Mann candy and cheesy potatoes. ( I did eat some of the meat off the burger because it was so packed full it was falling off)
    Kim J.

It is a cute little bbq joint! The service was quick. The lady at register was very helpful, and knowledgeable. The food... wow!! Coming from a bbq family.. this man knows how to do it. The taste is great. The flavor doesn't over power anything the meat is cooked to perfection. So juicy. The side I chose was delicious great pair. The Mann candy sandwich is what I ordered and it was delicious I did add cheese which only added to the flavor. I very much so enjoyed the cheesy potatoes. I will be back and I will bring my family!!

Always very impressed by the taste and freshness of the BBQ. I've tried a few things - burnt ends etc. They also try to support the Florissant community which I love. There isn't a place to sit and eat food that I can recall, and the wait was pretty extensive the last time I was there. They also run out of food so definitely come with an open mind because it's uncertain what will be available when you go. Probably the earlier the better & im sure weekends are busier. It's pricey but I will go again when I have the time to wait!

I was planning on eating at a place nearby, pulled into the parking lot to look up directions and was drawn in by the smell of this place! Very basic interior, decorated for Halloween right now, but you aren't coming here for the ambiance. You're coming for the food. And this place does it right. The young lady who took my order asked me some questions and helped steer me in the right direction. I got the loaded baked potato with pulled chicken. HUGE potato with a good amount of meat. Came with a side of bbq sauce and a tube of sour cream. Everyone was very friendly and clearly all get along. I ate inside and got to hear their conversations, which were all friendly and fun. Sounds like a good group! Seems like a lot of regulars coming in and getting their "usuals". Would suggest stopping in and trying if you are up that way!

Food and service were excellent. I liked the brisket sandwich and wings. Must try other things next time around.

Pretty good BBQ! I've always noticed Mann Meats (especially the BBQ bus), but never stopped by until today. I ordered the rib tips, potato salad, Mac n cheese, and beans to try. I like their sauce - it's thicker and has a smoky taste to it. The beans were very good and flavorful ! All of the sides were pretty good in fact. Service was prompt and easy. Ordering online was simple and helpful to know which items were out of stock. I will definitely be back when I have a hankering for ribs!

Been a few more times and consistently excellent. The hamburger is still the top option. The brat is a close second. The potato salad is the best side. Order online for convenience. The staff is extremely friendly. Their support of the local community is admirable. Highly recommend.

This…read moreplace was suggested by a local, and I am so glad that I went because it was the best BBQ that I have ever had. I wasn't sure what to order, but the friendly staff recommended that I have the brisket, and I'm so glad I heeded their advice. The brisket sandwich was the most tender meat that I have ever had. I had never had brisket before having that sandwich, now my mouth waters any time I talk about this restaurant! The cole slaw that I had as a side provided the perfect crunch and balance. My mate had the pulled pork sandwich, which was also very tender. I also loved having a variety of barbecue sauces on the table and was able to try each one. Everyone has a preference, I'm sure, but after trying each one, I am completely sold on the Carolina gold. Also, I do not typically have a fountain soda, but the cola that was on tap was some of the best that I'd ever tasted. 10 out of 10 for Sugarfire, and I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in St. Louis!

The giant pig statue in front of the restaurant was actually quite informative, as it described where the meat comes from on a pig. Anyway, as I entered the restaurant, I stood in line. It was quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. There are long tables with many seats, so seating wasn't an issue. It is a first come first served dining situation. I ordered the 2-meat plate: brisket, ribs, baked beans, and potato salad. The brisket and the sides were definitely my favorite parts. The brisket was so tender, it basically fell apart in my hands! It was delicious! The baked beans were tangy and sweet, and the potato salad was creamy. I didn't like the ribs, they were very dry and definitely not worth the money. The barbecue sauces are in bottles on the table; my personal favorite was the Honey Badger, sweet with a little bit of heat. I found the Coffee BBQ sauce to be the most interesting; I have never had anything like it before. The coffee notes were subtle and helped balance out the smoky flavors. While I enjoyed the majority of my food, I am not sure if I will be returning. It was a nice experience, but the dry ribs left me feeling disappointed.

**disclaimer: I am visiting from California and reviewing different food spots in Missouri**…read moreWith that being said... Food: I know why this place got recognized on tv! It's really good! Fall off the bone meat, plenty of different sauces to try, fun drink options. What we ordered: Big Muddy - 10/10 had brisket and smoked sausage in it. Had to add more horseradish sauce to it but that's just my preference. Brisket Plate - 9/10 brisket was delicious but knocking off a point because the sides were...ok. Coleslaw had NO flavor just like mush and the Potato salad was nothing to write home about. Needed more flavor. Brownie pie slice: 10/10 moist and crumbly crust. I want an entire pie! Service: There was no one there when we arrived so we had no experience with any wait time. Just went right up to the front to order our meals and they chopped the meat up right in front of us, placed on a tray on top of the counter and we took it to the register to pay. Self service and self seating establishment. The lady at the register was very nice and happy. No complaints there! She was interested to know where we were visiting from and how we liked the food. Ambiance: this place looks cool! With hints of retro vibe inside! The ceiling says the name in a cool work of art. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Final review: Yes! I liked it and would return!

You order at the counter, which was easy, and then pay at the end of the line. The cashier was super helpful and offered recommendations on sauces and offered pickles or jalapeños for my To Go order. I ordered the Big Muddy sandwich which came with brisket, sausage, lettuce and pickles. It was also supposed to have horseradish and bbq sauce, but it did not. Maybe because it was To Go? The brisket was sliced right in front of me, but it was bad. It looked tender, but it was supper fatty and could handle be chewed. I spit most of it out. The problem was probably a bad cut of meat and not the smoking, but they still served it to me. The sausage was great, but only had a couple of little slices. I added some of the sweet sauce which was very good. I chose the beans for my side. Fine, but nothing special. A little dry, so I added sauce to help it go down. Then they had some local soda option, so I passed on an overpriced drink. It looks like there are more local options in the area, I would try somewhere else if ever back in this area.

Came late afternoon, so it wasn't very busy. I sat at the bar, and had phenomenal service from the bartender. But the food is where things really shined. I started the mail with the bacon deviled eggs. They were filled to the brim and super tasty. I got the two meat combo. With ribs, bologna, slaw, and cream corn. Everything was absolutely amazing. The baloney, with a fresh chowchow and Stone Ground mustard, was one of the best barbecue items I've had anywhere. The slaw some vinegar based and it's very tangy. It was very good. I originally wanted ribs but decided to order ribs the next night from another location so I'll save that review for that location. This particular location is on the loop and I believe a college is close by. Our Uber even mentioned that we were going out for fancy bbq. There isn't a waitlist at this location so we took our chances on having a seat here. If there wasn't a seat, there are many other spots along the loop we could've opted for. The goal was St Louis bbq - Concert - home. We arrived and were seated immediately. We were given the indoor/outdoor option and opted to sit outside. Our order was taken, food brought out promptly, and everyone was nice. My only complaint was my impatience when leaving. Once we had our food, we didn't see the server again. I had to end up going inside to ask for the check. I normally don't do things like that but on this night, we needed to walk for the 7pm show start time. All in all, I'd definitely make this a normal spot if I lived in St Louis. My wife had the brisket. I decided to go with the grilled cheese brisket and beef fat fries. I loved the place. Neither of us had any complaints. The brisket was delicious! Side note: They have a few sauces: Sweet, Hotangy, and Mustard-Carolina. They're all good in their own ways but I think we decided on sweet being the best. I loved the hotangy... it's not hot but when dipping anything in it, the taste is too much. Of their locations I've visited, this location does get busy and even if it's not, sitting outside you'll have people walking by on the sidewalk almost non-stop. It's a very busy stretch of the city.
