My friend was craving churros so I went with her and we shared the following: -Original churro: Good for satisfying a little sweet tooth. Not too sweet. A little chew to it, but in a good and satisfying way. Can't go wrong! -Vanilla churro: Favorite! It was creamy, and even though it looks like it would be sweetness overload it wasn't too sweet at all! Like a vanilla pudding stuffed into a churro. I've been coming here for a while, and the churros are always fresh, hot, delicious, and consistent. They offer both regular churros and churros rellenos--filled with vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, or caramel. They're all great, but my favorites are the chocolate-filled churro and the classic unfilled one. They also serve plátanos, but to be honest, I've never tried them because I love the churros too much. I always tell myself I'll give them a shot next time, but the smell of those freshly fried churros gets me every time. The cart is conveniently located near the Fruitvale BART station, with easy parking. The woman who works there is incredibly kind and always so sweet. Churros: Im a churros lover and this was FRESH!! They literally fry it right in front of you. And its so cheap! I'd be careful though, its piping hot . But it cools down surprisingly fast. But genuinely is really hot and I bit a few right when they gave it to me and had to toss it like a potato around my mouth to avoid burns. They're at $3.99 now and one tip I've learned from a coworker is that you could ask her to fill it with another flavor. I was excited to see a churro truck since I'd been craving a nice hot and crunchy churro for weeks - - but I was disappointed by my experience with Churros Mexicanos Plus. At $4 per 6in churro, these babies are expensive! I was expecting a big stick of a churro, but nope. These are the lil' ones :c I ordered a strawberry churro, assuming that they'd make one to order and the sauce would be provided on the side. Nope. I watched the worker walk to the end of the truck where a bunch of churros sat out and take one of those and stab it to fill it up. Okay, I guess having it filled makes it easier to eat. BUT. She pierced through the side of the churro and the sauce ended up being partially inside and outside...making it rather messy to eat. The strawberry sauce had an artificial taste. The churro was warm from sitting on the fryer, but I do wish it had been made to order so there'd be that added crunch factor. This was definitely the most authentic churro I've had in the US, and on par with the churros you can get in Mexico. I have a very mixed opinion on cajeta, since I'm not big on goat's milk caramel, and opted for their Chocolate Filled Churro ($2.50) which was amazing!! A must try for sure. The churro was still warm, perfectly crispy on the outside but still light and fluffy inside. The chocolate filling had great chocolate flavor and wasn't overly sweet. I will be back to try the caramel filled and more chocolate filled! Parking in this area is super tough, and you have to luck out to get street parking if you don't want a long walk. I believe you can also park at the Fruitvale BART lot nearby. read more

We booked Churros Mexicanos for our wedding, and they were a huge hit! All our guests were so excited and surprised when their truck pulled up, and it created such a fun atmosphere. When I was first looking for a churros caterer, I found mostly companies that would bake them off-site ahead of time, but I knew I wanted them fried fresh on-site. Churros Mexicanos was pretty much the only company that would do that, and they did an amazing job. The churros were fried fresh on the spot, and filled to order. Also, I'll just add that they handled the size of our event really well. We had about 130 guests (pretty much all of whom got multiple churros), but there was never really a line or wait. Also, because you pay by the hour and not per churro, it was nice for people to be able to try a bunch of different flavors. One thing I'll mention is that while booking, you might need to follow up a few times to make sure that you are good to go with the contract and deposit. I was told a few times they would reach out to me, but I never got the call. If I hadn't followed up multiple times, it honestly might not have happened. Regardless, it's totally worth extra effort to book Churros Mexicanos, since they are amazing at what they do, and your guests will remember your event forever if you hire them. read more
