    Mango Smoothie
    Adam B.

A cute little mango trailer joining the Saturday farmers market at the Ferry Building. I absolutely love mango, so am stoked to see a vendor being so mango-centric. The desserts were especially memorable; I hope even more innovative sweets join the roster in the future. Mango Sticky Bun: I can't believe this is vegan! A very soft and gooey cinnamon bun, even better than a warm Pillsbury version. Nice cinnamon taste and a good amount of condensed coconut milk. But with a bunch of flavorful chunks of tender mango on top. Really great. Mango Smoothie: Seemed pretty simple with mango, ice and some lime juice. Light and refreshing. Though truth be told, a little coconut milk could have made this next level! Mango Parfait: So it's not the typical parfait I'm familiar with, that's usually equal part fruit and equal part something else (e.g. yogurt, fluffy cake). This is more for the mango lover because it's a cup filled with huge mango slices primarily. And a bunch of condensed coconut milk to make it sweet and creamy. Plus a very slight amount of chocolatey granola for crunch and some coconut whipped cream and chocolate sauce on top for more indulgence. Oh yeah, also a bunch of strawberry chunks. Felt very healthy for a dessert-type dish.

Visited the truck in the south bay. There's adorable decorations around and had a great spring/summer vibe. Got the mango noodles and mango juice. The juice is freshly squeezed in the morning and is good for 2 days! The business owner is kind and efficient. She even offered me a free sticker to choose to keep and her collection is very cute and unique! She takes credit and cash

The owner/employee working the truck was very nice and I loved her energy. It was a super crowded/busy day but she still seemed happy to be there working! I liked the smoothie - but it could be better with more ice so it would be colder. It was definitely refreshing and sweet, I just wish it was colder. 4 stars instead of 3 though because I liked the employees and think it's a great concept with a unique product!

While walking up the south driveway, I noticed this stand, located right by the south entrance to the Ferry Building Marketplace. There were three or four people in line when I joined in around 9 am. The wait is not too long considering that, if you order items other than the juice, the young lady actually constructs them after you order. Being only about a third done in my shopping, I got things to try later. I first started with the mango sticky bun (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=c2A7kWJPYm3FP_8K04DtGQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) which was garnished with strawberries to the side and topped with mango chunks; she also squirted some sauce or frosting on the top after adding the fruits. I took a small bite when I got home to try and saved the rest for the next morning after refrigerating it. It is probably best eaten there as the sticky buns are kept in a toaster oven as she puts them together to order. This can be eaten for breakfast or a dessert, whichever suits you. I also brought home a bottle of mango juice (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=wH6WDJDVCqmtTjWQmn2ODw&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), comprised of fresh mango, pineapple, and fresh lime juice. I tried to apportion myself in having this since my MD warned me about fruit juices and sugar content. I was pleasantly surprised in drinking half of this on the rocks that this was mildly sweet. Always nice to see a new face at the market especially when they offer quality products. She will be here through the end of the year so stop by if you are at the market on a Saturday.

the Mangosay food cart was parked on Oakland's Broadway in front of Grocery Outlet. as the line was short and the cart is so elusive, i got in line. offerings: mango smoothies, mango spiral noodles with choice of toppings. drink: mango smoothie (16 oz. 7..75) rimmed flavored with tajin seasoning -has mangos, agave, organic mango powder, lime juice, coconut milk. -comes without a straw, not difficult to drink straight from the cup. -slightly sweet from agave, smoothie is very addictive. a few gulps and it was gone. didn't have ice so not watery. yummy. no aftertaste... drips: -mango spiral noodles are popular in Mexico. -would be helpful if menu wasn't just on counter. difficult to decide instantly, a posted menu elsewhere would make it easier to social distance. -service was cordial, efficient, quick...

Mangosay was parked near Zanker Rd today! The orange cart crossed our eye. As soon as i saw mango + sticky buns we just had to check it out. The owner was friendly and the sticky buns were delicious! We need more pop ups like this! #supportlocal

Read about this cart on a Facebook group for Bay Area foodies. It happens that I LOVE MANGOS and so do my friends so we came out here on a Sunday afternoon while it was parked in Elan River Oak Complex. First, I love how sustainable this is. The cups are sustainable. They don't use lids or straws. You may think you need a straw for smoothie but trust it's delicious without because Sierra, the owner, puts tajin on the rim of the cup like a yummy mango smoothie margarita We got the mango smoothies and mango noodles. I highly recommend BOTH. They are delicious. The smoothie doesn't have a lot of options but the noodles have a ton of different flavor options. Sierra told us that all the flavors go together and she was not wrong. We got the noodles with basically all the offered spices/flavorings except for the vinegar and hot sauce. Needless to say, it was so good we drank what was left over of the sauce plain. The owner, Sierra, is lovely. When asked why a mango cart she told us she simply loves mangos!! Find out where she'll be by following on ig @mangosay. Also bonus points by drinking these delicious smoothies you support a woman owned and black owned business. Don't miss this!!

An entire menu dedicated to one of my all-time favorite fruits? YES PLEASE! I was excited to find out about this business through the Foodwise newsletter and sought it out at the Ferry Building Farmer's Market today. I ordered a mango smoothie with tajin rim and two mango sticky buns (one for myself and one for sister). The smoothie was refreshing and delicious--not overly sweet. The sticky buns were really yummy with the chunks of mango inside and topped with fresh strawberries. Such a wonderful treat! And the owner was so lovely and nice! I'm excited to try everything on the menu!

We are so lucky that we found out about Mangosay. You can find out her location based on her Instagram or website. The owner Sierra loves mangoes and it shows. She uses the freshest ingredients and I love that it's dairy free too. Make sure to get the smoothie and lick the Tajin on the rim while drinking mmm. Also don't skip on trying out the noodles! They're made from spiralized mangoes with spices on it. It is refreshing with a sweet, salty, sour and spicy profile. A party in your mouth!

But since then and nowadays they have tougher competition that I prefer to go to over them and recently started to develop a hate and love relationship here. It used to be my die hard go to taco truck. This truck for me makes delicious carnitas burritos and pollo tacos. And a sleeper is the al pastor burrito and suadero tacos. That al pastor isn't made from the trompo but the seasoning and juiciness of their version in the burrito is what makes it one of the best burrito options on there if you haven't tried it. Carnitas burritos is super delicious because you get that nice crispiness of the fried tender pork with the rice, cheese and sour cream. I like to ask for onions, cilantro and tomato in mines for variety and freshness to cut the heaviness of the fats and dairy. Tacos I normally would get or recommend is the Carnitas, Pollo, Cabeza, Suadero, and Asada. Carnitas are as delicious as explained with the burrito. Pollo or known as chicken tacos are super tender and juicy. It's also very flavorful, and one of my favorite chicken tacos to get here because most places don't make chicken very well and are usually very dry. The cabeza is super tender and a great option. Suadero just like the asada is just a better version of the asada cut. It's packed with more flavor and seasoning than the asada and slightly more tender which is why I prefer it to the regular steak. I tend to find the asada more dry and sometimes tough. Recently the pricing doesn't reflect on the fairness of the portion size. $4 tacos but the meats aren't as packed. Felt like they started to skimp because of rising costs but has been happening before then. $15 burrito but the sizing isn't as filling as it used to be. I started to see more rice than meat. They've also started to be very stingy with a huge attitude especially the gentleman that works on the pick up station when asking for extra pickled veggies, limes and salsa. And it happens every time for the past several years now. For example he gave me 2 limes, 4 pieces of sliced pickled carrots, 2 slices of pickled jalapenos, 3 radishes, and 1 rojo salsa for an order of a super burrito and 7 tacos. When I asked for extras the gentleman gave me an attitude and said he already did and won't give more. Only reason I still go here is because it's close to home and if my favorite spots for tacos are closed for the night.

The main drawback is the price, especially for a casual DIY-style meal with mainly chicken and tofu choices. I also get food from Bombzies catered at my workplace and they're typically pretty good and specialize in flavorful Asian comfort food.
