I have known Ata for two years and am so glad I found him. I made an appointment today and he explained to me that I'd need a different sort of expert (furnace with a plumbing licence) to check out my problem. He always educates me whenever he has helped me with a job and today was no different. Now I know the right questions to ask Associated Heating. I was ready to pay Ata for his visit (after all he came on a service call!) but he prefered to just let me know the right people to contact and educated me as to the sort of qualifications they should have in order to make a qualified and informed report. I know he's pretty much the only person I review on Yelp, but I haven't ever felt so taken care of and want to make sure people know he rocks! Seriously, if you have plumbing issues in SF (Monday - Wednesday) you should seek his services. read more

My friend just moved into a new apartment building and Mr. Manneh is the on-call plumber for her building. She gave me his card when my kitchen sink was leaking all over the place and I gave him a call right away. He happened to be in my area and came about 1.5 hours after I called him, even though I indicated it was not urgent. He found the problem within the first minute - my hose was leaking - and saved me a lot of money by not replacing the faucet. The only thing that needed replacing was the pull-out hose/spray. He was done in about 15 minutes. Very professional and respectful to me and my home. Cleaned up after the job. I'm lucky to have found him. It turns out that he services hundreds of apartment building units throughout SF. read more

Manneh Plumbing - Plumbing Near Me

We had a tricky plumbing situation that the first plumber we called refused to help with. Ata consulted with me over the phone and by text to fully understand the issue, and what solutions were possible. By the time he arrived I was confident in the solution and the price. He was courteous, efficient and did a very good and clean job. I highly recommend his services. read more

Called Ata because of all the rave reviews written here. Called him on last week and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday at 6pm. Left work early, sat around, no show, no phone call. Get a call at 8:30 pm saying his phone had issues all day and he was unable to call. Ok, no problem, things happen. I reschedule and request an appt for Thursday and he said he's not working that day, so we scheduled it for Friday at 5pm. It's now Friday at 6pm. No show, no call, so I decided to give him a call to see where he is only to have him say "Oh, sorry, I decided to work on Thursday instead of Friday, I forgot we had an appointment." No communication. Unprofessional. Unreliable. I now have an unresolved issue in my home that I could have taken elsewhere 5 days ago. read more

This is one of those reviews where five stars doesn't come close to capturing the awesomeness of a business; Manneh Plumbing more than deserves five stars...this business also merits two snaps...and a pony. As new homeowners, this was the first maintenance issue we've had. (The only time that I miss having a landlord!) My hubs and I had no idea where to start in terms of finding a plumber and were frankly just expecting a ho-hum experience, regardless of who we hired. A plumber's a plumber, right? Not so with Manneh Plumbing! Ata took our call on a Sunday and gave my husband advice on how to potentially fix the problem with our leaky hot water heater so he wouldn't potentially have to come out for the repair. (How many businesses would actually talk themselves out of work?!!) Unfortunately, the quick fix he suggested didn't totally fix the problem (though it helped), so another call to Ata that Sunday afternoon, and he said he'd be by first thing Monday morning to fix our heater problem. Even though he was running only 15 minutes late, Ata called to let us know he was a wee bit behind schedule. When he arrived, he dove right into fixing the problem and was done in about 30 minutes. He let my husband shadow him so he could understand the cause of the problem and was very friendly and personable the whole time. I put having a good plumber right up there with knowing a good mechanic, so I'm thrilled to be able to check that one off my list. Ata's our go-to guy. read more

Ata did a great job for us improving our shower flow and slow-draining sinks, and then went on to another nagging problem we'd had (loose plumbing connection), and fixed that as well. He's very skilled, conscientious, and insanely helpful. My only complaint is that he charged us too little! Seriously. He worked hard, spent all the time it took to get the job done, and had to return with parts... and when I tried to pay more than the low amount he asked for, he refused. He's a rare gem. read more

Ata Manneh is an honest dealer. Another plumber 'discovered' that the pilot on my furnace wouldn't re-light after they'd shut the gas down for another repair. Insisted that it was so old that replacing the valve with a retrofitted part would be about the same cost as a new furnace. Mr. Manneh came out and relit the pilot in 5 minutes. He's been around San Francisco for decades, and he knows his business. My landlady and I will probably be relying on him for all our plumbing needs. read more

He came right away on a tuesday afternoon. Did a great job and took time to give us advice on how best to avoid a clog. He works in SF, only M Tue Wed and then in sacramento the rest of the week. He's got philosophy and an big heart too! $145 to do a full snake job on short notice is a good price around here. read more

Flushed a cell phone down the toilet (smart), where it got stuck in the pipe. This was quite an emergency because 1) I wanted to try to save the phone and 2) I didn't want to flush anything while the phone was in there so I had no toilet. Called Ata and explained the problem. He was at my door in 15 minutes. And out the door in another 30. I had my phone back and he even put a new seal on the toilet afterward. He also gave some helpful advice on how to possibly salvage the waterlogged phone! Ata is a very laid back and positive guy. His prices are fair and he does a fantastic job, goes above and beyond. I will definitely use his services again, hopefully not for another toilet phone... read more

Nice, professional, and does his best to stick to his schedule. He couldn't make it to my apartment at the time he had stated, so he came afterhours. The problem was more complicated than originally thought, so he came back first thing in the morning the following day to take care of it. He did so fast. He is very very clean. I liked that. I entered his contact info into my phone: he is "the plumber" now. read more

We have used him 2x - a kitchen disposal and then some other issues. Very nice, old school responsible, knows what he is doing. read more

Ata (owner) was here fast to fix my problem. He fixed the issue quickly and gave good advice to avoid the issue in the future.

Great value, wonderful service. Atta goes above and beyond. Save money when you get a blocked drain, don't call the roter people!!

This guy knows is stuff. Very professional and kind. Fair price. I tried everything to get the clog out but the drain still was really slow. After seeing the other glowing comments about Manneh, I called him in morning and he set an appointment for later that same day. He showed up right on time and got to work. He was great at explaining everything he was doing. With his tools and knowledge the drain was fixed in a jiffy. THEN he went on to tighten the loose faucet handles at no extra charge! It was like a time machine back to Ozzy and Harriet. Manneh is your man for worry free plumbing fixes. read more

Had a scheduling, phone number mix up but he came out at 9pm and is helping me replace my 87 year old 5 gallon toilet. Very nice, pleasant and obviously very knowledgeable in his trade. read more

We had a new kitchen faucet that needed installing, as well as a plugged bathroom drain. I called Manneh on Monday and he was free to come that Wednesday. He's available in SF Mon-Wed and services other areas Thu-Fri. He did a great job with the work and charged a very fair rate. When he found a cracked trap pipe on the kitchen sink, he replaced it for just the cost of the pipe. I'm planning to call Manneh again when we need some new bathroom faucets installed soon. read more

Ata Manneh is the real deal: a courteous, talented professional. Now that he's corrected our previous plumber's mistakes, he's earned a permanent customer. He's a one-person operation, so don't expect a full receptionist team. Do expect, however, that he'll get back to you, arrive when he says he will, and do perfect work. Highly recommended. read more

Great service! Ata helped me with a stuck garbage disposal. He arrived right on time, gave me a couple options, and even taught me how to un-stick the disposal on my own. I'll definitely call him when this thing finally dies on me and needs to be replaced. read more

Two for two. First Silas Appliance Repair, now Ata Manneh. He arrived less than an hour after I called for what turned out to be a minor sink leak job. He explained what he was doing and then did it. The price was right, too. What a perfect world! I have the best dentist, car repair place, appliance fixer, electrician, and now plumber. And he was nice to my sweet but yappy pups. Yep, I recommend him. read more

I would highly recommend Ata Manneh for any plumbing issues. He is very courteous, efficient, and responsive. We scheduled an appointment with him but his job before us escalated and took him all day. We spoke late in the day and he insisted on coming over to complete our job even though it was after hours. He even gave us a break on his fee. He does great work and I feel he is very honest. I would definitely recommend him. read more

Called in the morning, Ata Manneh came over right away and fixed my issues fast! Super fair, super helpful, friendly-great guy! Thanks Ata

Ata was professional, prompt, and courteous. The wall he cut, to get access to the supply pipe, was replaced cleanly & neatly. A bit of touch paint was needed. No way to tell cut, repair, & replace was done. We will call him again. We recommend him to anyone who asks for a GREAT plumber! read more

Faith in people restored. Ata was running late for our 4 pm appointment, which annoyed me a little, but he tried to work around my schedule. Then there was an honest misunderstanding about where I lived, making him even later and what seemed like unable to fix my problem. He then showed up at my place, apologized profusely for the misunderstanding and fixed my problem and didn't charge me. He truly is someone that wanted to make clear his reputation was important to him, that he stood behind his word and that he wanted to do good quality work. read more

I called to schedule an appointment/seek advice on the work, and guy answering the phone said they were too busy schedule an appointment in the future and that they were too busy to talk to me. I think he said to call back in a couple of months. Then, he hung up the phone. Yikes. read more

one star for flaking 2 appointments and then not responding to follow up emails. I communicated with Mr. Manneh by phone and email about our clogged drain and desire to install a water recirculator. He directed us which piece to buy online and after it arrived in the mail we made a couple of appointments. My partner stayed home all day and heard nothing form Mr. Manneh either day to explain why he no-showed. My subsequent polite emails were also ignored. read more

Ata, was punctual, answer his phone, came over for a long time and did an amazing job fixing the leak. i highly recommand him. i am so glad to know a plumber i trust. read more

I had a stopped up kitchen drain and Ata came and took care of it in a timely manner! Not only is he a very helpful and skilled plumber (he gave me tips on how to avoid problems in the future) he's also a very stand up guy. He works from the heart and his honesty is really appreciated. Not only did he fix the problem that I had, but also took care of little details that I didn't even know i needed his help with. I would recommend him to any of my friends or family! read more

Ata is an excellent plumber, honest, capable and to the point. He also will show you how to do simple repairs yourself. I highly recommend him for plumbing issues especially those that a run of the mill plumber may not be able to solve. I have worked in property management for over 20 years and he is the best! read more

I'm a real estate agent in SF, and I've been using Ata for at least 7 years. He has done work for my wife and me personally on many occasions, and many, many of our clients have used him as well. He does great work, for reasonable prices, and is just a really good fellow, too. I have complete confidence that he will suggest only the most sensible/necessary repair -- not at all one of those guys who comes in speaking mysterious plumber lingo and whose recommendations you have to evaluate carefully because you can't figure out whether he's saying what he's saying because you really need that solution, or because he wants to charge you a ton because he needs to pay his bills. He's straight-forward, competent, and honest. I wholeheartedly recommend Ata. read more

This guy is SO honest, that when I called to get an appointment to fix a faucet that wasn't working anymore, he gave me a quick tip, and BAM!, it worked!! Never met the guy, but I called to thanks him and tell him I would definitely call him next time I had a need! VERY honest and saved me some cash when he could have taken advantage of a situation! read more

There are no words to express how thankful I am to have found Manneh... An honest man who I would blindly hire to do any work. Manneh came to my rescue when a handyman spend 2 visits trying to fix a leaky faucet. I got excuses from difficult to locate the correct part to buy a new faucet to remove the sink to let's just try forcing the wrong part. $250 later.. faucet starts to leak.. Manneh steps in... knew the exact part and fixed it within 30 mins and less than $150.. never calling anyone else..Manneh is now on speed dial. read more

Ata is the best! Reasonably priced, honest, direct and a lovely man. For the price of a dishwasher install (this is what he did for me), you also get his world view on Peace, Love and Understanding. It's a bonus! read more

I wish I could give this Mr. Ata zero stars. I made an appointment with him a couple of days ago to come and fix a clogged drain this morning and he didn't show up at the appointed time. I called him after 15 minutes and he said, "Oh, sorry, I had to come up to Sacramento today to renew my license and I wanted to make sure I got here in time." No call to let me know he couldn't come, and no offer to fix it as soon as he returned. This after I had made time in my work schedule to be home when he came. Not good. read more

Ata Manneh is the best! I work as a house-keeper in Noe Valley and over the last few years have called on Ata many times. He has always been prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and more than reasonable and fair in terms of pricing. He is a true treasure. Just know this: He is in very high demand (for darn good reason), and only spends a few days in SF every week, So if he is a little tardy in getting back to you, please take it with a grain of salt, be patient. Ata is worth it!!! read more

He was awesome, professional, on time, and just extremely helpful! Will definitely keep him on our emergency phone number list!

I am thrilled! I found myself a new plumber! Ata came to my house late in the afternoon after an earlier phone call I had made to him. He was running a little late and apologized to me on the phone when he told me he was on his way over. He fixed my bathroom sink which was draining very slowly and fixed my tenants bathroom sink which was dripping. He charged me only for fixing her sink, he had a great hourly rate, he is a gentleman and a pleasant guy. He is NOT a plumber who is out to screw you or charge you ridiculous hourly rates like the last plumber I had. Ata is honest and tried to save me some money as well. I'd recommend Ata in a heartbeat and am thrilled to have found a great plumber. Now all I need to do is find a good electrician who is equally as competent and reasonable. read more

This is the plumber you want! The absolute nicest, most honest and forthcoming man in the biz. There are a lot of choices out there, and even a bunch with 5 star reviews, while the others might be capable I don't think you will find someone as good as Atta Manneh. read more

So simple. Read the great reviews, called and left a message, and within 1 hour Ata was at my door to assess the situation and give me a firm bid. He was very clear about what would be included and what would not. Within a couple hours he gave me a number and the next morning it was fixed, quickly, cleanly, as promised. On top of that, I asked for a lesson on my home's plumbing system and got a very thorough review. Ata wanted to make sure I understood and took extra time to make sure I also understood his work is guaranteed. I understand. I don't think I'll need it. read more

Ata came right out with minimal notice to fix several nagging issues we had been experiencing. Ata is more like an old-fashioned small town doctor -- he thoroughly and thoughtfully investigated each of our problems and educated me about options for repair instead of immediately recommending expensive replacements. We will definitely hire him again for future plumbing issues. read more

Adding myself to the long list of 5-star fans. Called at noon on a Tue for an issue with the water heater. Ata came that same night (after all his work), diagnosed the problem, and got everything fixed the very next day. In addition to all the other praise he gets on Yelp, and unlike most other plumbers, Ata is available and responsive via his cell phone. Highly recommend. read more
