Food was delicious! Big portions. Quick and attentive service! Ambience was quiet (we were the only ones there for lunch) but great decor and inviting. From the outside, the building looked closed. Whole parking lot was empty. Restaurant was hidden in the back. I think if more people knew this restaurant existed and easier to see from the road, they would get more customers. Definitely worth coming back here to try more things! I definitely come back just for the empanadas!
Came for happy hour with friends. We tried all the dishes for happy hour. Our sever was very attentive. The ambulance is nice. Great spot for date night or ladies night. The shrimp was great. We got 2 orders of those. I'm not a fan of mussels but the sauce that they come in was soo good!! The burrata was good. The glaze on top of the greens, cheese and fruit was a great addition. The empanadas were great also. Crust was flaky and light, the inside was full of meat. The ceviche was ok. The guacamole was fresh and the chips were good. Can't go wrong with the steak bites. You definitely get enough steak. My friends and I split them. The expresso martini was really good too. We were celebrating a birthday so the birthday girl ordered the creme brulee and another friend ordered the chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was the favorite of the group. Great spot for happy hour!
A friend of mine told me months ago how amazing this restaurant is. I definitely wish I had checked it out sooner! We planned an early Valentine's date for a recent Friday evening. I highly recommend reservations for dinner - the restaurant is not that big and it was packed. They maximize space too - very little room to wait for your table if the weather is not ideal. We were seated close to our reservation time and quickly greeted to ask for drink orders. Service was prompt and polite but our server wasn't very engaging or friendly. He just did what he was there to do. We ordered drinks and the ceviche appetizer. My Malbec was outstanding - one of the best I've had. Hubby had a draft IPA from Wasserhund. The ceviche was good and a large portion for 2. For entrees, I had the grilled chicken and hubby tried the filet. After a bite of his, I wish I had ordered that! The chicken was good and cooked well but this is definitely the place for steak! The filet was out of this world - cooked perfectly and melt in the mouth tasty. He said it far surpassed any steak he's had locally. On Sundays, they have a BOGO half off filet special and we will definitely be back for it!

The décor gives that modern Latin vibe -- perfect for date night, girls' night, or even a birthday dinner. Which we went for an Influencer night The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Everything came out fresh, beautifully presented, and seasoned just right. You can tell they take pride in both the taste and the presentation. The drinks were just as impressive -- crafted perfectly and definitely worth trying if you enjoy a good cocktail. Customer service was top tier. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. We never felt rushed, and they were happy to answer questions about the menu. If you're looking for a spot in Chesapeake with great food, strong drinks, and a fun vibe, La Oficina is definitely a place to check out. I'll definitely be back!
We had a reservation at 3:30 for Valentine's day and got there about 10 minutes early but we were seated right away. The atmosphere was interesting. It presents as a fancier restaurant, but the walls did not match (if that makes any sense). We were in and out of the restaurant in less than an hour. The food was amazing and came out so quickly. The steak and chicken were so juicy. The roasted potatoes definitely needed some salt and pepper but once that was added it was fine. The caesar salad was different but the presentation was beautiful and tasted even better. The crème brûlée was a little burnt on the top but was still good. We will 100% come back on special occasions.
This place will definitely give you a nice dining experience. The service was great! The food was delicious! I had the mussels to start sans bread. They have a blue cheese butter sauce that comes with it - I know that combo sounds interesting, but it was AMAZING!! For my entree, I had the grilled chicken with yucca fries and green beans. They ask if you want extra onions and mushrooms - get it! Everything was seasoned well. I did end up using some ketchup for the fries, but the chicken was favorable and the veggies were tender. The green beans are sautéed so none of that blanched stuff here! For dessert, I had to try the crème brûlée. It was so good, several of friends sampled mine! The presentation is everything! They caramelize the sugar table side!! They have a bar area, and a good amount of tables. I'm doing dry January so I didn't have a drink, but they have several cocktails to try when I come back. I ordered the French pork chop to go. My husband said was super tender!
The service is ok. The decoration was impressive as it gives an accommodating ambiance, Great for date night or a friends hang out . My only complain would be although service was ok out of the 3 people we mostly witness as staff only one looked cheerful enough towards their customers. The host and our waiter were very dry. I don't recommend getting fish from there my fish was dry and lacked flavor. I didn't take my left overs because it was over cooked so I can't fix it home. The steak meals were delish. I really like the tenderness and juicy flavor.
Friday nights are always hard to decide where to eat. We love to try different places and this time my husband decided to choose and we tried La Oficina for the first time. It was a great choice. The happy hour menu had a lot of choices, the drinks were amazing and while there wasn't a lot of GF choices, I did enjoy the Ceviche Mahi Mahi and it was great. I'll definitely order it again. The atmosphere was great! we sat by the bar though next time I'd like to sit at a table. The service was spot on very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!
First time here and I'm glad I tried it. I had the regular ribeye cooked rare and hubby had the filet rare as well. The ribeye was thinner that usual which I'm assuming is a cost saving measure. The ribeye was very flavorful. For sides I had the mashed potatoes which was creamy and good as well as the green been which I would not recommend. The green beans came out cool and soggy. Hubby had the fries and asparagus, he indicated they were ok.

Shared steak bites (my fave), burrata, guacamole, and beef empanadas (small/ perfect for tapas) & we paired these with crafted margaritas (my sister and I are very picky about our margaritas and these were so good). There were seafood options and other drinks for happy hour that i wanted to try.... so i will definitely be returning !
My husband and I came here for a date night, and we were just blown away. EVERYTHING was delicious (if you don't get the empanadas, you're missing out). I had the picanha and he had the ribeye. Both amazing. The ambiance is great, the staff even better, and the happy hour and weekly specials can't be beat. Excited to have something to amazing in Chesapeake, and not having to go out to VB or Norfolk all the time.
The service, the food, the atmosphere, the happy hour....All amazing! We've been back 3 times now and this has become our new date spot. I love their blue cheese sauce mussels, their steak and chimichuri sauce and their chips and guacamole. The cocktails are yummy too.
Wow!! We just happened to be in the area one Saturday and were hungry. So of course, YELP it is! We got super lucky stumbling onto this place. We wanted steak, and this looked really interesting. We were NOT disappointed!!! The restaurant is beautiful! Clean and family owned. My favorite kind of place. Service was amazing! So friendly and they were on point the entire meal, they even took the time to explain how things were made. We started with a house salad and a Caesar. And we were glad we did! The house salad comes in a very different presentation. It's a little tough to cut on the narrow plate, but I can forgive that. The veggies were fresh and that house dressing is incredible! Hubby always gets a Caesar, and most are pretty standard. But this?! He was blown away. Instead of croutons, they use panko crumbs on top of a whole romaine head. The flavor was outstanding! Definitely homemade dressing. I ordered the filet with mashed potatoes and Hubby had the NY Strip with fries. My filet was a perfectly cooked mid-rare and those mashed potatoes were so fluffy. I could have eaten a bucket of them! The Strip was the perfect rare, which isn't easy to do correctly. What really sets things apart though are the homemade sauces that accompany the steak. One is a chimmichuri which was perfectly balanced. The other blew my mind! It tastes garlicky, and finishes with a little pleasant heat (I am not a fan of spicy hot). Come to find out it's all a blend of peppers. No garlic at all. Just WOW! And as if the experience couldn't get any better, they have crème brûlée on the menu (our favorite!). They even burn the sugar layer right in front of you. Overall a fantastic experience. We will definitely be back. Don't miss this one!!

Im glad our friends at Maracaibo recommended this spot because it was absolutely a perfect spot for dinner and this place was perfect. Perfect spot for date night or just a casual night out with your significant other. Ambience was nice and pleasant to the eyes. I ordered the NY Strip with fried plantains & rigatoni. Steak was cooked perfectly and matched perfectly with my old-fashioned. Fried plantains were perfect as well as the rigatoni. Service was also top-notch as well. My husband took me here for my birthday. It was delicious! Good quality steak, appetizers, and sides. It is pricy but you pay that for good quality food. Service was also good. Very moody and classy on the inside. Will definitely visit again. read more

Came here to try their Frenched pork chop as I was craving pork chops as usual. I saw this place had great reviews so I decided to try it. I just need a main dish as I had salad to eat at home. I phoned in my order and ordered it with roasted potatos, green beans, and added mushroom and onions after the order taker offered it. The order was ready in about 20 minutes. The interior of the restaurant is kind of dark but it looked like a more fancy bar/gastropub setting. I paid for my order near the bar area and my order was bagged within a few minutes. When I received the take out bag, I immediately was disappointed that it wasn't heavier. When I got home, I realized what they lacked in volume was made up for my taste. The pork chop was perfectly cooked, the sauces that came with the dish were amazing, the green beans were deliciously seasoned and perfectly cooked. The roasted potatoes were just normal and the mushrooms and onions took the pork chop to a higher level as well. Overall, I was really impressed with the taste of the food. Although I would have wanted more food, what I got was perfectly acceptable. Will definitely be coming back here again before I leave the area. read more
Everything we eat here is a 5 star. Let me start with the octopus with black risotto appetizer so delicious. The picanha is delectable all 8 slice perfect medium rare my kida love it. Mahi mahi is so tasty. The ribeye yummy and the chicken too. Must order side is the mash potato, I've been to many restaurants mash potato here is best yet. Our first. We were enticed by the appetizers and unique menu (unique for the area). We shared the octopus appetizer which was delicious. The black risotto was a shoe stopper. The lunch specials are the real deal - $16! And delicious. Hubby has three amazing picanha tacos with green rice. I opted for the picanha steak(s) and sides of house salad and green beans. The meat was good and cooked on point for both of us. My meal was a little salty for me but I also don't use much salt. The restaurant is both lovely and kitschy, elegant and relaxed. My husband and I visited during happy hour and it was phenomenal. My husband and I both really enjoyed the shrimp appetizer and the mussels appetizer. Very garlicky, and so much flavor. The bread set the appetizers off. I tried the picanha happy hour special and it was very tough, but flavorful. I also enjoyed the roasted potatoes. My husband ordered the picanha tacos and they were tender, he enjoyed the tacos. We also orders happy hour drinks and were very pleased. We will definitely be returning. Honestly nothing was special about this place. The meals were just ok. The drinks were good. For desert I got a pistachio cake which looked too perfect. Decided to look it up and they sell that exact cake at restaurant depot. I guess I expected something made in house. read more

5 star! Our family tried this new (er) restaurant tonight in Chesapeake for a birthday dinner and we were beyond pleased! Everything from service, presentation of food, taste of appetizers, to steaks cooked to perfection... OUTSTANDING! We tried the ceviche Mahi mahi as well as the Caesar salad for appetizers. They were both amazing. Only recommendation serve the ceviche with a spoon to be able to experience the full taste. I have never seen Caesar salad plated this way and it was delightful. Main course- we have 2 filet and a NY strip, 2 cooked medium and 1 med/rare. Every one of them was cooked to perfection. Topped with mushrooms and onions was an added bonus and delicious. The sides - rigatoni, fries, shrimp, mashed and roasted potatoes were all again delicious and cooked to perfection. Ended the dinner with a surprise chocolate cake with a twist. Light and so good especially after a filling dinner. Overall so impressed with the restaurant and our server, Esteban, was great!! read more

My second visit in less than a month. It is an amazing experience. You've got to try the picanha steak, its enough for Four. Amazing amount of food and it is a bargain. Comes with two sides plus you gotta add the mushrooms. Loved the octopus over garlic polenta. Drinks are pricey, but excellent and well-crafted. Service is always friendly and attentive. read more

The food was perfect. Green beans wasn't special but the mashed potatoes definitely was. The pork chop was flavorful. The amazing thing about the pork chop being flavorful is that you really have to add flavor and know what you're doing with a frenched pork chop because the fat is removed from it. The fat is where most meats get its flavor so it was very impressive how flavorful and juicy the pork chop was. I loved the food. The service hose er was below average. It's one of those places where gratuity is included so that just makes sense. Restaurants that automatically include gratuity usually have subpar service because the servers don't really have to work for their tips...it's INCLUDED. Overall....excellent and dining. read more

After seeing such rave reviews on TikTok decided to check it out for dinner. Please don't let the exterior detour you, it's in a strip mall but once inside you are transported to a Brazilian salon. While the interior is dark and moody it serves to enhance an amazing dining experience. The service was amazing the waitress gave great recommendations and even better service. She along with the team of servers ensured we felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant. I started with a Paloma to drink the grapefruit flavors with the clean crispness of the tequila was #chefskiss. Appetizer courses consisted of the grilled octopus, if you don't have the octopus were you even at La Oficina . It was so full of flavor and came highly recommended by the waitress. The main course was 42oz picanha with grilled mushrooms and onions, house roasted potatoes, and green beans. And I almost forgot the chimichurri sauce which was amazing I could have drank it...lol. This meal was amazing and very reasonably priced. I will definitely go back and gladly eat and drink k my way through the entire menu. This is definitely a hidden gem in Chesapeake. Nearly perfect in every way. We arrived during happy hour and had a fantastic meal with some very nice discount prices. (The Happy Hour menu is not posted on the website for the Chesapeake location, but it appears to be the same as for the Virginia Beach restaurant.) The ambience is classy, not pretentious, and still comfortably casual. I loved the video images of a roaring fire on the large flat screen TVs mounted over the bar: it gave the dining area a real "steakhouse" atmosphere. We were seated at a two-top with very comfortable barrel-style chairs. The cocktail menu is extensive and creative and there are many good wine options, as well. Complimentary house-made chimichurri and a spicy pepper condiment were placed on the table shortly after we were seated. One recommendation is that the ramekins have saucers underneath them to catch spills. Some olive oil from the chimichurri spilled as it was being placed on the table and it spread over several inches until we blotted it with a cocktail napkin. Steamed mussels were served in a divine white wine and bleu cheese sauce. (We needed to use our bread plates for the empty shells which was slightly awkward.) The mussels came with a few slices of toasted bread, tasty but not enough to soak up all the luscious sauce that was left behind when the mussels were finished. These should be served with a spoon to further enjoy the sauce. We made-do with empty mussel shells until our servers brought us spoons. The mahi-mahi ceviche was also fantastic, topped with finely slivered pickled red onion and sliced avocado in a creamy sauce; this should come with a spoon, as well! The sauce is way too good to waste! Our filets were perfectly cooked at a medium rare doneness, and they were seasoned well before grilling. The mashed potatoes were deliciously savory and buttery. The side of asparagus consisted of the thinnest baby asparagus spears I have ever been served. A few of them were a little woody but they were still delicately seasoned and tasty. I tried a side of boiled yucca: the vegetable itself lacks flavor, but it came with the aforementioned shredded red onion and finely diced pickled red peppers that made the dish more savory. The pepper and chimichurri condiments helped, as well. Finally, the creme brûlée desert was expertly brûléed at our table by our server, Joan who was extremely polite, courteous, and attentive for the entire meal. We had reservations for 3 on a Wednesday early evening at 5pm. It was easily made online. They weren't really busy but by the end of our dinner they had many more people on the other side with the bar. Our servers were super nice. The restaurant was decorated nicely. It was clean. I loved that they have a happy hour menu with selected apps and drinks. I ordered a mojito. We ordered the steak bites for an appetizer. This was plated with minimialism in mind, strips of steak atop a slice of potato. It was good, especially with their house made chimichurri and spicy steak sauce. Our son ordered the chicken tenders and French fries. I will say they served way too many fries, I just didn't want to see fries go to waste. I ordered the burrata appetizer and this was delicious. I ordered the steak tacos and hubby ordered the mahi mahi tacos. Both came with rice and was yummy. The tacos were delicious!! Side Note: I came here about a week ago with a friend and they had to turn us away because the power went out. They gave us a creme brûlée on the house for not being able to take us that day. This was a sweet treat. Great service. Yummy food! menu is a bit limited but I'd rather have a limited menu than too many items not quality. Can't wait to go again! read more
