Really love everything about Manhatta. The food , the drinks, the views are simply spectacular. The service is excellent. I have been four times now and it's always a hit. Never had a bad meal or a bad cocktail. Worth it just to go to the bar have a drink and take all the views.

I absolutely love Manhatta! It's charming, classy, romantic, and the food is delicious. Recently with the good weather in New York we've been getting into rooftop/high elevation dining experience. This restaurant lounge is situation on the 60th floor in the FiDi area. They start with a coat check on the first floor before welcoming you to the 60th floor. There is a bar area to sit at to wait for your table if it's not ready yet. They offer a lunch course menu, a bit more affordable compared to the dinner course menu. If you want to order a la carte, that's only from the bar area seating with is first come first serve. We got a reservation for lunch to do a celebration and they even wrote congratulations on the post card displayed on our table. While windows seatings are never guaranteed, when we came around 2pm on a weekend it wasn't completely packed and most groups were able to be seated near a window. From the 3 course menu food we ordered: - beef tartare - fluke crudo - sea bass with mussels - Berkshire pork neck - cheese plater - millefeuille Everything was delicious and tasted really fresh. I'm usually not a raw meat person but the beef tartare was prepared so well I couldn't resist! I love the rice crunch paired with the green sauce, it was irresistible. I don't know why but I was obsessed with the grilled okra in the Berkshire pork neck entree. Something about the combinations - the flavorful dry spice with the perfect smoky charcoal grilled complex - unforgettable. (I love my vegetables) The dishes were not only all mouthwatering but also pleasing to the eyes. I would highly recommend this place! The service was also excellent. It's the perfect place for a date or even celebrating something with family and friends. I also saw someone came by themselves just to enjoy the skyline view in peace.

Run don't walk to try Rebecca Choi's dessert menu at Manhatta. We had some ice cream with honey and all of the components were just magical together. The entire meal was lovely and the service and view are incredible.

Manhatta pairs panoramic NYC views with a focused New American menu. Three-course lunch prix fixe included: Fresh beef tartare American Wagyu New York strip, properly cooked, strong beef flavor, served with okra Coconut mousse dessert Service was knowledgeable, pacing was appropriate, and a sommelier supports an extensive wine and aged Madeira list. The open kitchen adds visual interest, and the high-floor location eliminates outside city noise while maintaining a comfortable interior sound level. Reservations are recommended. Dress trends smart casual to business casual. Fully accessible. Best for couples or business meals seeking an upscale setting with exceptional views.

Great restaurant in the financial district. The downstairs coat check and check in was very organized and easy. Beautiful views and great lounge and dining area. There was a bit of a wait to be seated but it didn't take too long. We went for restaurant week and really enjoyed the food. The burrata dish was pretty yummy. I did feel like it was missing something and I didn't quite see how the olive crumble fit with the dish. The burger was absolutely delicious although was definitely cooked more than a medium rare. However it was super juicy and I loved it so I can't complain. The campfire mousse dessert was so yummy. For some it may be too sweet but I loved it. Service throughout was great. Would definitely recommend for a panoramic dinner experience at a reasonable price. Food was also pretty good.

It's only been two years since my last visit (time flies!) but I'm thrilled to report that Manhatta remains excellent both in service and quality. I popped in briefly for a drink and had the Escape and a White Negroni and both were excellent. Service is sharp, friendly and incredibly hospitable. Will be back soon!

Great ambiance, would be a cute date spot with the nice views! My friend and I did the the 4 course meal. I ordered the burrata, octopus, duck, and the an Asian toast dessert. Everything tasted great overall, but wasn't a huge fan of the thick breading on the octopus. Dinner took almost 3 hours, which felt a bit long, but service was attentive the whole time.

I came here for a birthday dinner and it was absolutely amazing. we checked in at the lobby and there's complementary coat check. We went upstairs and the hand off was super smooth. They remembered it was my sister's birthday and she multiple people wished her happy birthday throughout the night. I really appreciated that and it made it that much more special The staff was amazing and had the best recommendations. We loved our food. I got to catch up with my sister, and we never felt rushed at all. It was such a lovely experience. The view is also spectacular. I would recommend this for a special occasion.

Great service and a spectacular view! Manhattan was only about a 5 minute walk from our hotel and we stopped in for a cocktail and snack. You enter downstairs and it starts with the great service immediately, as well as a free coat check. It's a quick and easy hotel ride up to the amazing views of the Manhattan skyline! Delicious drinks and a small menu that starts at 5pm. We got the garlic knot and it was ok - it took a bit and was different than I expected but still enjoyed it. The labneh with chili oil is what really made it. Honestly I wouldn't have even complained about the wait, but the bartender comped it for us on her own accord which was super nice. We had an amazing time here and I'd definitely recommend it for the ambiance, service, and drinks.

Incredible views, impeccable service, irresistible dishes - what is not to love about Manhatta?!

Amazing view. Amazing food. Amazing service. This place is in the 60th floor near the financial district. You check in and coat check then head up on an elevator. The views are stunning and they have binoculars you can look to see around the city. The food for lunch is an amazing value. We opted for the three course prefix menu. The appetizers and the burgers are amazing! The service is unmatched here. Definitely come here if you are in town. Happy Yelping!

Had a nice, if too long, restaurant week lunch here, luckily with spectacular views to keep our eyes entertained. The space was airy and bright, thanks to the floor to ceiling windows. Food was good with a couple dishes that stood out. Both appetizers, burrata with blood orange and Hamachi crudo, were fine. The latter especially lacked the complexity I was expecting with mango and salsa macha as ingredients. The pasta we were also surprised by the lack of punch given that it was a garlic cream sauce. It mostly tasted of bottarga, understandable given what a strong flavor cured roe has. Luckily, the burger stole the show--perfectly cooked and with a delectable topping of cooked onions. We liked both desserts, with favorites split down the table. As someone who doesn't particularly like caramel or coconut, I was shocked that the coconut mousse with caramel and various chocolate forms was the clear winner for me. The smokey caramel was addictive and paired well with the bitterness of the cocoa nibs and the creamy coconut. Service was attentive, but slow to start and to wrap up, the latter likely a glitch because they brought our bill after we finished our second course and we waited around 40 minutes for dessert before we ultimately flagged a server down to ask about the third course and were told the system had marked our dessert as served and service as completed. They kindly gave us some sorbet scoops on the house to make up for the delay. If I had family or special guests visiting, I'd come back solely for the delicious burger and the impressive views.

Food 6/10 Service 9/10 Ambiance 10/10 Youre paying top dollar for a breathtaking view. Unfortunately it kind of ends there. We had reservations for chef's counter so we werent sitting in the dining room where it is surrounded by floor to ceiling glass but we could see it. The food is subpar compared to other restaurants in the same tier. Every dish was a hit or miss and for that price point, every dish should be stellar. Best dish in my opinion was the scallop but even then, it was oversalted and the accompanying dikon was too acidic. The turnip though was delicious. If you want a breathtaking view: by all means, come, grab a drink at the bar and watch the sun set. But if you want to eat, prob go elsewhere.

Can you see the sunset from this restaurant?

    When are you officially open?

How much money should I budget for the restaurant?

That's a good question, Fairriana. The budget depends on what you're trying to have. For weekend brunch, perhaps around $70; but for dinner $100 should suffice. That is outside tax and tips. I also recommend bringing your camera. The view from up… Read more

Just out of curiosity, is there an age limit? I saw many different types of drinks on the menu, curious if you have to be 21+ to eat here.

No age limit to eat there. Dress nicely and bring plenty of $$$$$$.

How long does it usually take to finish their prix fixe dinner? thanks in advance

About 90 mins to two hours but they are SO accommodating so if you need to be in and out faster, just let them know!

    Is a reservation required?

No, a reservation is not required, but it's best to have one during popular times. Reservations can be made through the Manhatta webpage 30 days in advance. They also have two bars where they serve the same menu. Enjoy!

I'm traveling with my 5 year old daughter, would it be okay to take her with me here for lunch?

It will depend on your daughters taste buds and if she likes the food they have, they do not have a children's menu.

Do you need to reserve a spot at the bar, or can you just walk in? Especially asking for Saturday on valentine days weekend.

Yes, you can just walk in to snag a spot at the bar! It does tend to get busy during peak hours, but there are several tables as well as a separate lounge area with couch seating.

    Wouldn't find dress code anywhere?

There's no dress code, but it's a special occasion restaurant. I wore a sports coat without a tie. The women I was with dressed nicely. Don't be that person in a tracksuit.

Do i have to make a reservation to just eat here?

I believe they accept walk-ins but for a prime hour dinner, reservation is a must.

Where is the best window seat in the house?

There's no real "bad seat" as you can see the view from nearly everywhere and there are binoculars dispersed throughout the restaurant. You can ask for a table next to a window though.

The restaurant looks amazing. Considering booking a table for lunch, as a surprise for me and my boyfriend, but is there also a pre-fix lunch menu or is it just for dinner? Kind regres

For lunch I saw a menu For dinner - prefix Enjoy!

Can you go for drinks at the bar only or is a food reservation required?

Yes you can. I recently went and was told by the young woman working the coat check that you are free to go up simply for drinks but its best to get there around 2:00 pm in order to get a spot and order from the kitchen that opens up at 2:30 pm.

What is the proper attire for this restaurant?

Most people are dressed 'business casual' and up - but I saw people in jeans, so it varies

    Do They accepts walkings? Thanks

Yes, they do. Reservations are easily placed through the Resy app, though

Does the bar face the windows? I'm eating alone on a Monday 6 pm- think I could get a nice table then instead?

Hi Cathi, We do have some bar seats that are very close to the windows and all of them face the window.… Read more

The front part where you first walk in is the bar area with some tables. This restaurant is on the darker side and brings you back in time. Once you walk in further that is where the main dinning room is. This is also on the darker side as you can maybe tell by my photos. The wall paper and art around the restaurant is cool and there are some monkey statues around the restaurant. I was seated in a corner table in a booth area that seemed to be for at least 2-3 people. I thought for sure they would seat me at the bar area. I had a wonderful waitress whose name I think was Taylor but I could be wrong. I ordered the Monkey bread to start off with. It's a very buttery bread with truffle and parm cheese on top. I have alot of allergies and I was searching online if I could even have truffles as I have a nut allergy. So, I asked the waitress and she said she had never heard this. But, she came back to me and told me that White truffle grows near or like over where Almonds grow from but that, they don't use white truffle so I was all good. Well, this was super nice of her to check for me. I had no idea she was going to do this. She said the restaurant has strict protocols when it comes to food allergies. I then got for my main dish the double cheese burger with onions and pickles. To drink I had the cucumber martini. WOW everything was pretty darn good!! I passed on dessert. If you get a chance or a reservation pops up in your resy to go, even if it is for lunch..I highly say go for it.

Our server was…read moreincredibly warm, upbeat, and full of energy--one of those people who genuinely elevates a meal. I only wish I could remember her name because she deserves the recognition. We started with drinks, and mine ended up being a surprise standout. I ordered the coconut margarita, slightly hesitant since I'm not usually a margarita fan--but it completely won me over. It struck a perfect balance and leaned just enough into the coconut to make it feel unique without being overpowering. My sister-in-law, who's pregnant, had a non-alcoholic Ritual margarita and loved it, noting how convincingly it mimicked the real thing. Since we were sharing, we got to try a good mix of the menu. The monkey bread came first--definitely a splurge at $34, but it's one of those fun, indulgent starters that's worth ordering at least once. While I wouldn't call it the best bread I've ever had, I also wouldn't change anything about it. The crab rangoon was another highlight. Having it made with real crab made a noticeable difference, and the dipping sauces complemented it really well. It felt like a more elevated take on something familiar. For mains, the French dip was a hit. The meat was incredibly tender, the bread had that ideal crusty exterior, and the au jus was packed with flavor--I was very glad I ordered extra. It pulled the whole dish together. We also tried the smoked whitefish Caesar, which was the only dish that didn't quite land for me. It was a well-made, fresh salad, but the smoked fish flavor was a bit overpowering and took over the balance of the dish. Even though we were too full for dessert, the restaurant surprised us with a scoop of strawberry ice cream with chocolate sauce to celebrate my sister-in-law's babymoon. It ended up being one of the most memorable bites of the meal--we're still talking about how good that ice cream was. We arrived right at 11:45, and by the time we left, the place was absolutely buzzing. It's clearly a popular spot, and for good reason. Between the lively atmosphere, strong service, and well-executed food, I'd highly recommend making a reservation if you can.

Bartenders were cool and drinks were good. Because it was a Sunday and it was pretty busy, we decided to get a table before the restaurant filled up. The waiter was super cool and did not rush us while we waited at our table. I got the braised short rib mafaldine and I gotta say it was one of the better pasta dishes I have eaten in a while. Very thick and flavorful sauce along with the nice texture of the mafaldine pasta and nice and tender meat made this such a great dish. Very generous portion size, too. Even when we were finished and we stayed and talked a bit, we weren't rushed by the waiter and he let us continue to stay and talk. That was pretty cool of him. Also came by several times to drop off water and check if we needed anything else. Some negatives are that the place is pretty dark and kind of cramped. It is also pretty loud, so you will need to speak pretty loudly to be heard at your table. Overall, I loved the braised shot rib mafaldine. My friends also liked their dishes, which included the steak, late night spaghetti, and Mediterranean salad. If I'm back in the area, I will be sure to come back here.

Went to Zou Zou's for a little bday celebration with gfs and had a great time. Not to mention,…read morethere was such a sweet little bday care when we got to the table. So thoughtful, and such a great touch to start the evening for us. We decided to order the family style menu and we enjoyed the whole dinner. All of the dishes on the menu were really good and great price for $74pp. I wish we had a 4th in our party so we couldve had the duck, but we'll definitely be returning to do so. The dips were so good and so fresh! I think all of the dishes were perfectly seasoned. I get sad when dishes are overly seasoned or overly salty. Oh, and im not much of a sweet tooth, but their dessert was marvelous and the sweetness was balanced so nicely.

Walking in, it's a stunning restaurant and on this night, not too crowded which made us wonder why they would seat us next to the servers station away from dozens of much nicer tables. Note that I booked through Open Table where I have Gold status which I thought meant you get a better table. Next fail, we wanted to start with a Mediterranean dip, but they only offer that if you go with a $39 tray with multiple dips. Not something a party of two would be able to east, so we skipped apps altogether. Sucks too, because several tables had it and it liked amazing, just too much for two. For dinner I had the Yemeni Au Police Kebab, Filet Mignon which was absolutely delicious. The peppercorn Hawaii really sweetened the meat's flavor. So high marks for the steak. My wife had two small dishes which she wasn't as thrilled with, Grilled Artichokes which were too dry for her liking and Manti, which she liked. Main takeaways. Very pricey, beautiful atmosphere (if you get a nice table) and maybe a place that's better for a group than a couple.
