Had a great meal - ordered two curries and two appetizers with my wife. We both thought the saag paneer tasted bland though (we both like spicy). The garlic naan was soo good. Also the cauliflower appetizer was interesting and good.

Great food! A hidden indian jem in ridgewood with great service! Loved the chicken tikka and the chicken biriyani!

Stopped by Manjal with some friends for a quick lunch on Saturday. Surprisingly, they were not serving a buffet for lunch. It's a pretty small restaurant, a bit further from the main area of Ridgewood. We were seated quickly, and the waiter took our drink order. The menu is pretty much the same as any other Indian restaurant. But it is a lot more expensive averaging about $20 per entree. We went ahead and ordered the Goan Shrimp, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Chicken Biryani. The waiter asked what kind of naan we would like, but failed to mention it did not come with our meal like at most other Indian restaurants. The food was good, but spending more than $60 on lunch for 3 is a bit much.

Lamb Tandoori.

Judging by how we consumed and devoured the food!!!! Yes, it is great. We had psalm paneer, lamb tandoori, buttered chicken, samosa, and gulag jaman. The lamb was so tender and the sauce was superb. Not spicy hot but very very good. And don't forget the butter and garlic nan. Everything was soooooo good taste like heart warming home-cooked food. Place is nice and clean, bright and open. Can be a place to bring a date and enjoy the company and the food. The music is romantic and just the right volume where you can still talk to one another. Parking though is not free. So if you plan to come and check them out - pay for two hours to truly enjoy from appetizers to desert. Enjoy!!!!!!

Lamb vindaloo (left) and Chicken tikka masala (right)! Huge portions too.

This is our go to for Indian food. We have tried the others in the area and Manjal is by far the best.

Small place, really good service, food was relish. Good place for Indian cuisine. I'd recommend this place.

Wow, wow, wow! Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and I cannot stop thinking about…read moreBukhara Grill. His birthday was on a Sunday and when we arrived at open, we had the place to ourself for a good while until one other party arrived. In that time, 5-6 people came to pick up their to-go orders, so the place is very popular! While we were viewing the menu we munched on what I believe is called papadum with 3 different sauces. My favorites were the minty one and the mango - delicious! To start, we ordered the Hara Bhara Kabob which were spinach and goat cheese patties. I absolutely loved these! Additionally, we tried the butter chicken lollipops. The lollipops themselves were so crispy and crunchy and the sauce - I really wanted to drink it (lol) it was soooo good! My husband really wanted the lamb vindaloo that he saw when he looked at the menu online and although it was not on the in restaurant menu, they still made it for him! I ordered the chicken tikka masala. Additionally we got the garlic naan which was MASSIVE and so aromatic! Both of us enjoyed our meals, expect the spice level on the lamb vindaloo was a bit much for my husband and he likes spicy. He struggled through eating it but kept on because the flavors were too good! When we ate our leftovers the next day, they were just as good!!!! Heating up the leftover naan filled my house with the best scent and everything tasted just as good as when we ate it freshly made at the restaurant. This time we cooled down the vindaloo with some yogurt which was perfect - flavors all still there just a bit more mild and we were able to savor them more without the struggle haha When I made my reservation, I informed them it was my husband's birthday and although we were full and did not get to dessert, they brought him out a dessert platter with their popular desserts and a candle. So, so kind! The platter had the carrot pudding - gajar ka halwa, gulab jamun and shakori rasmalai which was a sweet, spongy cottage cheese dessert which I've never had but was amazing! They are byob and there is street parking, so plan accordingly. Thank you so much Bukhara Grill for a delicious meal and exceptional dining and birthday experience! I highly recommend checking them out!

Waiters took our orders quick but once the food came? We had to ask twice for more Sangak Bread since we ordered 3 different hummus. And originally only came with maybe 5 pieces of bread total which def wasn't enough for a party of 5 and 3 big plates of hummus. THE DRAMA- A waitress or the owner? She was holding a plate that I assume was my stew and I said that's mines and she automatically said no it's not mines...hmm ok my fault...yet turns out it was mines...she wasn't the person who took my order yet assumed it wasn't mines nor asked "did you order Gheymeh Bademjoon?" I found that off putting but shrugged it off, maybe I was just starving from not enough bread for all that hummus which was freaken delicious. We had a few main entrees and everything was tasty and def authentic with all those unique flavors. I did put the hummus over my rice for extra flavor, didn't want to toss them out. Overall it's a good spot, one of a kind of flavors you don't have often. My group left full but not exactly satisfied? Oh it's also a BYOB place. Not sure I would go back though.
