The meal I had was big and it was very tasty. The meal is filling. I had the Manny's cheese burger meal. From my understanding this establishment has been around for quite sometime in this Norfolk, Va area. It's a quaint walk up restaurant, nothing fancy. We were in town for a concert and wanted to try a local favorite. Chain restaurants can be so boring. So we found this little place. OMG!!!! The absolute best ONION RINGS and SWEET TEA. As soon as I passed this place I knew I needed to try it. It was Friday around 1pm and all the local construction workers were lined up to place an order so I knew it had a reputation in the city. I ordered the Manny Combo which is a burger, large fry and drink for 5.99, though there was a long line, it moved quickly and orders were served fast too! My burger was juicy, cooked perfectly and loaded with toppings. I enjoyed every bite & the sweet tea was perfect too! The fries however tasted really funny, I couldnt seem to put my finger on what the strange taste was but maybe a change of grease would resolve it. Easy Review to write! It Starts with YUM! There are no bathrooms or dining area to review it's a shack that shoots out yummy burgers. The Manny Burger is a smashed beef patty topped with the norm and a slice of ham the flatgrilled burger is well done but not dry a nice dab of mustard hooks it up nicely. There is always a small crowd but they are quick and for a treat try the onion rings, if any fast food place wants to turn their sinking quality and sales around they could do worse than a trip to Manny Burger with its great food and simple menu! read more

Ok, so I went here based on the great reviews given by others. Let me start off with my girlfriend and I both were extremely disappointed with this lack-luster burger. We both got a cheeseburger each to our specific liking. Mine had lettuce, tomato, onion,ketchup, and mustard. The mustard was the only flavor the burger had. The patty tasted store bought and had no flavor and was extremely thin. It reminded me of a watered down version of Whataburger. As my friend stated "I feel like I'm going to throw up after eating that," however we both felt sick after eating there. The fries didn't have any salt on them at all and were basically taken out the grease and put in the container. Overall the food was TERRIBLE and I don't know what any of the other reviewers ate because our food was past sub-par. read more

This is a no frills place with just a walk up window where they make your food to order. I LOVE their fried chicken sandwich and onion rings. Best onion rings I've had in a long time. The sandwich is huge; on a round bun with probably close to a 6 inch diameter. The chicken is always fried perfectly and fesh. Their prices are very reasonable. I love Manny's! Though I do wished they seasoned their burgers, its still better than anyone around. The Manny Burger kills it with the slice of ham. My favorite though is probably the steak and cheese sandwich. Bascially a philly steak on a hamburger bun. Never lets me down. The chicken sandwich is huge and tasty. Love their popcorn chicken and chilli cheese fries as well. And they're cheap! I can never choose just one sandwich so I always order two and save the other one for dinner or lunch the next day. Now that I am a little bit wiser and older I have taken the recommendations of all my friends and family members and made Manny Burger a staple in my line up. For Five dollars you can get the Manny burger comb that comes with a large burger topped with fried ham, onions, lettuce and mustard, fries and a drink. The other menu items are good as well. I ordered a double cheeseburger hold the tomatoes, lettuce with ketchup and mustard on the side. While taking my order she rolled her eyes and repeated it back in a very condescending matter.
