Tap area

Located in the palace shop, the Ghent is a hidden gem. Unbeknownst to me it is more like a tap house. Getting help was a struggle, I explained to the server that this was my first time but she was in a hurry so she didn't explain the process. So you have to scan a QR code to place your order and pay with the credit card. Then they will bring your food out to you after you pay. You have to get up and get your own water from a stationary water station. The salad was really good. The wings were good with just the right amount of sauce. The acoustics inside the restaurant are terrible. You have to yell to have a conversation.

What a cool place! Beer, wine, and ciders, along a serve-yourself bar. Each one is labeled with the price per ounce, and it keeps running total as you pour. You can serve yourself as little or as much as you want. It's a great way to be able to taste test a variety of different options. You can order menu items from your seat, and they have plenty of happy hour specials. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a vegan pizza on the happy hour menu! There are two stories, with lots of seating. Staff were super friendly and helpful! They also have vendors with crafts and other items for sale on the weekend. We really enjoyed this experience!

Was here for the Latte Ladies Club event named Pour Into Your Platform and was very content with how the workers were there to serve or answer questions about items at any given moment. I ordered the San Antonio Quesadilla : I feel as thought this dish could've been spiced up a tad more as it didn't deliver as much of a punch I was anticipating for the way it was described on the menu.

The Ghent is a unique restaurant/bar that has a mix of food, drink, and atmosphere that appeals to a variety of people. I bright my two sons while checking out the area and they were both pleased that they offer table games to play while you wait. The food was good, you order from a QR code on the table and the drinks are self poured using a card they give you when you check in. The rooftop dining area was empty as it was too cold to really enjoy a meal outside, I can see this being a really popular establishment in the warmer months! I would visit again but probably just for drinks, the pizza (wish I had taken a pick) had something to be desired but we still really enjoyed our experience

Such a cool place to have a quick bite and lots of drink options! Seating is first come, first served. We sat upstairs on the patio and at 5:15pm we had the place to ourselves. Self serve taps, order via the QR code and they bring the food out to you. A nice, chill vibe. Will definitely be back again!

Omg! This place was an unexpected find and I will definitely be returning. The service was phenomenal and the food was even better. The rooftop area is beautiful and I love the self-serve area from plates, utensils, and the self-pour drinks!

This place is a truly a hidden gem for wings. I go here often now just for take out of the wings. They're always crispy, saucy, and full of flavor. I've had the lemon pepper, the buffalo, and the Korean bbq. The Korean bbq is absolutely fantastic! I love them all, but that Korean bbq is just utterly delicious. Whenever I come inside for take out the service is amazing. Always a smile on their face, and so welcoming. Also, it's very clean inside and seems like they take very good care of everything. I feel so relieved eating from a place that shows they care about the environment. The food has been super consistent, and I believe they'll keep it up. I'm for sure a fan

The Ghent has been on my list for some time now. I'm so glad that we were able to visit. We arrived on a Thursday right at 6pm, the apps were 25% off. The host was very accommodating and helpful to ensure we understood the laws of the land of self pour and how pricing worked. He even gave us some of his cider recommendations. I settled on the Downeast Cider "Strawberry" with a splash of the Watersedge apple wine. Food STOP IT! The food was absolutely next level ahhmazing! Caroline our gorgeous waitress was extremely helpful. I asked her what she recommended and I knew I was set up for greatness when she started her response with "GIRL!".. Without hesitation Caroline responded with "Korean pork belly tacos"! She went on to describe the tenderness of the pork belly and its "chocolate like" melt in your mouth tendencies. BOOM! I had to order it along with a "Hot Honey Prosciutto Pizza", and "Shrimp Poboy Pizza" for hubs. Food was omg ahhmazing! Everything... So satisfying! Korean pork belly tacos on point as Caroline mentioned, and the pizza, so fresh, and so delicious. Service See above, the host was great, Caroline was great, the entire staff was engaged and helpful all around. Once seated at the table, you hit the QR code and order & pay for your food via app. The QR code and app is connected to the table you are seated at, so don't go roaming around after ordering. Ambiance The chillest place ever, roof top option with self serve pour on the top and bottom. So many options, something for everyone. I can't wait to go back!! I definitely need to purchase some swag.

Loved just loved the environment of this place! You can choose and pour your own alcohol beverage. You receive a card, and you pour accordingly. The price is what you make it. They have an upper level rooftop. We arrived on a Sunday. It was a very windy day, so I wanted to dine indoors. So we dined on the first level. At each table, they have a QR code on each table for the food menu. The food was good. I had the lemon pepper wings with a delicious walnut and cranberry salad. Super delicious! The food and service were prompt. They had so much to choose from. A selection of beer, wine, cidar as well as spiked soda. Wowww pretty impressive. They also have games to play, and they sell clothing attire such as tee shirts and sweatshirts. I really loved the vibes I was feeling here. I can see this place getting very crowded on the weekends. Especially Friday and Saturday. This will definitely be one of my spots once I relocate to the area. Can't wait to return. There is plenty of free parking available.

My husband and I decided to have a quick lunch date and stumbled upon this place. We were pleasantly surprised by the décor, location, and overall atmosphere. The hostess was fantastic, and our server genuinely cared about our experience, even recommending some of her favorite dishes. We enjoyed tasting the beer and wine selections. It's a great spot to relax, watch football, or grab a board game from the entrance to play with friends and family while sipping a cold draft beer. The upstairs area was a highlight with its patio deck.

Pork Belly Tacos

Eeeeeek this was so good!!!! I had heard the food was good, but every single thing we ordered was GREAT from the pizzas to the pretzel to the tacos and a couple of dips. The Buffalo Chicken pizza was one of my favorites I've ever had, and I really loved the pesto sauce base. The crust was SO perfectly crisp on the bottom, and I found myself thinking I wasn't sure if I've ever had such a perfectly cooked pozza crust. The pretzel also had a nice little crisp on the outside while still being soft and fluffy on the inside. The concept is perfect if you are dining with a group and paying separately, or doing a more casual get together. I'm hoping they get some more heating units spread out on the rooftop patio so it can still be utilized throughout our mild winter here, because the space was beautiful. (There's currently one row of heaters against the building covering a couple of picnic tables. We picked one of those for our first really cool night of the year and sat our chillier members on the side closest to the heater.) Service was great. They were very helpful explaining the pour your own beer set up when we walked in. There are beer taps both downstairs and up. You order food via the QR code on the table, which brings the food specifically to that table, and also allows you to pay via your phone. No more waiting for busy servers if you need to cash out or order more items, and it's easy to keep checks separate for groups. Despite everything being pretty automated, the human servers were ON IT and, bless them, up and down those stairs very frequently to bring out food as it was ready, check in on if we needed anything, and clear plates as they were emptied. They had several football games on plenty of BIG tvs, so while this is not why we went, it's a good spot for that. Especially if you're with friends who don't *really* care about sports because the food is phenomenal and should keep everyone happy. We are looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu!

Pravash M.

Gastropub done right. Great ambience with extra rooftop seating setup. Self pour taps of beer, wine, seltzer, etc. Digital food menu made to order with daily specials. $10 burger was delicious -- sirloin flat top grilled, mmm. Owners are community minded and hosted a benefit for our local little league. Bonus, it was trivia night and home run derby was showing on majority of HDTVs.

Pimento cheese burger

Came here to watch a football game that leads to my only complaint, you can't hear the TV outside! They should probably get some outdoor speakers. But I'm guessing the point is really to have more of a quiet and talking atmosphere unless let's get ready and watch a football game vibe. The food was actually pretty good! I wasn't expecting that. I really enjoyed my pimento cheeseburger. I normally don't get 2 patties but for some reason, it was perfect for this. They have indoor seating and obviously outdoor seating because it's a rooftop bar. You have to use toast to order the food. Use the QR code at the table. Somehow, you have to leave a tip or they'll charge you a tip? I really couldn't figure that part out The self-pour is pretty easy. They start a tab for you, give you a little card and all you do is plop it in there and pour away! They have wine, seltzers, and beer! Not to mention some sodas in a can. All in all, I thought it was a pretty cool place. And I did like the fact that didn't have blaring music or it was too loud, but like I said, I wouldn't come here to watch a game. Not loud enough!

The space is intimate and cozy with side-by-side counter seating right in front of the open kitchen -- perfect for watching the chefs at work and adds to the whole experience. The pollo con strati was perfectly cooked and the lobster gnocchi was phenomenal -- rich, indulgent, and definitely worth ordering a side of sourdough bread for dipping in the sauce! To finish, the cheesecake with berries was a delightful end to the meal -- creamy and just sweet enough without being heavy. Service was attentive without being intrusive and the ambiance complemented the food beautifully. This place is small and fills up fast, so reservations are a very good idea, but snagging a seat at the counter made our night feel special and lively. To me, this is a pretentious restaurant that falls below the bar in every way. Second time dining here and would not return because service from Branice C. was a C- in her caring that she was even at work, to the upcharges for extra marinara sauce to go with the greasy overbreaded calamari appetizer. The oil saturated flavor was almost nauseating. Please change the oil in your fryer! Prices were not excessive but the upcharge for using a credit card was. Who really walks around with $300 cash in pocket to pay for dinner without a credit card fee. JUST ADD IT IN YOUR MENU PRICES!!!! The Boar Ragu was truly not boar but probably run of the mill ground beef and the four tiny slices of steak on the Caesar salad was a joke. There are so many other lovely restaurants along this block that this is a skip right past for the future.

We asked where the grapes came from and she explained that some came from Chile, some from California (I believe) and other places, and that she blends them here. (This would be expected with no attached vineyard.) The place was very clean, and the restrooms were easily accessible and spacious. The price of the flights was a mere $5 for six communion cup sized samples -- you choose 6 of I guess 12 - 15. Mulled wine is a welcome option on a winter day.
