have to hmmm sip/spoon the drink fast because it drips and melts fast. 16.50 is steep also. Queso terrible, quac was good I heard. chicken fajitas were not sizzling and my flatuas were disgusting. Sorry Mannys. I love the restaurant that was there before Mannys came in. New addition to cityline I definitely like the food better than the last Mexican restaurant that was there but definitely average Mexican. I work at Cityline so a co worker and myself went for lunch. They have an extensive lunch menu for $14 bucks and that's what we ordered from I had the Birria taco lunch plate Serving size is very small but perfect for me: All items were just ok. Nothing bad to say but the customer service and ambience is 5 stars for sure Free chips and 2 types of salsas I would go back to try the regular menu which is ALSO extensive with tons of choices read more

The reinvention of this restaurant was a good thing. Not sure if it was just a name change as I had never tried Fernando's. I will say believe the hype! They have the BEST soft serve and Texas margaritas. 1 will get you where you want to go. The food is pretty good, not the best but good. The service has always been good and accommodating. The waiters accidentally spilled a drink down my friend's back on her birthday and management made it right! I have been recommending this spot to everyone. Be prepared to wait if you do t have a reservation because they do get busy. read more

I stopped by on a friday afternoon and ofcourse i was here for the soft serve margaritas. Angel was our waiter and he was super attentive. This place has a real cute airy vibe. We were seated immediately. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Started with chips and salsa that was good. I had the garlic shrimp tacos which were good as well. The star of the show I tried both soft serves the guava swirl and the watermelon mango. Watermelon mango was my favorite. They said they change flavors every so often. The presentation of the drinks are beautiful. I definitely will be back when im in town. read more

I came here with a group from work for lunch and the consensus was the food was OK - three stars. The food is a little bit better than Fernando's, thats the place that used to be in the same spot. The decor is kind of outdated. They were actually really busy during lunchtime, which is great. I was surprised because I don't think they're the best food in city line but I'm happy for them since they're new. read more

The entrees tasted good, fresh, and were presented nicely. Queso was fully grease and not cooked correctly. It was hard and oily showing that it was cooked too hot. My favorite part was the soft serve margarita. I highly recommend the tajin rim with the mango soft serve and chamoy on top and the large entrees. The waitress was nice but the hostess staff seemed so uninterested and had sat us in a section different from our reservation. The service was slow and many of the staff seemed so young read more

My friends and I went on a Saturday night and it was packed, so definitely make reservations. Free chips and salsa are always a win, and the ambience was cute and lively. I got the blackened salmon and it was cooked perfectly medium. The mango sauce was sooo good, I just wish they gave more of it. The veggies and rice were just okay. I also tried the viral margarita swirl and was honestly surprised how good it was -- the chamoy topping really makes it, and the waiter even asked if I wanted to record before pouring it on lol. I recommend the guava/pineapple swirl! Only cons was the wait for a refill on waters and the wait on the check. Without the margarita swirls, I'd say it's a pretty standard Tex-Mex spot. read more

I can't express how sad I was when Fernando's closed, but felt revived when I heard Manny's was on the way to fill the empty space. The interior has been completely refreshed - more elegant with cooler temperature colors and less wood tones. Service was excellent and we had several managers stopping by to check on us throughout our lunch. The lunch menu provides several options at the $14 price point (as of March 2026). I had chicken fajita tacos and found the plate portions perfect for a filling lunch that was neither too much or too little. In this economy, I felt it was a good value. read more

After being a regular and twice weekly (at least) customer at the Campbell Rd location for years, I quit Manny's altogether after very rude, inattentive service from both a server and manager to whom I complained. Haven't been back in years. So a friend decided to come here for a birthday. I thought I'd give it a try. Long wait. Mediocre food. Canned or vacuum packed chicken in enchiladas etc with no flavor. Horrible queso that tasted like that canned "queso." Yuck. Everyone agreed that queso should be the ONE THING a TexMex restaurant should do well. We all hated it. Salsa too was probably bottled. Drinks were SLOW to arrive, tea rarely refilled. I sat with an empty iced tea for 2/3 of the time. Why on earth people wait here, get slow service, and honestly subpar food is a puzzle. And don't bother to raise an issue with a manager, or try to call the owner, because after multiple messages they never bother to respond. I was a fine dining manager for 20plus years in the city's 2 top grossing establishments, so I don't have unrealistic expectations, at all, because I worked initially as a server and maitre'd, but I also recognize uncaring preparation and service. Go to MI COCINA OR FRANKIE's. Same prices, WAY better food and service. read more

First visit to this location. Upscale atmosphere with comfortable seating. Upscale prices. Mostly upscale clientele.
